The Bonefish Grill is highly overrated. I would give them 2-stars, but I will admit that the Bang Bang Shrimp is worth coming for. I've been here for lunch and dinner, and neither time was very impressed with the selection. This time we went for brunch. I had heard how the Bonefish was famous for bottomless mimosas for brunch, so why not... but not at this one... $5 a pop for what turns out to be mostly orange juice... too bad. read more

I had two good experiences in other locations but this place fell flat. While our server was very pleasant, the other tables server was taking long slow walks back to the kitchen and mumbling under his breath about his customers. Bang bang shrimp were very good as usual. That's where it ended. My fish was dripping excess oil all over and tasted awful. My girlfriends order while cooked fine had no flavor to it. With the shrimp the exception everything tasted very bland. Won't be returning to this location again. read more

Ok folks I have been going to restaurants for a number years now but when the waitress asked how was my meal I said the fish on the plate for my entree was alot smaller then the last time so her reply was that the fish portions vary per month?? So your telling me that I should visit certain months of the year to get more for my money How stupid! read more

Great service and the food comes out perfect every single time! The one time our food was delayed coming out the manager came right over and offered us a free round of drinks. Excellent customer service! read more

Our waiter had good intentions but the place is a mad house and every busy. We had to wait on refills and the dinner took forever to comeout. With all the waiters on the floor who was going to bring our food? When the food finally arrived we ate and left, oh yea and very over priced. read more

We love this place! Great seafood at affordable prices. Everything is really good & fresh & doesn't make me feel like we are eating at a chain restaurant. The coconut shrimp are amazing! My favorite dish is the Chilean Sea Bass in the Pan Asian sauce!! read more

It was good. I had the Sea bass which was excellent albeit tiny. I really can't complain. I just don't like chain restaurants so can't see myself coming back. read more

I've been coming to this resturaunt for years and I really have to say although the menu has improved and added more variety, the quality of food and service has dropped drastically. The place wasn't packed at all and we only saw our waiter once every like 20 minutes. When we wanted the check, he was nowhere in sight, and the food took a long time to come out as well. I ordered the bang bang shrimp which was on the money as always, and the bread is always really good. I ordered the tilapia imperial, the portion size was extremely slow and it tasted like vomit as well. Horribly cooked with bad presentation. If I ever come here again I'm only ordering the kobe beef burger which never disappoints and it's kind of sad a burger is the best thing to eat a seafood resturaunt. read more

The food was good, but the service was awfully slow. I was told the computer was down.

I understand more than most the need for change. So I was understanding why the need to swap out the corn with crab chowder soup for lobster bisque. I waited for six weeks for the return of the corn with crab chowder only to be greeted with something that tastes like and resembles tortilla soup. It in no way resembles visually or on the palette corn crab chowder. I feel like I was deceived for weeks. Many will say that I am over reacting. However, in a world where honesty is at a premium, you can't afford to be misleading about even the smallest details. I will have to look for another place to frequent. Bye Adrienne! Bye Trisha! You two were my second favorite reasons for coming in multiple times a week. read more

I cannot believe what an amazing time I had here Trishy and Gus were awesome next time I'm bringing my girlfriends They deserve a raise !

I went to the one in Orlando, FL many years ago and I thought it was excellent....But this place seems very commercialized now. I ordered the salad with shrimp. It had a lot of cheap dressing that I did not like. Honestly I thought I was ordering a small ceviche, so the salad filled me up. I never got to try the steaks or seafood dinners. Wine list is mediocre, for the wine snobs. read more

Went to dinner last night it was completely packed at The bonefish in East Brunswick so we tried the one in Woodbridge and was also packed , it was a 30-45 min wait so we waited . The food was good like usually, I got the filet mignon she got the taco fish, everything was good the manager Christopher made it a 5 star night .. He brought me another filet mignon because he felt just like I did my 9 ounce filet mignon was a very small cut , so he got me a brand-new one and I took it home after I ate the one I ordered .. This guy was a great manager before that and just from acknowledging and taking action right away lets me know that he knows how to handle customers and run a business.. Good job Chris !! Thank you again .. read more

Absolutely great lobster roll. If you like lobster you've got to taste it. Nice service too. read more

Dinning out experience includes service and food. Last Saturday we had a reservation for table at 8.15 PM, we arrived on time, but staff asked us to wait for 10 min, but got our table at 8.45 PM. Waiter showed up at 9 PM at our table. We quickly placed our orders (we were hungry), at 9.15 some one (not the table waiter) dropped (literally) appetizer and vanished. We did not have any thing else on our table, cutlery napkins, plates and serving spoon. We signaled someone for things we need to eat, and finally we got our cutlery and plates at 9.20 pm. But still we did not have serving spoons. I signaled again for the waiter, he informed us that chopsticks which were stacked at the end of the tables needs to be used to serve appetizers (they assume that we know how to use chopstick and assume that we need to use it for serving ). I don't like food and drinks being dropped at the table by vanishing faces, I can get better service than that from any fast food chain. When they are charging top dollars for food they better put some service into it, I would give them another chance, and will update latter. read more

Horrible service. Horrible food. Clueless servers. Overpriced for the quality of food served. Avoid at all costs.

