We had an absolutely incredible experience at Eddie V's Prime Seafood last night, one we'll remember for a long time--especially since we were celebrating my 13-year-old son's birthday. Rachel, our server, was truly exceptional. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, warm, and incredibly thoughtful--especially with my son. When the power unexpectedly went out at the Cherry Hill Mall due to the windstorm, Rachel and the staff turned what could have been a disruption into something special. She brought us extra bread and surprised us with a champagne toast for the adults and carbonated apple juice for my son, which made him feel incredibly celebrated. The food was outstanding. The bone-in, dry-aged New York strip may have been one of the most tender, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned steaks I've ever had. Every side was just as impressive--the truffle mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and crab fried rice were all absolutely delicious. Dessert was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Beyond Rachel, the entire team deserves recognition. The general managers were actively walking the floor, checking in on guests, and the bus staff was attentive and professional. The coordination, hospitality, and genuine care shown by everyone made the evening feel special despite the circumstances. This was hospitality at its best. Eddie V's Prime Seafood is a great spot that easily carries you from happy hour into a full dinner. We stopped in initially for happy hour and ended up staying through the evening. From the outside, Eddie V's already gives off a polished, upscale feel, and once inside, the jazz playing softly in the background immediately set the tone. We grabbed seats at the bar, which I highly recommend. Pro tip: arrive early if you want bar seating, the bartenders are extremely friendly, genuinely engaging, and it is fun to watch them craft the drinks. We took full advantage of the happy hour menu with a dozen oysters, Wagyu beef sliders, a dirty martini, and a glass of Caymus. The happy hour pricing is a solid deal and the food quality was excellent. Another couple joined us, so we moved to a table and continued into dinner. Appetizers included a Caesar salad, burrata and beet salad, and lobster bisque. The burrata and beet salad was bright, fresh, and zesty and really stood out. The lobster bisque was the one miss of the night, served lukewarm with only a small piece of lobster. For mains, we ordered the Chilean sea bass prepared Chinese-style and the A5 Wagyu dumplings. The sea bass was exceptional, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. The wine list is phenomenal with great options by the glass and bottle, and the cocktail program is clearly handled by skilled professionals. This is also a great choice for a romantic night out. The space is dimly lit with unique lighting elements, paired with live jazz that creates a relaxed, intimate atmosphere without feeling stuffy. Just came home from perhaps the best meal I've ever eaten. The service was impeccable, food was absolutely delicious and overall a fabulous experience. From the valet, to the doorman, to the hostess, to our amazing waiter, Nick, to the manager...we couldn't have asked for more attentive service. We don't often go to fancy restaurants like this, but we treated ourselves to special night out to celebrate my man's belated birthday and good news after several months of health worries. We dined at this establishment for my birthday with reservations a week in advance for our party of 5 and even then, the reservations were limited and booked, so that was a great indication of what was to come. We arrived on time to a very intimate, classic cloth table dining establishment and we were seated quickly at one of their larger tables. We interacted with friendly staff. I love seafood so I was pleased with the options offered and went with the crab stuffed shrimp. The table also shared the crab rice, mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, and I believe a mashed potatoes of some sort. I was happy with my meal. Before we got our food though, there was a safety issue that was initially mishandled but the manager walked over and rectified the situation, my rating would have been significantly different if the manager did not step in but again, they were able to rectify. read more

ecently visited Eddie V's in Cherry Hill for a special dinner and had a mixed experience. The service was noticeably slow, which was a bit disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber. It took a while to get our drinks and even longer for our food to arrive, which made the evening feel a little dragged out. We were there for a total of 3 hours. That said, once the food did arrive, it was fantastic. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in the area. The mac and cheese was also a standout; rich, creamy, and the ultimate comfort food done right. While the pace of service could definitely use improvement, the quality of the food made up for it. So first of all I want to say that rating steakhouses absent "rules" is very difficult. The steakhouse setup is pretty formulaic, you pay extraordinary prices for fawning service in which the waiter attempts to inflate your tab as large of possible, all in the guise of fawning service. "Would you like a sauce with that?" Yes? That is a $20 upcharge! Would you like the menu 'special'? Oops, you didn't see how expensive that was and I didn't mention it. I also don't think I can compare steakhouses to, say, diners. Different rules. So I will consider Eddie V relative to other comparable restos like Capital Grille, which is just a few feet away. So pluses of Eddie V relative to Capital: more extensive seafood menu, live music well isolated so that if you want to sit in quiet you can. Minuses: VERY difficult to