Malt House is definitely a great addition to Rockledge. I worked in Rockledge for many years and rumors kept swirling around that Malt House was coming to the area. The excitement sank in when my friend called to make a reservation on Saturday. They weren't taking reservations, but walk-ins were being accepted. When we arrived, the hostess gave us the option to sit inside or outside. They have cute picnic tables with umbrellas out front so we sat outside. The tables were spaced out enough to allow for social distancing. I asked for an El Chavo Mango & Habanero hard cider on draft and unfortunately had to send it right back. My tastebuds couldn't handle it! I ordered an Angry Orchard instead. My friend and I split an order of the fried mozzarella. The outside was crispy and crunchy, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. I liked that they were shaped like triangles. Food is more fun when it's in shapes, right? I ordered cauliflower bites with garlic parm sauce. Delicious! The cauliflower wasn't as crispy as the fried mozzarella, but still very flavorful. It came with a side of sauce (don't know what it was exactly) but it was creamy and savory. Cheese fries are my weakness so I had to get them and they were excellent! It's obvious they make their fries in house. The cheese was smothered on top. Large portion for the price! The menu is smaller than most (I suspect because of COVID). Employees were wearing masks during my visit. Plenty of parking and seating. Great spot to hang out, have a couple beers and enjoy the music coming through the speakers.

I accidentally posted the below review to the wrong Gaul & Co. Malthouse the other day. For which I apologize. I accidentally posted it to the original Gaul & Co. Malthouse on Gaul Street in Port Richmond. When I saw that was incorrect, I deleted the post or thought I deleted it - it was hard to tell. In the end, it must have still been posted, so, Yelp took it down, which is the right thing to do, so again, my bad, sorry. However, then Yelp and or Malthouse also took down my post at the correct location, which was the Gaul & Co Malt House Rockledge. So in just case, you missed it.. here it is again with the addition of the "Flagged Content" Yelp tag line - I did not even correct my grammar reading it again. Flagged Content: My wife tried the WITORWITOWSKI, I told her it was bad but she had to find out for herself...blaa. Roast pork sandwich was decent, fries were very good. Got the "crab fries" with meat and cheese, very junkie in a good way. But if the menu says lump crab meat, then you should use and serve lump crab, what we got was not. Was served a Troegs Perpetual that expired in December and sat at a table that should have been put in the dumpster a long time ago. . I get the high school waitresses, i get that its a bar, that is fine. But come on people get it together.

Came here specifically for the Kielbasa Cheesesteak after some late night drinks at a brewpub. It was definitely a different take on the classic Cheesesteak as the chopped up bits of kielbasa was texturally confusing. Nonetheless, it was still good but just a little too salty.

Great food. Decent prices. Good music and friendly local environment. Nice outdoor spot if you want to eat outside. Lively bar area but still a clean environment for children. Took away 1 star because not really a diverse crowd (my preference but not a requirement). Also, they took awhile to take our order but it was also busy.

I think we spent our entire Summer here last year. Maybe even most of this one too. So, my first visit taste of Malt House was a few years ago at their original Gaul & Co in Port Richmond and I was an instant follower. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when this one opened in Rockledge. I'm a Polish girl and grew up eating kielbasa, along with every other Polish deliciousness my grandmother made. But I've never had shaved kielbasa like this until Malthouse. Now I have dreams about their egg rolls and cheese sauce. Staff is always friendly and attentive. They have weekly specials and occasionally live music. It's a great Summer hangout with lots of outdoor seating and heated tents when it gets cold. Great addition to our little corner of the world.

I was given a gift card and I wanted to try some grub so I called in order for pickup and it was ready when I got there. Everything was very fresh and hot. It all looked scrumptious. Burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the fresh cut fries were exceptional. Chicken fingers weren't boring by any means these were fantastic. I really enjoyed the breading and more of the hand cut fries. But I think the star of this food trifecta was the fried brussel sprouts. The order was immense but these were exceptionally delectable. So I would call this a win everything was delicious and will be back.

Home of the "wit or witowski" also my go to item. It's a delicious kielbasa cheesesteak. The malt often has live music, and is great in the summertime with the outdoor seating. Though a bit of a sports bar, the food is definitely above average bar food. This place has a fun atmosphere to watch a sports game or just hang out. The staff is generally great and if you're looking for a fun, clean spot in northeast Philly to go out for the night, look no further.

Friendly neighborhood bar. Service was friendly. A bit noisy. Food was good, nothing special but very good for bar food.

