The manager quickly resolved the problem. Then the hostess who sat us kept putting everything in front of the baby and I had to keep moving everything. So glad when she left! The server team we had was great. Very friendly and on top of things. Our food was delicious and everything came out in a timely manner. Only thing that was wrong was the sauce was on my husband's food instead of on the side as he ordered it. Good thing he liked it after all! First time visiting the Mobile location and have to say it was a complete disappointment. Had Bang Bang shrimp, Calamari and the imperial dip as appetizers. Shrimp and Calamari were covered in a thick, salty breading that just absorbed all the oil from being fried. Ordered the Haddock as an entree. To my surprise, it had the same greasy breading the appetizers had. The service was below standard. Never took a drink order, dropped forks in lap, and gave us dirty utensils. She was also not familiar with the menu. Overall a bad experience. Especially when they charge above average for plates. I do not recommend this restaurant. read more

The overall atmosphere is nice and what you would expect from the Bonefish Grill chain. There are mainstays that won't let you down such as the Bang Bang Shrimp, but I like to try the specials to mix it up. Last night, choosing the orange roughy was definitely a great choice. I'm not entirely sure what the crust was made up of, but it was quite good and you got a healthy piece of fish. I did notice that my buddy ordered the steak and crab cake meal and the steak looked fairly small (it was cooked to his liking though). But then again, I'm not coming to a seafood restaurant to order steak. Prices can be a little higher here but you also are paying for a nicer atmosphere than say a Red Lobster. The main reason why I am giving this place 5 stars is due to the service. Our waiter Cody was very friendly and attentive. What really blew me away was how he recognized that the 3 of us were military. I'm not sure if the haircuts gave it away or he overheard a conversation, or he's just that good. Regardless, he thanked us for our service and told us how much he respected us (believe me, I don't expect that from anyone as I chose my profession). Then as we finished off dinner he provided us with a creme brulee on the house, thanking us again and wishing us safety in our work. I don't expect preferential treatment for being in the military, but it is nice to receive a random thank you (and I'm definitely not turning down dessert). This bonefish is located just next to the homestead suites so it was convenient walking distance if you are staying here. Monday is Martini Night and their martinis are on special for $5. I had the espresso and the lemon drop martini which were both great!! I sat at the bar and took the recommendations from the bar tender on drinks. I had the wagyu beef and ginger pot stickers which were ok and of course the bang bang shrimp which I always love. I showed up here on the night of the national championship and it wasn't packed at all. The food came out quickly and staff were friendly. Our server started out okay, but he disappeared throughout the meal and only checked on us once during passing. We would have ordered another drink and dessert, and we're generous tippers, but he didn't seem to care about us at all. I submitted an online order yesterday. The quoted curbside pick up time was 3:57pm. I checked at 4:07pm and was told to continue waiting in my truck in a designated curbside pick up spot, so I did. When the order was finally brought out 35 minutes late at 4:32pm, I was told it had just got done. I think it had actually been sitting around for a while. It wasn't cold, but it was barely warm. When I got home, I noticed we were missing the bread and malt vinegar (which is supposed to come with fish & chips unless you decline). Considering the prices, the inefficient curbside delivery / take out process, and missing items, I won't be ordering from them again. I had even given a prepaid 20% tip with the online order, so that was even more of a waste. read more

I like this place. It's got very good but not great food. I usually get the potstickers as an appetizer which have quite a bit of spice to them from the jalapeños in them (very good). I believe I ordered fish (I don't recall the exact one) and it was pretty good. Obviously not amazing or I'd had remembered more. I remembered the app more than the entree. It's located in the parking lot of Homewood Suites and TGI Fridays I believe. It is down the street from Providence Hospital also. On my recent visit here I had the bacon wrapped scallops which were on the small side but very good with the mango type spicy salad with it. The filet was well cooked and seasoned very well with the Gorgonzola butter. It wasn't a very thick filet but this isn't a steakhouse either. When I asked I was told by the waitress it's USDA choice and not a surprise there either but still tastes very good. read more

