Um, the food wasn't good to me. Especially for a seafood restaurant. My fried shrimp taste like batter coated frozen shrimp that was sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Met up with some colleagues I haven't seen in 10 years. Everyone arrived on time and was excited to see one another. The place was huge, clean, and empty because we got there when they opened at noon. It was well lit and great for groups. Our server came over and gave us menus. He returned with our drinks and took our food orders. I wanted crabs but no one else was getting crabs or we're allergic so I ended up getting a catfish and shrimp basket with onion rings. The fish & shrimp was great, the onion rings were really greasy or could have been the batter trapped the grease.. I couldn't eat them, I picked over them but it was all good we had a great time laughing and catching up on each others lives, and talking about other colleagues from temple. I usually enjoy my food at Crafty Crab, but this time around I was so disappointed. I grabbed two boils, and got some extra boom sauce on the side. After eating a couple of legs I decided to add the extra sauce. We'll, ​the sauce was terribly burnt and ruined the entire boil. A complete waste of money. I thought it was the same and should have tasted it before adding. I had to pay extra money for that sauce. Stopped here for a recent lunch and had a good visit. Parking was plentiful, the building itself was nice, lots of seating, good looking bar area and the outdoor seating looked very nice. Sadly, I was the only customer around noon and it wasn't until I was leaving that two couples came in to be seated. The wait staff/bartender was slow to get around, but I'm sure he had other duties since it appeared they were running on a skeleton staff. I went with something easy, a breaded shrimp basket with fries. The food came out quick and the shrimp were huge, the breading fell off most of the shrimp and the fries were fine. The server did his best to keep up, but he had to constantly run to the kitchen area. There were several drivers coming in for take out orders. I think the basket was around $13. The shrimp were a great size and the overall experience was not bad. I would return if I was in the area again. I felt for these guys, they seemed understaffed, but it almost seemed pointless to be open for lunch on a Friday with good weather. As this is a chain, I'm writing based on this particular location. We came here in the fall for a dine in experience after a farm visit. We had a group of 5 and sat in the partially outdoor area and closest to the opening (we're still on a pandemic). We were quickly seated and our server arrived quickly as well. The server was maskless so we requested that she wore a mask and she happily obliged. The table was clean and area was also well cleaned which was reassuring. We ordered our round of drinks, I got a margarita but might as well just got watered down limeade. Should have stuck to getting a white wine with my seafood boil. For my entree my seafood boil was as expected, good. And I was able to get the boom sauce (a combo of all their boil sauces). This restaurant is the former Kitchen Bar restaurant so the layout, look, and feel was the same but you could smell the delicious seafood seasoning as soon as you walk through the door. We arrived on a Monday evening close to 6pm so it was fairly empty (just a few people sitting at the bar area and in the dining room area). We were seated promptly after arrival and our waitress came shortly after. It didn't take long for us to place an order for drinks and food and about 15 minutes before our food was coming to the table. He ordered fried shrimp with a side of fried catfish and I ordered a seafood boil of snow crabs with shrimp (heads off). My boil came with 1 piece of corn and 2 small red potatoes. I added broccoli to my bag which was perfect getting the broccoli in the seasoning. I ordered the mild Crafty Cajun seasoning so it's not spicy hot but just enough of a spicy kick where it's not overpowering. For me that means it won't bring tears to my eyes as I eat. Lol read more

My daughter ordered the king crab along with shrimp and veggies. She could not tolerate the taste. Tried mine and her aunt's just to rule out itHeadless Shrimp being just her food. It was the same with all samples. Complained with the manager. He was SOOO rude saying how he couldn't or wouldn't do anything and nobody ever complains. Craving some clams, we decided to give this place a try. We ordered a few drinks to start with- they took forever, arriving after our food. The Long Island Iced Tea was good, potent, as it should be (lol) but the mojito was made with bottled lime juice and not very good. We started with fried okra, which was surprisingly tasty. We opted for the Loverman's combo with snow crab, shrimp, mussels & clams with a medium spice butter garlic sauce. I had zero expectations about the restaurant as my daughter chose the venue. It's a very casual dining experience, with bibs, buckets on the table for your refuse, and plastic cutlery. After asking for a metal fork I was given one (along with a crab cracker I also had to request). The service experience is very lax so please factor that in. The food itself was solid. We got the seafood boil with garlic butter sauce on the side so that our meal was not drowned in the sauce. The muscles were tender. The crab legs were cooked perfectly. Nobody really seemed thrilled to be there, which I get, but everyone was prompt and polite. We started with a dozen raw oysters and they were just awful. Just completely lacking in any flavor at all. I might have paid a dollar a piece, but they cost twice that. This was a big mistake and the low point of the meal. Everything else was much better. Fried tilapia with onion rings was delicious. Flavorful, light, and not at all greasy. A seafood boil with enormous green mussels, head-on shrimp, and smoked sausage was very tasty, although I wish the spiciest sauce was about twice as spicy. The place was mostly empty, so was expecting good service. When we got seated, we waited for everything. Slow to ask for drinks, slow to ask for appetizers, slow to ask for orders. Never came back to ask if we were pleased with our meal, or if we needed anything else. We needed to waive down the waitress for anything (i.e. drink refills, napkins, etc.). Additionally, the waitress clearly was not interested in making the experience better. We'd [probably] still be there today (5 days later) if we hadn't flagged her down for our check. We also noticed other customers receiving much better [and more pleasant] service from the same waitress. We do not like to pull "the race card" but it was very apparent that our waitress had her favorites, and it wasn't our group. The 3 star rating is all for the food. Sooo I had a late dinner with my two friends on a cool Friday night. The ambiance is casual as can be with a messy seafood joint! We each ordered 1lb of snow crab legs with the boom seasoning and it was EVERYTHING! The juices were flavorful, spicy, and well seasoned! I was impressed! I also ordered a patron margarita and it was yummy! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. No complaints throughout my whole experience. Great service! When I arrived there was no one waiting to be seated but no host either. my boyfriend and I just stood at the door for about 10 mins until someone came up, advised they'd be just a min and was another 10 mins. This place is short staffed for sure. Don't expect any class or manners either. They seem to hire the slowest of slow only.. Also the employees don't seem to be very happy, I mean most of the customers are ignorant. I saw about 3-4 people argue with their waiter.. def not a happy place. We got a large platter that came with Snow Crabs, oysters, craw fish, mussels, corn, potatoes, and baby clams served in "THE BOOM!!!" sauce (a mixture of the three seasonings). Needless to say, we asked to take the sauce home because it was all that was left (and it was delicious--probably the best beverage on the menu). The food was extremely salty to the point where I drank two full bottles of water within the first 15 minutes. We couldn't finish more than half the bag without feeling extremely gross. The whole bag was just off putting and I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. We got the Thirsty Crab Special sauce (mixed all the sauces together).