read wine menu not well organized. I wanted to know which wines I could get by the glass and at Capital its easy there is a special section. My waiter was extremely green, that was the luck of the draw. Au poivre? "I don't know what that is". Brandy? "We don't have that". Pluses and minuses not clear: did I detect a slightly more aggressive attempt to pad my already stratospheric bill, than at Capital? Not sure. Sauces and preparations are "extra". I personally resent this. Capital doesn't have this yet. Prices stratospheric even for a steakhouse? Not sure. Beef prices are up I would have to rush over to Capital and get the same things and compare. All that said I got what I asked for, my steak medium rare done au poivre and it was perfect, it was done the French way with a creamy sauce. I got my brandy and ginger ale in the tall glass I requested. The icecream (not on the menu) was delicious. It was served with cold cookies that were nothing special that was surprising. Of course I am nitpicking. Total for two with drinks and tip and tax? $265. Wow. I think that Eddie V has nothing to be ashamed of next to its competition. I fault it for being slightly anonymous, each of the steakhouses have "an angle" I couldn't discern at Eddie V. I give the edge to Capital and I will revisit this the next time I try Capital, because of the bill-padding and difficult-to-read wine menu. But no one is tricking you you will have a good time here and be paying for it for months. Save up. read more

This was my first time dining at Eddie V's in Cherry Hill. I fell in with the V Lounge in KOP and now I'm caught up in an entanglement. (shhhh ... That's just between us lol). Eddie V's consistently knocks it out of the park! From your first contact, be it an online review of their website and making reservations, to entering the establishment and being greeted at the hostess stand, to the pleasantries exchanged from the staff member escorting you to your table, through to the expectation being set of who your server will be, followed by impeccable service from a team (if necessary) of absolutely wonderful and down to earth professionals who remain attentive yet never obtrusive. Simply magnificent! I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with 3 friends that came in from out of town, and the next level personal treatment, on top of the amazing food, and the manager's thank you and extension of a warm welcome to us in the future was not taken for granted. The atmosphere is always opulent. And on a summer evening when it was still close to 90 degrees, the cool interior temperature was exquisite. Everything we chose was prepared to perfection. This was the first time 2 of my friends had dined at Eddie V's and they were very pleased. Rating 2.5/5. I was disappointed in the way the food came out. We asked for the rack of lambs to be cooked medium and when we cut it its was very much rare. We had to send it back to put it back on the grill while losing 1/6 of the racks when brought back to our table. For paying 64 then losing 1/6 of your meal was extremely disappointing. Crab fried rice was good flavor wise but unfortunately the rice was not cooked all the way. I'm not sure if they freeze the rice first which led to this result. But a lot of the bites had a crunch/snap in the rice grains itself. On positive notes, services was good. The calamari was a good portion and I enjoyed the scalloped. But for the price you're paying the expensive was still disheartening when it came to the food. read more

I started working in NJ and I wanted to go somewhere nice for my birthday with my boyfriend. The interior is very nice and there was a live jazz band playing when we arrived. We ordered the shellfish tower to share and then I ordered the medallions. The steak was so beautifully cooked and melted in my mouth. The seafood was also very fresh and the lobster wasn't over cooked like it is at other restaurants. At the end the waitress brought me a complimentary birthday cake. The restaurant was gorgeous. It was the best service I have ever had. We had TJ as a waiter and he was helpful, considerate, and went above and beyond to make our experience one of a kind. The food was all 10/10. The lobster tacos were pricy but completely worth it. The entrees were delicious, we were even offered a sampling of a side of carrots with citrus yogurt sauce. The dessert was PHENOMENAL and the little details with the writing made it even better. The manager came up to us to check in and he was polite and cheerful. at the end of the night we did unfortunately leave our leftovers there by accident and they called us and kept them at the front of the restaurant for us to pick up. This place knocked it out of the park. We arrived right at the height of the dinner rush, so we opted to sit at the bar, but that was packed too. We probably waited around 45 minutes for someone to get up...probably would have been 15 minutes if some A-hole and his troll wife didn't cut in front of us. The two managers were outstanding. One of them was in the Marines, Semper Fi. Both of them came up to us and said they were working on getting us a spot and offered my wife and me a complimentary cocktail. That was super thoughtful. After waiting there patiently, the bartender got my attention and motioned to me when someone was getting up, so we were sure to get a spot. After finally getting a place at the bar, we placed our order. My wife had the New York strip and I had the ribeye. Both were cocked to perfection and were delicious. The ambiance was casual; we sat near the piano in the bar area at a table, the lights were dim, and before the band came you heard light chatter and people watching the games. The server was friendly and attentive to the table and our needs, and she also gave great suggestions. Everything is family style. We had the crab cake appetizer which