I called in my order and the woman on the phone said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I ordered two Hot Fuzz (one for my fiancé and his friend) and a Tuna Italiana. When I arrived, there were 4 customers inside waiting for their orders and browsing the massive selection of chips. Chubby's also sells beverages so you can make it a complete meal. Additionally, they serve breakfast sandwiches and are open 7 days a week! The Tuna Italiana sandwich really blew me away. The sharp provolone cheese, roasted red peppers and seeded roll made for a really nice flavor profile. Everything tasted fresh. They cut the sandwich in half properly so you aren't struggling to break it apart. Service was pleasant and fast, and prices are reasonable. It's slightly more expensive than Wawa but also more flavorful. Chubby's is my go-to now for deli sandwiches since it's in such close proximity to home.

Wasn't in the mood for a steak (I know, I know...don't crucify me) and I found Chubby's Fox Chase Deli on a google search based on where I was near and stopped in. The woman and man working were very nice. The shop is a tiny corner store with no seating so plan to grab and go. Got the "Turkey Italiana" which was turkey breast with sharp provolone, roasted red peppers, and garlic mayo on a seeded Liscio's roll (they had unseeded too if that's your vibe). This sandwich was excellent, I'm so happy I made this choice today. If you're up in the Northeast area and feeling a hoagie...this one is a winner. Absolutely Didn't Suck!

My Aunt has been to this place many times and recommended it, so we decided to place an online order. My Mom and Aunt split the cheesesteak and added cheese whiz and fried onions (with pickles on the side), an order of coleslaw, and I ordered the BBQ Chicken Wrap on a flour tortilla. I placed the order online for a 2:45 PM pickup. Unfortunately, my Mom and I were running a little late leaving the house and we ended up arriving at the store at 3:07 PM. We pulled up and there was a Closed sign on the door. I immediately was panicking since we already placed the order/paid for it, but I looked inside and saw an employee still behind the counter. I told her I was here to pick up the online order and she grabbed it off the counter for me. I felt so bad because I didn't realize that they close early (I saw store hours up until 5:00 PM and thought that was for every day, but Saturday they close around 3:00 PM). I'm sure the employee might have been a little annoyed I was late, but I appreciate that they stuck around for me!! In terms of the food, my Mom and Aunt enjoyed their cheesesteaks and coleslaw! I also enjoyed my BBQ Chicken Wrap. It wasn't as warm as I'd like, but that is entirely my fault since we picked the food up 20 minutes late. I was hoping this establishment would be on Uber Eats, as this would definitely be a go-to spot for me going forward!

However, many of you might not know that Mister Ricks also makes great cheesesteaks. They have one of the best cheesesteaks I've eaten in Philly. The sliced ribeye is tender, juicy, and flavorful and stuffed into a giant seeded roll. A bargain for $14.99. Get it with fried onions and your choice of American, Provolone, or Cooper Sharp Cheese (hint: get Cooper Sharp!). It was so good I didn't even need to add any flavorings like ketchup or mayo to it (some cheesesteaks in South Philly are so dry they need ketchup and mayo to make them palatable). Mister Ricks cheesesteak is also physically larger than a lot of cheesesteaks I've eaten, so not only do you get a great cheesesteak, but it's also a great BIG cheesesteak that can be shared, especially if you get a couple of bags of chips. Oh, yes, they also have a vast array of chips and Coca Cola soda products to choose from. My son pointed out that this cheesesteak rivals and even beats any of the fancy, famous cheesesteak shops I've taken him to all around Philly. Totally true. I can name some of them, but then those shops might not like me anymore! Service is always quick and efficient. They serve a lot of folks on days with sporting events so if you're in a hurry, call ahead to place your order. There's no dining tables inside, but there's plenty of seats at the park right across the street.

Hype chasing works against places more often than not. That said I'd come here again. It's a pretty small place. Casual. Nothing too fancy. Tables are pretty close together. Our order started off with honey drizzled whipped ricotta on crostini. This was my favorite thing we had. I would order this every single time. Very tasty. Truffle fries were good, the right amount of truffle flavor. We split a chicken parm sandwich and a cheese steak. Both very good. Sauce on the parm has a sweet zing. The cheese steak was done in the modern style with the cooper sharp mixed in like a chopped cheese on a seeded roll. I find cheese steaks are either a 5 or a 7. Rarely do they stray outside the curve. This was most definitely on the 7 side. But the hype is a little over blown. What I wish we did was order a pizza. Every pie I saw looked fantastic.

It was superior to the parmigiana dinner platter, whose chicken was a bit dry due to being so thinly malleted and uncovered from lack of a fuller spoonful or two of red gravy. The Rigatoni was also in limited supply on the plate, but did hold the vodka blush well, which was pretty good.
