5 stars is rare for me to give, in this case it was earned. A fantastic visit, we had a reservation for 6pm on a Monday, and we were seated right away. The restaurant was maybe 50% full and fairly quiet. Our waitress Cdny, was awesome, first class service throughout our meal. We started with boom boom shrimp as an appetizer that was tasty as always at Bonefish grill. Next we both ordered the sea bass, hers with lemon caper butter and I had mine with chimichurri, cooked very well as were the sides. We both loved our fish. We finished up with a slice of key lime pie, a little tart, great flavor. This was not only great service, but also a great tasting meal. read more

Decided upon Bonefish for Valentine day dinner. All was very good except for some notable standouts. Drinks were good and tasty. Food was cold. Especially my wife's grilled shrimp. Which made me wonder how long it had been waiting under the warming lamp in the kitchen. It was Valentine day so my wife did not want to complain. After using tap to pay for our meal, our waitress Avery or Ava came back and put the receipt on the table and with a very dismissive tone said thanks for coming to bonefish. Turn and walked away. The once bubbly server morphed into this rude Person that was obviously ready for us to leave. I don't think she liked my tip is all I can say. I didn't select 18%. It was not worth 18% The dining experience was worth a $12 tip in my opinion. Boy did her attitude change. Relax girl. Put on the same front you did at the beginning of the meal. Tried the family bundle again. 1) Gave me moldy bread (see picture). 2) Didn't include the lime sour cream (or lettuce) and gave me the cilantro cream/sauce - which I had to ask for (it wasn't packed). Can say with confidence that this is the last time that I'm going to this location. We were in town for a graduation party and decided on here afterwards, I hadn't had it in so long so I didn't remember what my experience was but I knew it wasn't one of my faves (hence the reason I haven't been back). They sat us by the restrooms which is always going to be an issue for me when I visit a predominantly white establishment. I sat down and took a look around and YEP it was us in the back and them closer to the front, OPTICS! Moving on to the food, we got the imperial dip which was oily cheese (which is the indicator of cheap cheese) and diced up unseasoned shrimp. The chips were warm and delicious tho. We also got the southwest chicken egg rolls, they were a bit soggy and again too much cheap cheese so all I got was a bland oily soggy bite and was done. For my entree I got the shrimp diablo which is NORMALLY kind of spicy and flavorful but not theirs. It had broccoli in it which I think was to make the dish look full. It was a reminder as to why I'd only been once and never wanted to go again. Will I EVER want to return to any of their establishments? NOT! read more

Bonefish is a place I've been to a couple of times when visiting Alabama. It has yet to disappoint. The menu is quite a large, which can be a little offputting at first, but they seem to do most things well. The bang bang shrimp is a must try, and so are the brussels sprouts. When they ask you if you want the complementary bread always say yes. I was a bit disappointed with the fish and chips, however. There seem to be more breading than fish. Service is always great, they are courteous and quick to bring out piping hot food with a smile. Depending on when you go, the restaurant is either very busy or empty. The ambience is relaxed, calm and casual. It is good for groups which means they can get a little loud. They also have plenty of parking in their lot. read more

Service was fine. The problem was the kitchen. We both ordered fish specials and my husbands did not taste good. He then ordered a steak, medium rare. He cut off an end piece that was extremely rare. We can only speculate how raw the middle would have been. My fish (special snapper) was ok, but hard on some of the edges. This was by far the most disappointing meal there. i got the salmon with jasmine rice, and fries. i don't feel i can give it a fair assessment as i got it through delivery and it was a while before it was picked up due to circumstances on my end. so the fries where soggy and the salmon and rice was dry. forgot to photo it. however i also got almost every dessert. hehe. i kid you not the chocolate chip cookies are like a warm hug from a grandmother as they are the perfect softness and perfect amount of chocolate chips. the brownies are fudgy goodness. the coconut pie was too dense for me and i'm sober so i don't like the sauce. bad order selection on my part. read more

We came down to Mobile to visit family for a while and our first night here we had dinner at Bonefish. We came early and stayed late. There were four of us and we started at the bar for drinks. Our bartender was fantastic. She made the perfect dry Martini. After a couple of drinks and the service was so good, we decided to stay in the bar area at a communal table. The food was pretty mediocre very rushed. The service was awful for that particular day, but I suspect it was the evening of Mother's Day and everybody was out and about so they might have been a little bit overwhelmed. I ordered the halibut and it was OK, but it was clearly overcooked, and it was very indicative of the evening being so busy that even the kitchen appeared overwhelmed. I'll start with compliments. The staff was friendly and well dressed, they tried their best to keep people comfortable. The food is wayyyy over priced for what you're getting. My salmon was over cooked and not flavorful. The sides were microscopic. One of our dinner guests couldn't eat anything on the menu so they assembled stuff using the sides, instead of getting a medley vegetable side he got a few green beans. Another guest wanted a medium rare burger with no pickles, it came over cooked and with pickles. Completely incompetent, won't ever go back. It had been warmed in microwave. The fish looked like a square piece of frozen fish. Presentation was a zero. A large white plate with a square fish and garlic potato's. Im a big fan of all the Bloomin Brand restaurants, in particular Bonefish and Flemings. However, I bought my brother a gift card for Bonefish for his birthday. It was meant to be a memorable experience. But it wasnt. He went to the Mobile location, they seated by the rest room, and the customer service was horrible, didnt refill their bread, etc. Just lazy bad customer service. So I contacted both Bloomin Brands Corporate and the local partner at this establishment. Not even the courtesy of a response. Ill take my business elsewhere to a Darden restaurant in the future. read more
