This review is for Saturday night 9/16/23. The ONLY item on their menu that I like, because it's reliably GOOD, was the Fontina Pork Chop. That's been replaced by the Fontina Pork Loin. Pork Loin is hard to cook, and if you don't get it right, which of course they don't, comes out DRY. Bring back the PORK CHOP please!!! I had the signature pasta. The pasta was overcooked and the cream sauce was spicy but outside of that had no flavor. Either bring back the Pork Chop or get a new CHEF. read more

As someone who does not like seafood , Bonefish grill is a place I can go to where my husband, who loves anything out of the ocean ,can go to. The appetizers were very good . The filet was above expectations. My husband loved his fish and we both left happy . The cost was on the pricy side but well worth it . Bonefish Grill is always a good place to go for seafood and happy hour - and if you can get the seafood hh specials- even better! They have cocktail, beer and wine for hh too. The meals served are a good portion and the apps are nice to share. Try the guacamole, sliders and shrimp apps. The seafood risotto and kale salad with salmon is good too. Okay... let me start by saying this was one of our favorite go to seafood places. No issues whatsoever with the food... it was very good tonight and has been in the past. Always love the cocktails here, as well. Here's the issue both tonight AND the last time we visited in the early Spring...FRUIT Flies... it's a real problem and just plain gross. My husband killed 3 at our table and I took a video of a huge one on the bread plate. Just ewww! He even took to covering his wine with a plate. We did alert our server and recommended he tell the manager there ARE ways to get rid of them by flushing the drains on a regular basis. Hoping they listen and do something about it. Unfortunately, I just don't think we will be back. There are too many other choices around plus we were really disappointed the manager couldn't even be bothered to come over and apologize even though the restaurant was almost empty tonight. :( read more

Bonefish.12-29-2020: We went here last night and we were sat next to the front door which was extremely frigid at table #105. Even though our server, the bartender was nice she could not keep up since she had 5 tables which were NOT ONLY IN THE BAR BUT ALSO IN THE OTHER DINING AREA. THE MOST Disgusting part of our dinner was that we were swarmed with KNATS which comes from neglecting to clean the drains in the bar area where we were sat! We won't be back. The Managing partner never called me back today so I'm guessing he doesn't really care about our horrific dining experience last night. We obviously will never return there again!!! read more

Had our office Party there. Group of 8. Such fun. Food was fantastic! And quick to the table. Waitress was nice, clearly busy, it was Saturday night. To management who weren't paying attention as every staff person in that room left for the night and there were at least 5 other tables of 4 or so. It took forever to clear our table and get dessert and coffee ordered and another long wait for its delivery. As she's serving coffee finally a couple other people come to help her. Either she doesn't feel she can ask for help, she was new (no sin there) or management wasn't watching the last table in the Resturant, not the bar. The latter being my guess. But we'd do it again. I'm on the fence between 4 stars and 3 1/2. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but the food here, from the bread/ dipping sauce, to apps, dinner and dessert- everything was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and I really enjoyed dining here. Only downside- the server wasn't attentive enough on clearing dishes. By dessert, there were still dishes from the apps sitting on the table and other dirty dishes. And yes, it really did bother me, but my family was celebrating a good time and the food surpassed my expectations. Appetizers: Bang bang shrimp, ceviche Dinner: mine was the Fontina Chop. We went last Friday and had a great time! The dining room seemed a bit crowded as if there were more tables than there were supposed to be. The food and drinks came out quickly and were delicious. We had winter white cosmos, margaritas, bang bang shrimp, kung pao brussels sprouts, crab cakes, chicken, and mashed potatoes. I'd recommend everything we got! The bar is high for Bonefish considering their prices. We dine here about once every two months. It is our lavish night out. But, we had probably the worst meal there. Our go to appetizer "Bang Bang Shrimp" came out chewy. The mgr replaced it and was better. He blamed the new fryer. At $14 now, that is about $1 for each small shrimp. The corn chowder came out warm and too much cream. The Friday night special cod topped with crab was good but very small portion. For $28, I expected more. Side dish of cole slaw was OK, but tasted like it came out of a bag and not from a premium restaurant. It was not full so rushing to get out orders could not have been an excuse. Staff was excellent as usual and responsive to our concerns. At their current pricing vs value, will probably find another "lavish" night out. read more

