This was my first time back at Bonefish Grill for a couple of years. In the past, I was not so impressed with the food. This time I had a better experience. Walking in, the hostess, Lia, was super friendly. She was busy doing something to help out the whole time we were there. We were seated quickly at a booth. Our server Justin was very nice. The bread was nice and crusty. We got seconds, because it was so delicious. My husband ordered the Rhea's Snapper. The salsa was very citrusy and complimented the snapper. I ordered the bourbon glazed fillet. It was cooked nicely. I wouldn't have minded having a bigger serving. The whipped potatoes were tasty. My asparagus was not very green. I would've liked to have had asparagus with a little more flavor. We finished dinner with nicely made cappuccino, and crème brûlée, which I ate every last bite. The manager, Nick, stopped by to check on us. I would definitely go back.
Probably one of the worst dining out experiences I've had. My family and I decided to come here as a celebration/wanting to try a new place. It started off okay but things quickly turned toward the worst. Everyone in the group ordered a drink and some appetizers. We got the calamari and it was just awful. Tiny and just all breading, we barely ate it. Nachos were decent but extremely spicy. Even for people at the table that like spice. We put in our food order and ordered another round of drinks. The food was taking pretty long so we wound up ordering another round of drinks while we waited. When the server took that order, she told us that was our last round and that we couldn't order anymore drinks. She said it was a Florida law that you can't have more than 3 drinks. I go out to dinners/happy hours pretty often and I have never heard that before. I was so surprised. She was a bit rude/condescending about it so we asked to speak to a manager while we still waited for our food. We had to ask twice before she went and got him. The manager came over and explained that there is a corporate policy for Bonefish and that guests can only have 4 drinks and he didn't understand why she capped us at 3. We said we understood/accepted that it was a policy but it was strange how our server reacted and how she wasn't being truthful. He wound up comping our food and told us whenever we were finished, we could leave out the back door. Strange. I left 2 stars because the main courses were decent and the manager comped the meal but overall, terrible experience and I won't ever go back to a bonefish.
I order take out all the time from this location. The portions on last nights order was ridiculous! The crab fries had about a tablespoon of crab. The normal order has a ton of crab. The asparagus was microwaved and pretty pathetic for $6.00. I am extremely disappointed and don't see myself ordering anytime soon. I should get the same portions whether I dine in or do take out. Do better....
Bonefish Boynton is not just for the silver hair crowds early bird dinners anymore! They now have the coolest food and cocktail pairings a couple of times a month! I got a heads up from my Love that they were offering their first Brunch special event the same weekend my bestie was coming for a girls weekend! She and I made reservations right away. We had soooooo much fun and the food and drinks were fantastic! Our server Van was attentive and super helpful in organizing alternative cocktails for my friend who is allergic to the sulfates in vodka. Van spoke to the bartender and the bartender made two different cocktails on the fly when the vodka drinks were served. Shout out to that bartender too... the regularly planned cocktails AND the improvised no vodka cocktails (I got to try sips of hers) were so good. They also decorated the tables that were participating in the brunch with cute fall decor. They also sat brunch participants family style so we got to chat up some new people during brunch. All food was served individually though so there was no awkward family style sharing situation. Amuse Bouche: they started us out with a tasty small bite plate of tequila soaked fried angel food cake bites with a tequila lime syrup to dip it in. Holy everything whoever thought of this was a genius it was delicious! The cocktail served with it was a mimosa ! Course 1: shrimp and grits, and not a small portion either...because this was four courses we figured it would all be small plates, but we were mistaken...this was a regular serving size and so delicious we pretty much both ate our entire helping. The cocktail served with this course was a Sunny Side Up martini. It was a satisfying orange and maple syrup martini with a garnish of candied bacon with a little egg shaped gummy candy. Loved! Course 2: Bang Bang Shrimp eggs Benedict. A ginormous helping of well made eggs Benedict where they use their bang bang sauce in the hollandaise sauce. Came with home fries on the side. The cocktail this round was Sparkling Mango White Sangria. My bestie and I loved it, but the other 4 ppl at the table left theirs alone after a sip...not sure what they tasted that we didn't. I thought it was sparkly and fruity and refreshing. We each packed half this course to take home for breakfast the next day. Course 3: crème brulee French toast. This was the only disappointment. We hoped it would be custardy with a crunch brulee crunch on the outside. Instead it was very dry with only a slight brulee suggestion on some of the toast. We were so full by this point we packed it for the next day. The final cocktail was the espresso based Wake Up Call. I don't love coffee or coffee flavors, but it was good. For someone who likes coffee it would probably have been a big hit. There's a dinner and cocktail pairing coming up later this month, I am posting a photo of the menu in case any of you see this before it happens!
I have dined at Bonefish before but my first time at the Boynton Beach location. The location is in a shopping plaza which could easily be missed if you're not familiar with the area. The decor and ambiance was nice. We chose to come for lunch and was surprised to see it almost empty. Our waiter Arcedes was friendly but not engaging or informative when it came to the menu. We all chose the 3 course meal items. The Caesar salad, Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos and Kung Pao Shrimp Bowl were delicious! However, the one disappointing part of this experience was the service. The lack of attention from our waiter led us to speak to the manager named Leslie. She was very polite and apologetic. Her genuine concern and willingness to listen is why we will return in the near future. I sincerely hope this was just a rare occurrence because the food was great!!
Ever gone out to eat and a server ruins your meal for you? Well look no further than bonefish grill in boynton beach! I made the mistake of selecting this place because the happy hour menu looked fun to celebrate my husbands graduation. From the time the server got to our table she didn't seem to like us much; was discouraging us from ordering happy hour drinks and telling us we need to drink water cause it's hot outside. The food was honestly pretty terrible minus the free bread. The apps all were randomly spicy and the calamari was so chewy it was hurting my jaw. The icing on the cake was when the waitress came to our table and told us we were cut off after three drinks and it was Florida law. One think I can't stand is a liar. It is not Florida law and mind you I had three drinks but the other people at the table only had 2 and she was denying any of us more. I asked for a manager because it's not law and after waiting and asking for the manager twice he came over and told us it's not Florida law but restaurant policy to not allow customers more than four drinks.... I eat out a lot and do many happy hours; never in my LIfe have I heard this. Those weak drinks they serve at happy hour weren't even good! How does bonefish plan to stay in business I wonder? I think it came down to the restaurant was filled with people 90 plus years old and they didn't want anyone young in there, my only guess. I'm giving two stars generously cause management comped the meal and we just left but honestly the manager didn't seem like he gave a crap anyway. Never. Again and beware.....
Happy to be able to get a reservation for 6 of us on a Saturday night during prime time. Walt, our waiter was on point, and took very good care of us. Bonefish is one of the few restaurant chains that I find consistent. Although the bang bang shrimp specials on Wednesdays and the happy hour appetizers were discontinued the regular menu has not gone up in price. We've never gone to any Bonefish where the service food or drinks weren't up to par. There were dinner specials, three-course dinner for two, daily special and the regular menu. I had a side salad with a bang bang shrimp appetizer. My portion and meal was delicious. Friends at our table enjoyed trout, pork chops, shrimp, tacos, brownies... We were all impressed at how reasonable dinner was, each couple paid between $60-$70 for dinner with appetizers, dessert and cocktails. Bonefish Grill was founded in Florida, in 2000. There are now franchises around the country with the most, 49 being in Florida. There used to be many in the Metropolitan New York City area, around upscale malls. Now there's only one left outside the big Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island. The calorie count is listed next to every drink and food option. I know the bang bang shrimps are high in calories, so I can balance them with a low-calorie salad rather than fried high calorie Brussel sprouts.
Is it a chain? Yes... Is it woefully lacking in anything resembling local seafood? Yes again... Is it consistently good, clean, and a great experience? A resounding yes! Our server was friendly and quick to refill empty water glasses, so yay us. We started with some cocktails and appetizers. - My Coconut Crush tasted like Ft. Lauderdale beach smelled in the 90's. My lovely date had the Wildflower Martini, and she was surprised and delighted with the sidecar of champagne served alongside. - Corn and lump crab chowder was creamy and delicious. - The Poke Bowl was full of fish and served with crispy chips that made the perfect accompaniment. - The Triple Threat (crispy charred brussell sprouts, bang bang shrimp, and tuna sashimi, each served with their own sauce) had us almost full before dinner ever made it to the table! My rainbow trout was perfectly cooked and though I was ready to burst, we still managed to find room for the Key Lime Cake. Tall, tart, tasty, and topped with toasted coconut, it was the perfect ending to a great meal!

