This is a nice intimate lounge restaurant located in downtown Perth Amboy. It was beautifully decorated for a surprise birthday party, very colorful and inviting environment. The staff were all very helpful and allowed us to celebrate with each other for hours without feeling rushed. The host of the birthday party hired live musicians which at times performed with the DJ. The food consisted of some hors d'oeuvres, and I had the empanadas which were so good. The sangria and other drinks were enjoyed by everyone in attendance. We had an amazing time. The food was pretty okay. The service, however, was horrendous. My family went as a group of eight for a birthday. The seating was extremely packed, they only had one server and one bartender. The server clearly didn't know how to work the POS system and messed up multiple orders & forgot to put in other orders. I was completely skipped over when the table ordered drinks, she spilled a shot on one of our party member's phones, another member of the party waited over a half hour for the INCORRECT drink, they messed up a kid's order and then acted like we were the ones inconveniencing them. Would not recommend lol. Save your time and your money because our bill racked up to almost $350 and it was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in my life. read more

This week we had more margaritas, I got the Mofongitos again, but I then had the BORI platter & my husband had the teriyaki salmon!! I didn't dine but the food was still warm about time I got home and was delicious. I got Classic Fried Picadera (large only), Guacamole & Tostones, the Real HASTA LA MUERTE and sushi roll and veggies! Service was pretty decent as I did pickup at 8 8 and had to wait 10-15 minutes additional but the bar was available and music. A good spot to go to any day of the week! Will be back. read more

Ordered some apps and food, no drinks ...apps, in my opinion, were better than the food. We had the chicharrón and mofonguitos. SO GOOD. We also had Bistec Encebollado, salmón teriyaki , and the ribeye. The Ribeye was mostly fat, and so unfortunately we had to leave half of it. The salmon was ok - nothing out of this world. The Bistec was good. Overall, food not that bad. BUT the service was very slow. Although the server was very nice, it took forever to get just our drinks - we had water. The ambiance itself is nice. Would I go back ? No - for what we ordered, the final price (with 20% auto gratuity) wasn't worth it. read more

We ordered the $80 Tomahawk steak that was advertised as massive and we thought perfect for sharing -- well, see the pics. Not big at all for the price. Flavor was decent, alot of fat and for $80, we expected something much more impressive in both size and presentation. same with a Calamari dish so small! The food was really good. The restaurant is a nice intimate place with great decor. The bad was the bill!! We had wings and they charged us $3 for blue cheese! Who does that! They also charged a 20% service charge and it was just me and my daughter! Then they suggested a tip on the receipt! Before I got the bill, I told my daughter that I would definitely come back. Not!! I appreciate the response. Question for you. Is the 20% service charge the on the menu? My waitress was good and I like to take care of them, but the service charge prevented me from doing so. The service was horrible, we paid for a comedy show in the VIP section and never got it. We got there when the doors opened and they left us at the bar the entire time and never sat us down at the VIP section. They sat everyone else that came in after us. We were never serviced even though we asked to be several times.... never got dinner either.. ...if I could give negative stars I would so had to give them 1 star.... this place never again. read more

After a long week at work, I make sure to stop here! This place is one of my favorite spots. The happy hour special is all I need, the food is very good, and the drinks are too! I love a happy hour special. If you are looking for your traditional Hispanic food and strong drinks then this is the spot. The bartenders are always polite and attentive. The place was recently renovated so it looks much better. I recommend this place! Only suggestion to the owner: get a DJ and security to be present during happy hour. read more

I am literally writing this whilst sitting in this restaurant. We got here at our scheduled reservation time and they didn't have a table set for the party I had reserved. We sat for 45 minutes before a server came over to take our order (we had to get a bartender to look for our server because she went outside for only God knows what). After the 45 minute wait to take our order it was another 40 minutes to get our food. This is labelled a restaurant but the music is so loud it might as well be classified as a night club. The music being so loud had our server coming out and serving incorrect orders, items that we didn't even ask for/incorrectly prepared food. The food was overcooked, at least on my end and looked like it was prepared by a family member for a casual dinner, obviously out of resources to properly make the meal. I got the Sliders and the patties were over cooked, cheese not melted, and buns two times the size of the patties. There were two orders of Sliders and only one side of fries provided. All of these high end reviews are obviously from people who didn't expect food and only wanted drinks. If that is the case this place should be labelled a bar and not a restaurant. As someone who works in a restaurant I would be ashamed to give this service to a guest. if you're looking for authentic hispanic food this is not the place to go. They try to shove their promotions down your throat even after you've said no. One of the people who came with me didn't even get her proper order and had to cancel since she already waited as long as she did. None of her drinks came out correct either. If you can't make something as simple as a Malibu Maybreeze, maybe you shouldn't call yourself a bartender. I wish i could leave 0 stars worst birthday dinner EVER. UPDATE: they didn't comp and of the meals they got incorrect so we paid for meals that were never eaten/sent back due to their negligence AND after one of our guests had an ALLERGIC REACTION they only took 10% off of her meal and GASLIT her into believing that she randomly developed a new allergy THAT NIGHT. literally never even looking at this place again. i am disgusted. read more

Arrived to Eden's at 2 in the afternoon on 3.3.2024 pretty empty ordered a few beers half chicken fries and chicken with tostones. Sat for a whole hour and never received my food I couldn't believe it she never put the order in. We often came here like every Friday and the last few times the service has been absolutely horrible. The waiter Sharianna never came once to check on us and had the nerve to say it was busy in here when in fact it was empty. Checked my bill and she added a tip for 3 beers unbelievable. I went to this bar/restaurant on Saturday to have a good night out after a long week. Long story short the bartender who was working there that night needs to either be fired or retrained on how to speak and work with people. He was rude, offensive and incompetent. He called my friends mom fat and made the worst drinks. If you want to go out and have a good time maybe try somewhere else, this guy is going to run this bar to the ground.