One of the finer experiences I have had in my many years of dining in restaurants......from the welcoming by management, Lauren, to the excellent service by LaFonza, the waiter, who was personable, attentive and accurate, without being obtrusive.....ask for LaFonza if you go.......I had the Trout and sides which were all excellent, as this kitchen does things right, management has quality control over the front and back of the business..........Bonefish Iselin does it right !!! read more

Came on a Sunday evening for an early dinner and there was no wait at all (about 6'ish). Food was ok and seasoned well although my sirloin steak in my surf and turf (steak and crabcake) was done more medium than medium rare like the way I requested it. I didn't find the portions huge by any means though, as other diners had written. read more

Bonefish is a really nice place to eat. It has great salmon, chilean sea bass, and a very nice wine list!!

I would have to say that my boyfriend and I have been to this place at least 3 or 4 times and we're never disappointed. I absolutely love the Bang Bang shrimp and the last time we went there...we got our own appetizer because we didn't want to share. Another thing that I like is the $5 Sangria and Strawberry Martinis. Another thing that I love...is the bread that you dip in the olive oil...kinda makes me think of the Macaroni Grill but I could give a damn less...I still like it. Anywho...I think the service is always great...I think just about every time we went, we met with the manager since he would go around from table to table and one time he even gave us a free drink. Everytime I go, I get some type of salmon dish. If there isn't something with salmon on the daily special menu, I get the grilled salmon in pan-asain sauce...yummy!! This place is definitely better quality than Red Lobster and a bit classier. It has turned into one of my fave spots to go to in No Man's Land, NJ. read more

This is one of the nicer, more affordable chain restaurants around, especially when it comes to seafood. A much more upscale atmosphere than Red Lobster but not to the scale of McCormick's. At our last meal there, my wife had the crab cakes and I had the pecan crusted tilapia - both excellent. Their bar is a bit light on beer menu but my wife had a pomegranate martini which she said was very good. We go there about two or three times a year - much better now that you can make reservations - online even. We don't go more because it is a bit pricey (as is most good seafood restaurants) and they haven't changed their menu since we've been going there - however long the Route 1 location has been open. They do have specials which helps to vary the menu. Their staff is generally good however we have experienced occasions where that has not been the case. read more

I'll start by saying I'm really not a restaurant chain person. You couldn't pay me to go to Fridays or Applebee's, but I absolutely love Bonefish. Bang bang shrimp is amazing, brunch menu is delicious, I've really never been disappointed here. The staff is very professional which is sometimes hard to find at the corporate restaurants. My friend and I go just for the bar once in awhile because it's cozy and they run good specials! I recommend signing up for the emails through their website, they usually have good promotions! read more

It must be rt. 1, slow service for brunch. They offer endless mimosas so you'd think they'd have plenty to go around. It took on average 20 minutes for drinks to get refills. We were there right at the beginning of brunch so it wasn't busy and we ordered eggs for some reason it took a while to make eggs. Never been here, always wanted to try it. Not coming back. read more

I got take out here. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. The bartender was nice and attentive. My lemon drop martini was pretty good; nice and strong. We ordered the shrimp tacos, bang bang shrimp and the Kobe burger. I normally like all that stuff. Got home and my burger was dry like it had been grilled twice. The bun was stale. Bang bang shrimp was good. I mean you take a hit, because they get soggy in the container. Tacos were pretty okay. Overall, rule of thumb, make the food fresh! I probably wouldn't come back to this Bonefish location. read more

This is hands down one of my favorite local restaurants. I know it's a chain but I have been going coming here since it opened up. Not much changed and I still come visit here regularly. Let me start off with wait times. Just like most good restaurants on weekends at peak hours there is a wait time usually around 45min or so. I usually come around 9pm where wait time dies down and usually get seated right away. They used to be calling ahead but they got away with it. I'm not sure if they take reservations as I usually don't make them here. They are known for their bang bang shrimp but my favorite appetizer is mussels Josephine. I usually use their delicious bread and dip it in mussels sauce.. Really good. My hands down favorite meal is Chilean seabass! So gooood. It comes with usually house fresh veggies and u pick another side which I stick with more veggies. Drinks are very good and usually have some specials. Blackberry sangria is good also Martinis are really good as well. Service is always on point I must say, sometimes it's really good but never experienced bad service there yet and hopeful never will. I have been here so many times and usually visit every other week or so. U won't be disappointed if u decide to visit. read more

Bonefish Grill - Chilean seabass special I think this one was filled with crab meat - Seafood Near Me - Iselin, New Jersey

I am definitely a fan of this Bonefish Grill. I have been here multiple time in different groups and it has always been a solid choice. I love the lemon drop martini's and bang bang shrimp. One time they put to much bang bang sauce but i can forgive that as i haven't had any issue at this place. The place is lively and good for a date or just stopping to grab something to eat with friends. read more

This is my first time eating at Bonefish Grill, it was for my sister's birthday dinner. The food were great. I tried the Prix 3-Courses dinner, it was $19.50 each person, the grill scollops were a little dry, but it still taste ok. I like my salad. The first time ever I tried dumpling in the American way & it was not bad. I like the Bang Bang Shrimp too. They have the Kobe Beef Burger that I want to try next time I go there. Then I had creme Brulee for dessert, the order was too big for me since I was very very full. read more

It was pretty good. I'm not a fish person but I was able to find a good steak dish with garlic gorgonzola butter.