Took my wife here in January. Nice environment, cozy and dim lighting, which I like. The wait staff were friendly and helpful, no complaints there. The food was really tasty, I wouldn't say it was excellent but it was solid, very good. My wife had mahi-mahi which was delicious, the Singapore Calamari as a starter was also really tasty. I had a bowl of shrimp pad Thai, and it didn't taste like I'm used to; it was a little too tangy for my taste, but I think that is just a personal preference. I made a reservation for 7:15 PM on Valentines day. When we got there, we were told its a little bit of a wait which wouldn't have been a problem except for the fact it was an hour and thirty minutes later before we received the text saying our table was ready. Luckily, we left an hour and fifteen minutes into our wait when we were told by a couple leaving that they had been there since 5:45 and still had not received their food. I placed a reservation for this exact reason, I didn't want to wait nearly two hours to be seated. This was an upsetting night and I would not recommend this location. About two months before that mishap, I went to eat here on a Sunday after church with my sister and grandmother. We were one of three tables in the restaurant. The waitress took our drink order and 15 minutes later brought them out. This usually happens because my grandmother orders a decaf coffee which was not a problem except the coffee was cold and tasted of soap. We brought this to waitress' attention and she tried to explain why it tasted that way instead of just taking back the coffee and apologizing. She took our order but left the coffee. When our food came out 30 minutes later, my steak was extremely over cooked (I ordered a medium rare) and my grandmother still hadn't received a replacement coffee/water. I brought this to her attention again and I could tell she was getting annoyed with me. I asked for a new steak because I truthfully could not chew the steak and she brought back another steak cooked the same. My sister has worked at Bonefish and other nice restaurants so she was as confused as I was with the waitress' reactions. The whole reason of our trip to Bonefish was for dessert. We always get a dessert with our grandmother. After we had eaten our food and finished all our drinks, the waitress returned. She dropped the check off and walked away before we could even get a word out. We waited a few more minutes until another waiter came by our table so we were able to order through him. But, but, but... Wintzell's and Felix's are better many local yokels will cry. Nonsense. They're local, but there's nothing truly "fresh" about either restaurant. I sell seafood for a living - I know who uses what - and Bonefish uses superior quality fish seasoned and cooked to perfection. If you want cheap and salty, go to Chili's. We provided Bonefish with an interesting test last night. Eighteen people post church go out for supper. The time is about 7:30-8:00. The restaurant is full. This has all the makings for a disastrous experience. The server was "6 Large PA 6" (not sure what that means but that is what is on the bill). There were actually 2 servers and they get 5 stars. The food was excellent and this time they were not out of the rainbow trout. The non fish selections are interesting. The Lillie's chicken is consistently excellent and last night had these beef pot stickers which were also truly excellent. A nice touch was because we had a bit of a wait until the table could be set up (not very long) they provided the table with the appetizers (Bang Bang shrimp). They are really good and I normally do not like shrimp but this dish should be experiences. They actually deserve 5 stars but I have been told that I cannot give out too many of these. My only critique would be that if you have a large group do not come at prime times as this really stresses their system. Bonefish Grill is my happy place. I've visited locations in Sarasota-FL, Houston-TX, Poughkeepsie-NY and now Mobile-AL. A constant at all locations is not only the fresh seafood, it's also the service. Our server, Sean was extremely amenable and personable. He was training a new employee and made sure the newbie was giving a high level of service even though it was his first day on the floor. We originally came for Sunday brunch but ended up ordering entrees off their daily special menu. I ordered the "Georgia Peach Martini" which was good but switched to ole' faithful: Tito's, ice and lime. For starters, we split the Maryland Crab Cakes which is a must try at Bonefish. My entree of choice was "Kate's Wild North Atlantic Haddock" which was garlic dusted, wood grilled and topped with feta, artichokes and drizzled in a lemon basil butter sauce. It originally came with a side of haricot verts and garlic mashed potatoes but I substituted the haricot verts for broccoli. I noticed the chef left off my potatoes and I alerted Sean to the oversight. He said he would bring some out straight away but I declined since we had an afternoon flight to catch. We continued dining and drinking our cocktails when out of nowhere, Sean brings over a slice of cheesecake apologizing for the issue. He also mentioned he liked the way I handled the situation and didn't become irate over the missing potatoes. Did I mention the cheesecake was amazing? When Sean brought our bill, he once again apologized and gave us a voucher to come back and eat 2 entrees for the price of 1. Donovan C. and I weren't expecting this, as the cheesecake was an apology enough. Once again, Bonefish Grill has gone above and beyond to show they care and value their patrons. Most excellent. Wifey and I abandoned the kids and went out for a night for "us". Doesn't happen nearly as often as I would like. Had a great visit with the bar staff. Good guys/gals . As we were finishing our main course, the Chef came by to check our service and opinions. The gentleman was gracious and accepted our criticisms with honor and class.. Its not often that we are treated with such respect at any restaurant. (We're Auburn fans) Most are only handing out glad-handed shakes and poor excuses. Not so at this restaurant. Try the Macadamia Nut Brownie for desert...excellent! Okay, we'll go back a few times more to see if they will make mistakes. I'm not betting against them though. read more

My husband and I eat out 7 nights a week. We tried this place when it opened years ago and were not impressed. Decided to try it again and don't think we will ever go back. I don't eat seafood so my choices were very very limited. I Ordered my filet medium and came out well. So well done that the server noticed. He did ask me if I wanted to send it back but I declined since I had just seen the show about what might happen to your food if you send something back. Yikes!