I was introduced to the Bonefish Grill at a Yelp Elite event shortly after I moved to NJ. It was such an amazing intro to all the food they had to offer and I kept remembering how great their burger sliders were. After a long week, we stopped here on a Friday night after work. The restaurant was full, so we sat on the bar for faster service. We opted for the $55 dinner special to split between the two of us. Now I know everyone loves the Bang Bang Shrimp and I like it too, but it's the mayonessy creamy sauce just isn't my thing. I do love the crispiness of the shrimp though! For my main dish, I ordered the salmon with the French beans and rice as my sides. OMG. So so good. I loved the crispy charred outside of the salmon with the still tender meat. Mmmm. The only downside? Our bar tender was quite attentive at first, but by the end of the night as he got busier, he forgot about us and we had flag him down to get coffee and creme brulee dessert and once again, for our bill. read more

I went here yesterday and today i have food poisoning. The service was a little late but they were kind. And the ambiance wasn't bad it was dim but enough to see my food and good lighting for pictures of food or yourself. Our meal started off really strong, but it went downhill with each additional course. The bang bang shrimp is a must have. I'm never unhappy with it, although this time I felt like it had a little bit too much sauce which caused it to get a bit soggy. The bread that they bring to the table is warm and yummy with a delicious pesto oil to dip into. We also got one of the seasonal apps, which was a lobster corn fritter. That was really good as well, but probably not around much of the year. This is when things went south. I ordered the corn chowder with crab meat. The soup didn't resemble any of the description. It had a strange flavor and between two of us we couldn't finish a cup of it because we disliked the flavor so much. It was also hardly luke warm. For the other part of my meal I ordered the mussels. Yet again, I don't feel that the description was accurate. The mussels came in a white sauce, which I was not expecting. It had large chunks of tomato and huge pieces of basically raw red onion. Not something you want to eat. The flavor was erring on sweet, and though the mussels themselves tasted fine, there seemed to be a lot of grittiness suggesting they weren't cleaned properly. Very slow at the restaurant compared to its usual dinner traffic. We got seated right away and our server was very friendly and greeted us with a warm welcome. Food came promptly~ but the bread was as hard as a rock... We sent it back and when the new one came out, it was warmer n steamier, but still harder that any freshly baked bread... Well I guess that can be overlooked since it's only bread~ Entrees were very good. Portions looked smaller possibly because it was lunch... anyway, my Caesar salad was yummy! i really appreciate a freshly cut salad :) you can definitely tell the difference between that and saladwork's lol overall, it was a very relaxing brunch just like how any brunch should be~ though they had flaws, i really enjoyed my lazy sunday meal at Bonefish. i absolutely agree with some of the other diners and that they need to step up their game. it does seem like their quality has been declining recently, which is very disappointing. just an fyi~ right now they're having the holiday promos on gift cards-- purchase of $100, you get a bonus $20 to use in the month of january and feb 2015. so at least i will be returning with in the next 2 months lolol please don't let the food get any worse lol or else i will have to resort to selling my giftcards on raise.. lol read more

I went to Bonefish for my boyfriends birthday. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and it came out RAW and was served to us within five minutes of ordering! Not only that but the broccoli was hard and tasted stale in my opinion. My stomach hurt for days and there was barely any concern from the manager. In fact, he seemed to be irritated with the fact I was dissatisfied. Usually I have great experiences at Bonefish and honestly I am super disappointed. I also made a reservation a week in advance however, we were sat next to the door and it was very cold outside. So not only did we have to deal with the draft from outside, both our fish were raw in the center and my boyfriend did not realize until he ate most of it. We were not offered anything by the restaurant and I ended up having to pay for his food even though they served me a raw fish. I will probably go to a different location but never again to the Marlton location. read more

We ordered out from Bonefish in Marlton on 3/8/22. We ordered a steak and some sides along with a kids chicken fingers that is supposed to come with fries and a drink. When the order arrived we realized that there were no fries or drink with the chicken fingers. We called to get a refund for the chicken fingers and was told by the manager that they cannot do refunds for takeout orders but very graciously offered to compensate with gift cards. He asked for our address and said they would send them out. It's been 3 weeks and we still haven't received them. We planned to give them another chance since they were so nice to rectify the situation but since we have not received them we do not plan on going back. read more

I have only been to this Bonefish location, I hope the others are similar. The space doesn't feel as huge as Magianos, Bahama Breeze, etc. It feels more intimate. I don't go that often, mainly because they are always busy, but whenever I have been to Bonefish the service has been excellent. Bonefish also has a smaller menu then the other chain/box restaurants. This is how they keep their quality high and get the food out pretty quickly. The serving sizes are just right for me too. All the seafood dishes we have had there have been very good. Bonefish does not give you a plate full of starches with their proteins. The beer and wine selection is also good. Bonefish does take reservations which is a good idea to make. Bonefish also has happy hour specials. Bonefish is at the top of the list for chain restaurants, especially because it does not feel like one. read more