As a past resident of South Florida, I was eager to come visit my friends who live in Delray Beach. We were camping in Lake Worth and decided to Meet halfway at the Bonefish Grill in Boynton Beach. We had an early 5:00 Reservation and we're seated immediately. The decor is very woody, with white table cloths. Our waiter Kyle came over right away with warm Ciabatta bread and olive oil with herbs. Our drink order was taken, and my date ordered a Caramel IPA and a black fresh cup of coffee for me. There were four of us and each couple got a free appetizer when we ordered two entrees. We opted for the Bang Bang Shrimp, sauteed instead of deep fried and Calamari for my friends. They were both made fresh and delicious. I ordered the grilled trout with fresh broccoli and coleslaw for my entree. My fiancée ordered the crab encrusted Cod with sautéed spinach and potatoes au gratin. My trout was grilled perfectly and my broccoli was cooked al dente, along with the coleslaw which wasn't heavily dressed. My date's Cod was encrusted with breadcrumbs and lump crab meat. His potatoes au gratin were out of this world! By the time we finished dinner, there wasn't an empty seat in the house! Our waiter was so helpful and attentive. We had a lovely dinner at the Bonefish Grill! Food -4 stars Price -$$$ Service-4 stars Ambiance-3 stars (roomy, but very noisy) read more