was tasty and had flavor to it and the sauce paired perfectly. We had the lobster mashed potatoes, and we were split on this. I didn't like the taste but my partner said it reminded her of red lobsters loaded baked potatoes. I spoke to two people in the parking lot outside, who had the seafood tower, which was $150! They said they loved it and it was worth the value. The place was very nice inside, the ambience was nice. On this visit, which was my first, we had a long wait until food actually landed on our table, and it was semi cold bread and hard butter. We advised our server Cynthia, and she got more butter. It was 10 minutes to five when bread arrived. I'm a little disappointed and super hungry now. I ordered a Margarita, which I finished while waiting. I ordered an appetizer, which was the lollipop lamb chops. For my meal, I ordered the 18 Oz NY strip, lobster white cheddar mashed potatoes, crab fried rice, and 2 Jumbo Stuffed Gulf Shrimp as an enhancement to my steak. The ambiance exudes elegance and sophistication with a romantic touch; this restaurant is perfect for special occasions and date night. There was a decent selection of fresh oysters. The service was good although the kitchen was a bit slow; the servers were professional and courteous. We started with the yellowtail sashimi which was presented with a beautiful color contrast in the plating, however it was not above average in taste or complexity. The chilean seabass was cooked perfectly in a broth and was delicious but not above and beyond expectations. The filet, too, was standard for a filet. One of the things that set Eddie V's apart in experience was the desert. It wasn't the part of the restaurant I thought I'd be talking about as it's a seafood restaurant, but the bananas foster was truly exceptional. It is flambéed tableside with butter pecan ice cream and stands out among deserts. Overall it is a great restaurant and while the seafood is of high quality, it is not my top seafood restaurant in the area. Mother's Day is difficult for some. I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner at the bar. Big mistake. I ordered a salad and an iced tea at 7:45pm as well as 3 appetizers. At 9 pm my food still hadn't arrived. I asked for bread 3x to no avail bc I was starving. No one cane to check on me from the bar. I paid for my drink and asked for the tab and a manager. I spoke to a Jessica who took 15 mins to come out to speak. She gave me a weak "I'm sorry" with zero explanation on why my food never arrived but everyone around me was served. What's worse is this is the 2nd time in 4 months this has happened when I sit at the bar. Don't do it. Such poor service and I worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years. Me and my family had a fabulous visit at Eddie v's. The quality pf the food was fresh and delicious. Also, the waiter we got was the nicest guy i've ever met. He was kind to us and made up some on the fly jokes that were pretty funny. Leonard, if you are reading this, you deserve a raise 100%. The Shellfish Tower was my favorite this meal. A little taste of everything. Am a serious red meat fan, if they don't have steak you will not see me there. I like mine medium rare, this one was a teeny bit overcooked, however, I still managed to enjoy it. Friends gathered to celebrate a birthday. I arrived @3:40pm and reservation was at 4pm but I had to wait outside (because the restaurant did not open until 4pm). Our servers were phenomenal! I will start this review by saying I wish I had tried Eddie V's sooner. I recall seeing the restaurant while leaving Maggiano's in CH a few months ago. So, while deciding where I wanted to go for NYE, I recalled Eddie V's again. I am so happy I did. I made an early reservation (@4:30) for NYE bc I knew the place would be mobbed later on. I was right. Upon my arrival, there were plenty of open tables. I was seated at a table near the back of the restaurant close to the fireplace screen. I loved it. I truly felt cozy and fancy at the same time. My waiter was Christian. He came over to greet me and ask if I wanted a beverage. I placed an order for the crabcake appetizer bc I was starving. It didn't take long for the appetizer to arrive. The crab cake was all crab, no filling whatsoever. I truly loved it. I felt the aioli that accompanied the crab cake paired well with it. I submitted my entree, I had the NY bone in strip with a spiced chili rub, the crab fried rice and potatoes au gratin. My partner had the salmon. We sat and chatted for a few while we waited for our entrees. Everything arrived in a timely fashion. My NY strip was cooked perfectly. I loved the chili rub and true flavor of the steak. The crab rice was good, but the rave reviews about it were a little overrated. I was expecting to have some mind blowing fried rice. It was decently flavored fried rice topped with lump crab. Now, when I tell you that Eddie V's has THEE BEST potatoes au gratin known to man, I sincerely mean it. I don't know what the chef cooked up, but the creaminess, savory, cheesy, goodness was mind blowing. I almost forgot I had a steak. My partner enjoyed his salmon, but raves about the potatoes as well. We decided to skip dinner and go with desert drinks. My chocolate martini was delicious. Right before I was done with my martini, we were given complimentary champagne for our NYE toast. My group came around 5:15 to make sure we had enough time for the HH deals, and were still there at 6:30 when the live music started, which was an awesome touch! The lobster tacos were phenomenal and possibly my favorite dish. So flavorful and the homemade tortillas made it even better. So hard to compare though because everything was so tasty. My one complain is the lobster bites could have definitely used more sauce, because they were a bit dry. I ordered the happy hour cosmo which was delicious!
