Red Lobster has had its up and downs but this experience wasn't too bad. The wait was a bit long, seemed like they were a bit understaffed. Our waitress, Jennifer, was extremely kind and definitely did her best with us. Most of the food was tasty, some things could've used a bit more seasoning. For Father's Day Sunday thought there would be a wait but we were seated right away. Olivia was our server and she was very attentive and we got 2 refills of their famous cheddar biscuits. Ambiance was sitting by the bar which was quite dark o Lt think. All the eating was good but felt tired with the dark shaded space. But their menu is quite extensive and so don't remember having Seafood Boil bags good to know for next time cravings. W shot seafood stuffed mussels which were smaller then menu picture depicted. I got a 3 drink margarita flight was was like 3 different flavored drinks from $16.99 a steal. And salmon with shrimp New Orleans style and they have more side offerings now but are premium à la carte which is additional charge . The food wasn't bad--Cajun-flavored crabs were actually quite good, and our server was friendly and did a great job. However, we came specifically for the crab fest, and they had no crab crackers available. It was incredibly frustrating trying to eat crabs without the proper utensils. To be fair, our server did let us know in advance, but it's disappointing that a restaurant promoting a crab fest wouldn't be properly equipped for it. Always loved this location as lunch service was great years ago, but hadn't been here since the menu changed and prices increased. Upon entering, there was no host manning the desk and the 2 people who finally came had absent smiles, no "welcome to Red Lobster" but greeted with a simple, "how many?" instead. Food is A LOT more expensive so you'd expect your food to be on point. Ultimate Feast ($50) and many other favorites - anything with lobster or crab - are now on the menu priced at $40+/pp but now you have more "create your own" options. Staff is friendly but they socialize with each other a lot. Food took 40 minutes to come out. The filet mignon was well done instead of medium so way over cooked and dry. Our Ultimate Feast was warm not hot but since the waitress took over 15 minutes to return and we were all starving we couldn't even complain to her nor the non-existent manager. Not even sure if there was a manager that evening because usually they come around asking patrons "how is everything" but there was none of that. I am happy at least that she kept our glasses full and was very nice but it will be awhile before we return here again (esp. with Bonefish a few doors down, the spend is comparable, food is excellent, and service always on point). The biscuits were somewhat disappointing as I've never seen them so flat (Popeyes biscuits are thicker). They still tasted good but there was no "rise" like the boxed Red Lobster biscuits which come out better. The broccoli side was the best it's ever been. The first round also comes with a side. They unfortunately ran out of the "Dragon Shrimp" today. The food itself was good, but we had to wait 20-30 minutes between rounds because the kitchen was so dang slow. The dinner ended up taking 2.5 hours. Ya girl was falling asleep. Our server acknowledged the long wait, but didn't offer anything to make up for it. An extra side would have been a nice gesture. During this trip I had a taste for the garlic sauce they cook the shrimp scamp in but I also wanted Alfredo pasta. So, I ordered the grilled chicken(or it may have been Cajun chicken) and linguini in a cream/Alfredo sauce. I asked for a side of the garlic sauce that the scampi is cooked in and the Waite said she'd see if she could get it and didn't think it would be an issue. Well, she got it and it gave the food such a nice kick! I loved it! A nice size portion along with a side of broccoli and biscuits. My biscuits were nice and warm. Where should I start? Came in and the host Will was pleasant and got us seated quickly which was the best part of dinner. Sat down and was sitting for almost 18 min before the server came over. When she did she didn't bother to give her name. All she did was as were we ready to order which we had to ask her name which she said was Karen. She brought bread over and took our drink order which took another 15 min to get along with water. After she brought the drinks we order and that took over 35 min to bring. Never once coming over saying anything about why it was taking so long to bring our entrées. Once entrées comes from the people in the back Karen never came over to check on us to see if everything was OK. She was walking around talking to other servers which they were doing their job but I have no idea what she was doing because we go no attention from her. While we were eating I asked for more scampi since I ordered the Endless shrimp and that took another 20 min which at that point I was ready to go so we just asked for containers so we could go and even then she was walking around and finally brought us the containers. We asked her while she was there to bring the check because we was worried she would disappear again and not be seen for another 30 min. Once she brought the check we paid and waited for her to bring it back so we could sign the check and get out of there. I like Red Lobster but Karen needs to be retrained or fired because she's not a good host. Choose Red Lobster at your own risk of poor service. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the food and service. We were placed in the corner and it felt like it took forever to have someone even order drinks and food. Good experience for lunch today. This is the only Red Lobster I've ever been to in my entire life - been coming since I was a child and my parents would take us. But now as an adult, I can better understand and appreciate the experience. Although it's not a high class seafood bistro down the shore with super fresh catches, their food does the trick for me. My lunch today was a seafood trio of sorts. I had fried shrimp, garlic shrimp scampi, and flounder. The side was a nice buttery rice pilaf and of course, a ton of cheddar bay biscuits. The fried shrimp was a little smaller than I expected but still good. The shrimp scampi was my favorite - great flavor. As for the flounder, could've been better because it lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall, the food experience could have been better. But I know I've had many great experiences in past years here so I cannot be too picky. I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere as the interior seemed newer than the last time I remember it. Visited this location last Saturday 4/23/22 at the request of my 10 year old. Upon arrival the greeter at the front was apparently on her lunch break as she had an entire spread of mozzarella sticks, Mac and Cheese , and shrimp pasta in front of her chewing nastily and digging in her food while asking how many guest need to be seated. This was so nasty and disgusting, as she also went to grab the menus to seat us after digging her fingers in her food and sharing with her friend . I get it Red Lobsters isn't a five star restaurant but my gosh. Shocked managers allow those low class antics. Nevertheless my food was decent and my waitress ok.