It's been a few years since I've had Bone Fish and it didn't disappoint. The Tuna Poke Bowl was a new add on and so worth it!!! The bang bang shrimp was amazing!! The service was kind of slow but only because they seem to be low on servers but if you're in no rush it shouldn't matter. Enjoyed our time and the ambiance. Great dinner! read more

This restaurant is dimly lit, great for date night and our service was awesome. Our server was Anne. She is a ball of energy, very energetic and very attentive. We ordered the sirloin with a crab cake and she recommended the bacon Mac and cheese and we had the mashed potatoes as well. The steak was a little bland but the crab cake was good. The Mac and cheese had the right amount of cheese and it wasn't too cheesy. The music in the atmosphere is soft enough to have a conversation but loud enough to fill up the awkwardness of silence at a table. Great ambiance and great for a nice subtle dinner or date night on the week day . I'd highly recommend our server Anne she was awesome and gave us great suggestions. read more

I usually stop by the bar here on my own when they have their Hooked on Tuesday special- a prixe fixed menu where you choose either house salad or ceasar, your meat or seafood entree, and then your choice of dessert (brownie a la mode, coconut pie, or cheesecake) all starting at $14.99! The bartenders are quite friendly and accomodating here, so it's pleasant to just sit, watch tv eat, eat a great meal, and get taken care of. Mind you this day can be busy and hectic, especially combined during happy hour(ends at 6:30), so if your not an easy going person and on a time crunch just come later on after 8. Regardless of how busy, they usually seem to have it down pat to where the bread, salads and meals come out steadily, and if not more bread in between! Now I understand people go the safe tasty route and would choose the caesar salad, but let me tell you, the house salad here is amazing! A citrusy vinegrette subtly blended on good greens with sunflower seeds, a few cherry tomatoes, a few kalamata olives, and one heart of palm slice. Only one time was the dressing mixture unbalanced and another where they forgot the olives, but as I mentioned the staff here is great and are quick to remedy things. As far as the entree choice, there are many, which I rotate on visit depending on my mood. They did add the chicken teriyaki bowl to this special menu, and let me tell you again, if you can't decide and want to try "something different" try it! Yes, it's just grilled chicken but its juicy and on top of tasty fried rice with two leaves of lettuce if you so desire to combine in a scooped up bite. Mango salsa on top goes well too, although I could do without the little white rice noodles. No extra comments on dessert, they are good and do the trick, but nothing out of this world. read more