I recently had dinner here with my family. My first mistake was not reading the recent Yelp reviews on this place. Ordered the Mahi Mahi. The fish serving portion was about 4" squared and way over cooked. Since Covid hit, I try to give restaurants some leeway and did not complain about the fish. We tried to use a couple of gift cards toward the bill. The waitress was not that bright and could not get them to ring up correctly. (Cracker Barrel has no problem taking these gift cards) We asked if if we could speak to the manager. The waitress left and came back. She said the manager would not speak to us. I have never been to any restaurant where a manager would not speak to you. Needless to say we will never go back to this restaurant. read more

Surprisingly good for a chain. My husband and I had date night and decided to come here because we were both craving some sort of seafood. On a pretty busy Thursday night, we were seated almost immediately and were given HOT, fresh bread with chimichurri sauce. I absolutely love fresh bread, even though I'm not a huge fan of bread, and the chimichurri sauce was a wonderful accompaniment. Their iced tea is pretty good too (I know, this sounds weird, but I've had some bad iced tea). We started off with the bang bang shrimp, which was SO GOOD. I think I could have eaten another plate of these with rice and be perfectly content. Totally going to come here on a Wednesday and get this for $5! Our entrees came out after some time (it took a little while, but we didn't really notice because we were deep in conversation, plus the place was packed). I ordered the imperial longfin, and my husband had one of the specials of drunken monkfish. For sides we had the potatoes au gratin and garlic mashed potatoes. The au gratin was good but the mashed potatoes had WAAAAAY too much butter in them! I like my potatoes buttery and all, but hot damn, this was overkill. The fish was good, very flavorful and just the right portion size. We walked out of there not overly stuffed (though I think if we had dessert we would have gone over the line). Food was good. Service was great, even though it was full (very attentive-- I was about to flag down our waiter for another iced tea and he came out of nowhere with drinks for both of us). We'll be back. read more

Maybe because there is a dearth of fancier restaurants in the area, but this place always seems to be crowded. We've eaten here a few times and while always had an OK time, it was just that, OK. One nice option, though, is that you can always look next door at Flemings to see if that is a little less crowded. Service is usually one of the high points, friendly and nice. Their specialty drinks are good, some of the food are winners, but other times you strike out. For example, got the fish and chips recently and while taste was good, they were pretty greasy. Regular grilled fish with sauce, though, was quite good. Jasmine rice is pretty good too. One nice point is that if the bar is crowded and there is a long wait for a table, you can sit at one of the tabletops in the bar area without waiting if it is available. A little cramped if bar is crowded, but still better than standing. read more

First time ever visit to a Bonefish Grill. Outdoor seating due to Covid 19. About 24 tables spaced well apart from each other. I could have sworn there were 9-12 people serving all tables which were mostly full. Food and drinks including appetizers delivered in a very reasonable time. Service throughout the dinner was excellent. They didn't miss a trick. Never had too try and get the waitress's attention because she was spot on After dinner I went to the manager to show my appreciation for the great experience. Food was delicious but the service was outstanding. I was very surprised that the total crew including the manager numbered only six. I could have sworn there were more because of all the activity. Fresh! Fresh! FRESH!!!!!! Oh the food is so fresh! I came her for brunch with my mom - I am vegan, she is not. The accommodated my food preferences beautifully! I had seasonal vegetables as an appetizer while my mother had the corn and lump crab chowder soup. I asked if there was butter or oil on the veg as I am highly allergic to dairy. Our mixologist said yes, but the chef would prepare something for me without the butter.......DELICIOUS! My mother loved her soup, she was raving about it...but this review is about ME! So entrees... my mother had the shrimp tacos, I had the Bonefish signature salad....NO CHEESE! Omg.....Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! I had them put the dressing on the side, but I ended up not even touching it. My salad was beautiful! Colorful, vibrant, alive, vibrating and FRESH! It was so delicious! So good! It had like half a pound of pine nuts and you guys know those are expensive!!! My salad was so good, no dressing necessary! Let me get to the most important thing here, the bar! They have a beautiful bar. So many possibilities and so many options! I had the contemporary Cosmo.....ok, I had 2. My mom had the Moscow Mule. Yum! Just Yum! If I didn't have to drive home, I would have had 5 more. For dessert my mom love their coconut cream pie, I had the espresso martini! Everything was so good! Door dash is not cheap and this basically ruined my meal. I don't understand why somebody would just decide to put the sauce on the side on their own. read more
