I had an amazing dining experience at Bonefish Grill on Aug 1 and Aug 2. This was one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Willingboro, NJ several years ago. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and I was in town to attend an event. My 5 star rating is for the Bonefish Grill manager, Vince. Since I have a background as a Training and Development professional and I teach classes in Customer Service, I pay attention to the customer service I receive (or not) when I dine at a restaurant. Vince demonstrated he is an attentive and hands on manager. He frequently brought food to the customers and was visible during my meal. On August 1 I ordered the Brussel Sprouts Salad which was delicious and I shared with him the sliced Brussel Sprouts on the top of the salad were hard to chew, so I picked them out. When I came back for dinner on August 2 and ordered the Brussel Sprouts Salad, he had addressed the prep of the Brussel Sprouts and they were much easier to chew. Wow! Vince also noticed my food server had not brought my glass of wine by the time my food arrived, so he got it and brought it to me. Unbelievable! I had a better dining experience because of the manager Vince's attention to detail to all of the operational aspects in his restaurant. He should be commended for a job well done! read more

This was our first time at a Bonefish grill. We waited a while for waitstaff to acknowledge us and bring drinks. We ordered two appetizers the bang bang shrimp and the chargrilled oysters. I feel they should have peeled the oyster off the shell before cooking it because it was stuck on. For our entrees we got salmon and mahi mahi with shrimp. My new potatoes had absolutely no seasoning and did not come with butter or anything. The mahi mahi was over cooked and a little hard not to mention small. Both portions were small. Terrible experience! I've been to this location dozens of times... but never again! Ordered curbside, which wasn't delivered. Hostess inside was rude, vulgar and belligerent. Manager was incompetent and wasted my time. Bad employees make for bad business, especially in the customer service industry. And then answered by a bot (see below). I have been to this restaurant more than a dozen times as I love fish and a nice drink. Today was the last day that I will every go to this restaurant. I ordered rainbow trout as I always do and only ate a third of the dish and found 6 bones. I never found bones in the dish prior. I told the waiter who said nothing. I cook rainbow trout at home and have never found bones in the fish. A restaurant should not serve fish with bones and at least apologize to a customer if it does happen. read more

Loved the new additions to the social hour menu. The bang bang chicken was a great add on. Although I am a shrimp lover my friend is not so the chicken was a great was to get the delicious sauce on a protein we would both it. The cauliflower was amazing - crispy and fully of flavor. And of course you can't go wrong with sliders Overall a great combination. We had wonderful service in a great atmosphere. My husband and I had a delightful lunch at Bonefish Grill. Because it wasn't real crowded, we had our choice of seating. We sat at a cozy booth and our waitress immediately came over to take our beverage order. My husband got a freshly brewed iced tea. We both ordered the taco lunch special. It came with a nice garden salad with a light Italian dressing. The highlight of the special was two tacos and fries. I got one bang bang shrimp taco and one blackened cod taco. Both were simply delicious! The special was $13.99; a steal for that amount of money. Bonefish will definitely be at the top of our list for lunch. read more

We tend to shy away from chain restaurants, but we had a gift certificate for Bonefish (that we kept forgetting about). We felt like going out on a balmy Fall Thursday evening and we decided to head on over. Happy Hour is HOPPING here. We were fortunate to land two bar seats, as the entire bar area was quite crowded. Bonefish offers nice cocktail and food specials, so the busyness is understandable. We ordered margaritas (happy hour special), the Kung Pow Brussels Sprouts, the Bacon Mac and Cheese, one Barramundi special and one Black Cod special. I must say, we were impressed! Dishes arrived quickly and everything was fresh and flavorful. We were so entrenched in our meals that we didn't realize that by 7:30 PM, we were the only ones sitting at the bar! Hence, the bar area is quite a happy hour spot. They have a wide array of wines and liquors, including Blanton's (difficult to find of late). Our bartender was Jeannie, and she was a doll. I have been to the Bonefish in Northern Virginia many times and have always loved their bang bang shrimp. We went to the Marlton location and the shrimp was as good as usual! They stated us off with bread and pesto. The bread was warm and came right out of the oven. The pesto was pretty salty, but had good flavor. We really enjoyed the bang bang shrimp and potstickers! We sat up at the bar since we were only getting drinks and appetizers. The bartender was friendly and the service was extremely quick! We will go back again soon! read more