There is a Bonefish in Boynton, whoop whoop! This Bonefish is very consistent with the food. We always order the bang bang shrimp to start off with or sometimes I order it as my entree. I'm glad they went back to serving it with lettuce. This is the perfect balance between getting fried saucy shrimp and some lettuce to make you feel like your still eating healthy. The bang bang shrimp is their top seller for appetizers. If it's your first time going there make sure you order it. I used to like ordering their seared tuna appetizer however, I felt like I over ordered it and had enough of it. Now days my new favorite is shrimp pad Thai. They use a sweet and tangy sauce which makes it very unique in taste. In desserts my all time favorite is the macadamia nut brownie. I really like this location because it's bigger than Coral Springs and Boca location. They have out door seating which lets you seat on a first comes first serve basis just like the high tops at the bar. Their reservation system is not the greatest because you still have to wait 10-15 minutes with reservation so it's better trying to sit outdoors or at the bar. Overall, I would recommend bonefish grill.~ read more
Brunch at Bonefish?! Yea buddy. I came in here years ago for dinner and I can't remember what I got. It might have been chicken alfredo or something on the lines of it since I'm not into seafood that much. When I saw that Bonefish has a endless bubbles brunch, I put it on my list to check out some day. That some day was finally today. I met a friend of mine and we had a delicious Sunday brunch. I'm assuming not a lot of people know that the restaurant serves brunch because it wasn't crowded. I dig that part. There are lots of places that are over crowded during that magical time and it's ok for a once in a while thing. We had a reservation and we were seated very quickly after arrival. The endless bubbles brunch offered only on Sundays includes a choice of eggs benedict, omelette, or brunch favorite with an endless blackberry sangria, peach bellini, or the traditional mimosa. You can have the same drink or you can get all three. I went for the eggs benedict on two toasted English muffins topped with smoked ham, Hollandaise sauce, and poached eggs with a side of potatoes au gratin. I was in France and England at the time I was eating this meal. More like France since I gulped down those potatoes. It was ridiculously good. Our waitress checked on us periodically and we had our table filled with drinks and food the entire time. The staff was friendly and it was an overall good experience for brunch. The price was fairly reasonable for 20 bucks. I'm not sure if I'll pop in here for lunch or dinner any time soon, but it's a guarantee return for brunch! read more

Bonefish Grill was my favorite Restaurant. I love the food, but on this night the customer service did not accommodate me at all! We found a roach in our food and it completely shut us down from eating. I understand we live in South Florida and these things happen. However, we were not offered an adequate gift card for this deplorable experience. The manager Azele was short and dismissive. He stated this happens all the time which was a complete surprise. He offered me a 25 dollar gift which would be enough to cover one of our meals if we did decide to come back. Overall, I will not be back to bonefish again! read more
This was on a Thurs night around 8 pm. A call assured me that there was no waiting time. Restaurant was half empty. We were shown a small table for two. To my dismay, I asked for a larger table, since there were so many to choose. We opted for a booth by the window. Our server came promptly to take our drink order and returned just as quickly to take our food order. Seared Tuna with 2 sides and Grilled Scallops and Shrimp with 2 sides. Let's talk about the sides. My augratin potatoes were cheesy and soft topped with a slight crunch of crumbs. I could eat that all night. My side of broccoli was mushy, crumbly and overcooked. The second entree came with coleslaw. It was dry and tasteless. So, it was replaced with an order of broccoli. That came out cooked perfectly. So, I replaced my mushy ones as well. Sides should enhance the meal. These were dragging the main attractions down. Now for the entrees. The scallops were grilled okay, but my shrimp was just a tad bit overcooked. The tails had a difficult time coming off. The Seared Tuna was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Entrees didn't seem too filling. Good thing for the endless bread and olive oil dip. Server was polite and sufficient. Towards the middle of our meal, I remembered that I ordered a bowl of corn chowder to share. It never aryived. When mentioned to the waiter, he admitted forgetting to put that in. What?? With a couple of oops, I thought something should've been offered for the disappointments. He did not offer . We were too tired to complain. read more

I started going to this Bonefish since it first opened and the service has been great. The food here is a mix of seafood, steak and delicious sides. My go to is always Lily's Chicken and if you're a goat cheese lover this is a must. I definitely recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp because it is amazing! read more