Can't get enough of this place! I've yet to try something off of their menu that hasn't wowed me. Their bacon wrapped scallops in mango sauce is to die for and their Asian inspired salmon is beyond words! During the Fall, they have a natural apple martini that tastes like apple sauce. It's killer! read more

Came here for drinks and apps, then ended up staying for dinner! Apps - tuna sashimi, bacon wrapped scallops, and coconut shrimp. All were great! For dinner I had salmon with the lemon butter sauce and their new lemon quinoa salad. Very tasty!! Also tried Golden Monkey beer which, by the way, is 9.4% of amazingness (alc content). Excellent suggestions and service by our server Adam. Enjoy! read more

I expected to hate this place. I love small thoughtful restaurants and this seemed the total opposite but I really loved the food. Everything was recognizable and seemed pretty fresh. The wait was a little crazy so we snagged the last seats at the bar. I would certainly go back. read more

Stopped by on a whim last Wednesday and it was Bang Bang Shrimp night. We had to switch to a both seeing as how we both hate tables but our experience here was one for the history books. Marita was our Server and she was great. I had my usual a Black Berry Sangria, Sirloin & Crab Cake dinner with crusted blue cheese it it was delicious. Marita even remembered to bring a cup of steak sauce which I usually have to remind people o read more

My girlfriend and I went here and had Amanda as our server. She was amazing and super helpful. Will definitely back!!

For a "commercial" restaurant I can't say enough good things about it. Great service, excellent Floor Manager who always takes good care of us named Deon Taylor. The bread is always baked to perfection. Wednesday the restaurant has a special on Bang Bang Shrimp (I recommend not to order take out on this item, much better ordering in). The Lobster Stuffed Shrimp with Broc and crab fried rice is spectacular. The Maryland Crab Cakes are great as well (would be authentic if it had Old Bay seasoning). All in all the salads are fresh, the bread is high quality and the dining experience is awesome especially for the commercial budget. I see myself becoming a regular. I highly recommend. Great job to Jamal as well and the ladies in the front. Wife and I enjoyed. read more

We have visited Bonefish Grill's all over the United States. We have always been pleased with the quality of food and the service. This time in East Brunswick it was not as good. Traveling on business and was staying at the Renaissance across the way. Decided to walk over to Bonefish since I saw it when I was driving in. Sat at the bar and was acknowledged immediately. Ordered a cocktail from the bar menu and the bartender steered me toward a better option. Much appreciation because the dirty martini was excellent!!!! I then had the filet and crab cake combo. The filet was a bit undercooked but that's on me since I ordered it mid rare instead of medium (so many times I order medium when I'm out and it is overcooked). Not on this occasion, it was actually undercooked. Crab cake and sautéed spinach were perfect. Potatoes were a bit undercooked. Kept my drink full the whole time and checked back on me. Nice restaurant overall. read more

My husband and I went to Bonefish on a Saturday night, around 8 p.m. The wait was about 45 minutes, but that's to be expected. We ordered the Thai Coconut Shrimp appetizer (nice and crunchy) and the Black Cherry Guava mojitos (so good!). For our entrees, I had the Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout and hubby had the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine. We both enjoyed them, and hubby was happy that they do not skimp on the amount of shrimp in the dish. We ordered the coconut pie and brownie desserts to take home. Everything was delicious, and the service by Dawn Marie was phenomenal! She was so friendly and happy to be there! read more

Went there this past Saturday night with my parents and husband.I ordered the fish and chips..mistake on my part. For the price you pay the portion size was very small. The 3 pieces of fish were not good..very mush. You could tell they were frozen. The french fries tasted like they were barely cooked. My husband got the Bang Bang shrimp tacos. He said they were okay but again, could tell they were frozen shrimp. We all left still hungry. Best part of the meal was the warm bread they put on the table. Will not be going back any time soon read more

This was my second time at this restaurant the food is amazing, I ordered the bang bang shrimp and its delicious a must have when going there, I have also had the Lilys Salmon which was very good, a combination of flavor wich makes it delicious. The service there isn't so good, my mom ordered a salad which their forgot to bring, I ordered the soup of the day with the lilys salmon the soup never came when I asked the server about my soup he had forgot about it and when it came it was already cold. Food delicious, service not so good! read more