Wow. What a surprise. I was worried that this was just another chain restaurant that would fall just short in every way; adequate, but disappointing overall. We went on a Sunday night and were greeted warmly by the the hostess and got a table right away. Our waitron was quick to appear and was delighted that it was our first time there. She pointed out why we made a good choice --- fish delivered fresh every day and approved by the manager or it was returned to the vendor. She started us with, again, surprisingly good --- and I am a bread snob --- ciabatta bread and very good oil and pesto to dip it in. The reason I gave the place only four stars were two of the recommended cocktails, a smoked Manhattan and a French 75. Both were just fair. I've had a lot better elsewhere, but I bet if you'd stick to simple, classic cocktails, you'd be pleased. I will try that strategy myself next time that we go. Entrees are smallish, but do you want something that's all-tasty, or a generous pile of crap? So I had the grilled shrimp diablo; spicy, but well made with just slightly overcooked pasta, more than enough to satisfy me. She had the grilled mahi mahi with mango ...chutney(?), jasmine rice and broccoli. I tried it --- very, very good. The wine list is adequate; we both liked our choices, Duckhorn sauvignon blanc, for the mahi and Chandon sparkling rosé, which went particularly well with the spicy shrimp. Sorry, we didn't have dessert. Service was quick and very friendly, and the food arrived hot and was quite good. The decor is tastefully well done and the music they play is unobtrusive. Yes. Good place for dinner. It typically has a great selecting of fish options. Wine selection is decent and so is the bar. Bang bang shrimp is always a great starter. The restaurant does offer greasy loaf of bread upon request. The dinning room and the bar area is big. I never had a problem getting a table. read more

Went to bone fish grill today with my wife had Mahi Mahi and Bang Bang shrimp as a appetizer started out good but after a couple of them more it became to salty . I had the Mahi Mahi it was very dry and lacked flavor even after adding salt and pepper. The customer service was lackluster the waiter seemed clueless I don't know if he was new or had to many tables. I restaurant was clean and the tables were clean. As well. The manager, Alex, was great as always, but this overall visit wasn't good at all. We've had better visits and have left better reviews for those visits; it's really unfortunate the service and food aren't consistent. The parking was decent and the restaurant wasn't busy. We had our choice of a table or booth and picked a booth. They tend to sit us at the very back of the restaurant which is interesting, to say the least. We didn't receive the complimentary bread and had to wait 20 minutes after asking to receive it. We were served stale bread. The fries were cold so our server offered to replace them and did much better on the second attempt. The bang bang shrimp wasn't hot or breaded well. We ordered bang bang shrimp to go for our family, and even that was hotter than what was served during our meal. The burger was good and the drinks were great. It was hard to get a refill for water, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Waiter totally lacked consistency. Was great initially but once food was delivered, he forgot about us. I asked for crushed pepper , he said "right back". Should have brought a pillow. When he came back after the meal( he never brought the pepper btw), he dropped the bill on table. Maybe we wanted coffee and dessert. He never asked. Tips are based on service and a % of the bill. You make more money on higher bills as well as attentiveness. Now I'm not cheap and always leave 20% at least. He's lucky I understand how how wait people work so unless you really suck, you get 20. The entree he recommended left me on the can for awhile. Very oily. Garlic mashed potatoes were decent. Broccoli was good. My salmon was burnt. When I asked about the cooking method I was told it was the seasoning. The wait person was not friendly, was short with her words and incorrect with her menu descriptions. The dining room was crowded with too many tables. Regarding the other meals, only one at the table was good all the way around. The fries with crab and bang bandy sauce was hideous! TL;DR: We ended up walking out before we even ordered our food. Right from the outset, the hostess was flustered. She asked us to wait, and then for the next few minutes, she made it quite clear that things were a mess. We probably should have taken the hint and bailed right then, but we figured maybe she was just having a bad day (despite what you might think from this review, we're very understanding--people can't always be at their best). We finally got seated, and there are just too many tables crammed into this space--they really need to remove a couple of them. We actually stood up to give the people behind us an easy way out when they finished their meal (they were complaining about their experience, too, which I suppose was our second hint to get out). But the real show started when our server showed up. He came to the table and started arranging some things, but he didn't say a word--it was super weird. My spouse finally started the conversation, and it was clear he was also having a bad day. He took our drink order--and weirdly wiped my bread plate off with his towel--and then walked away. I had ordered a drink with rye whiskey, and when he came back, he placed half a drink in front of me and said in an utterly miserable tone, "This won't be charged--we actually ran out of rye. Worst night ever." And then he just...walked away.¸ At that point, we were done with this place. We left some cash on the table for my spouse's drink and went to another restaurant, which turned out to be a great call. Stopped in for a drink and a couple shareable appetizers on Saturday night. The cosmos were too sweet (they use simple syrup instead of lime juice). Beer selection isn't bad. I had a Purple Monkey Dishwasher (chocolate peanut butter porter from evil genius) and it was fantastic. Also had seared ahi tuna which was fresh and quality was great! 3/16 was our first time at Bonefish and our last time. We always wanted to try this place. I received a gift card for my birthday and figured we would try it out. My wife and I ordered the same dinner, the filet mignon and lobster tail. My dinner plate had the filet mignon. My wife's dinner plate had a sirloin steak. We confirmed with our waiter that we both ordered the filet mignon and lobster tail. He confirmed the order and did noticed the difference with the two steaks. He sent the manager over to talk. I explained that my wife's steak was and tasted like a sirloin. It looked nothing like a filet mignon. The manager didn't seem to noticed the difference, but ordered a replacement steak for my wife. Needless to say I did not eat my steak while we waited for my wife's replacement. When her replacement steak was brought to our table, it was another sirloin. The employee who brought the replacement out insisted it was a filet mignon. I showed her that the two steaks did not look a like nor do they cut the same. She did not agree. At this point we were so frustrated, I asked for the check. We took my filet mignon home and left the two sirloins at the restaurant. The waiter was very apologetic and also noticed the difference with the two steaks. The cut, thickness, size and taste were all different. The check came out to $111.85. My gift card was for $150.00. Ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi On Dec 20th 2025 in Marlton NJ.I was expecting real shrimp and scallops like 3-4 large shrimp and the same for scallops. What I received was a plate with about 20 mini shrimp the kind you get at shoprite for $4.99 a bag. Also received about 20 scallops which were under the size of a dime. You expect for a $28.95 dish you would get real shrimp and scallops, not leftovers from the Delaware river. On top of that it was so salty I couldn't enjoy it Let alone finish it. I would expect a restaurant called bonefish grill would specialize in seafood entrees. So disappointed, and then the bread--- the bread was great, but for dipping they used canola oil mixed with maybe a drop of olive, we asked for just olive oil and they said they don't have olive oil, they only carry the mixture with canola, what restaurant doesn't have olive oil. The waitress was not very friendly, pushed desserts while we were still eating, seemed she did not want to be there. This place is maybe in the same league as Olive Garden, at least they have Olive Oil. Disappointing meal, less than 4 oz of with 2.0 oz of crab meat, $1 worth of unflavored rice and dry / solid mash potatoes brick on the side and price gouged for $28. Well it was memorable. Really should have been more gracious of a host and prepared a generous portion of the rather inexpensive fish. Hospitality is more than 50% of the experience, so for them it was a fail. Solid seafood chain. The service is nice, quick and friendly. For appetizers, we got the tempura sashimi and the crab cakes. They were delicious. For entrees, we got the mahi mahi and shrimp perfect pairings with asparagus and mashed potatoes. All the sauces that came with it were really good too. COVID19 Quarantine Review (Pick Up) Bonefish Grill has been running lots of "Family Bundle" specials. On Thursday we put in an order for a Friday 5 PM pick up. While taking the order, they ask for the car you'll be picking up in so they can bring the food directly to you for a no contact drop off. We ordered the Grilled Salmon family bundle which included salmon, your choice of sauce, your choice of a side, salad, bread and cookies. We opted for the mango salsa and mashed potatoes. The mango salsa was delicious, and totally made the salmon. The mashed potatoes were also great, super creamy. Personally I can't eat Bonefish without bang bang shrimp, so we added two orders of those. The shrimp was served with the sauce on the side (which is how I prefer it). The food was plentiful and easily fed 4 adults and a child - with some left overs! This was a totally affordable option for "take out." I never experienced such a rude hostess in my life, especially at a nicer restaurant like bonefish. I'm a Vietnam vet with disabilities and I asked before making reservations if I could have a booth instead of a chair and tables. This review is for Saturday night 9/16/23. The ONLY item on their menu that I like, because it's reliably GOOD, was the Fontina Pork Chop. That's been replaced by the Fontina Pork Loin. Pork Loin is hard to cook, and if you don't get it right, which of course they don't, comes out DRY. Bring back the PORK CHOP please!!! I had the signature pasta. The pasta was overcooked and the cream sauce was spicy but outside of that had no flavor. Either bring back the Pork Chop or get a new CHEF. read more

As someone who does not like seafood , Bonefish grill is a place I can go to where my husband, who loves anything out of the ocean ,can go to. The appetizers were very good . The filet was above expectations. My husband loved his fish and we both left happy . The cost was on the pricy side but well worth it . The service was good , however the waitress had too many tables to be focused hence the 4 stars but we would definitely visit again for a special occasion -- for a chain restaurant they are top notch read more
