Celebrated my friend's birthday with another friend and enjoyed wonderful meals and service by Weston. The Haddock with asparagus was delightful! Can't say I was impressed. We waited over 35 minutes for our food to be brought to the table and it arrived ice cold. Inexcusable! It must have been sitting in the kitchen waiting. Everything was sent back to be heated and was not much better when redelivered. Leftovers were taken home and will probably not be eaten. The celebrated Bang Bang Shrimp was underwhelming. The sauce was barely spicy and had a texture that was off-putting. The shrimp were crunchy without the sauce, and actually tasted better without it. I had the Cod Imperial. One of the starred entries on the menu. Very disappointing. Sat heavy in my stomach and had no desire to finish. Maybe if it had been served hot, like it should have been, it could have been better. My husband and I came here for a late brunch on Sunday afternoon, and since we didn't have the kiddos with us we decided to go sit at the bar since it wasn't relatively busy. We were greeted by the bartender after a few minutes, I ordered the Bacon Bloody Mary off the brunch menu, and my husband ordered a Jai Ali. I was excited about the bacon in my Bloody Mary, but unfortunately my mimosa came without it. When I asked the bartender about it, he replied with "I didn't know you wanted the bacon one" which confused me because it's in the name lol! He then proceeded to reach behind him with his bare hand, grab a piece of bacon and throw it on my plate in-front of me . Moving on we order the new crab meat bang bang fries and the Thai chili green beans! They came out quickly and they were DELICIOUS! Especially the crab fries, Omgosh yum! We haven't been to a Bonefish in a few years and we wanted some good fish so decided to go. It was just the most average and ho-hum meal we have had in a long time. The signature bang-bang shrimp? Not sure where the bang was. Soup was nothing special. One fish meal was dry and tasteless and the other just awful. We were seated immediately, and proceeded to order a bottle of Pinot. Noir, service was prompt and excellent. We had two appetizers, one of Brussels sprouts and the other of the peel n eat shrimp. both were delectable and mega yummy, entrées were the jumbo large fried shrimp with french fries, garlic roll, and an order of salmon, and an order of trout. A Tuesday night, not crowded and quiet. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The bang bang shrimp, fried calamari, and chowder were all fine. However, the scallops and shrimp skewer was a real looser. The menu promises firm texture scallops, the dish did not deliver. In fact probably the worst scallops I have ever had. "Fortunately" the portion was very small. The only dish (out of four entrees) that was a winner was the pork chop which is a bit strange since this is a fish restaurant. Yes, the prices are moderate. Two stars is for service as it's not his fault but I have to say I haven't been here in a very long time but I won't be back. The food was just absolutely disgusting. As if they had microwaved my cod imperial. The fish was so hard on the outer edge That I couldn't even eat it. The bread is the best thing and we got bang bang shrimp, but you can get that just about anywhere. The dust and splatter on the picture hanging beside our table was nasty as if no one has ever cleaned before. This was a very good experience. Yes, Bonefish is a chain, but it's one of the. better chains. Because we frequent the one in Fort Lauderdale, we are active Dine Rewards members. Their loyalty program had sent me a birthday certificate to use for a free dessert or an order of bang bang shrimp. I decided to try my bang bang shrimp sautéed which I only recently learned you can request. I usually peel off the breading about half way through anyway. It was good, but the original is better. For my "entree" I ordered off the brunch menu. I chose their eggs Benedict which came with your choice of one side. Not thinking that there would be ham on the plate already, I ordered crispy bacon. The plate was huge. Two eggs cooked as ordered on top of the ham slices on top of thick toasted english muffin halves liberally topped with hollandaise sauce. It's not something I usually order, but was in the mood for. It was rich and very, very good. I took some of the ham and bacon home. My husband ordered from the lunch portion of the menu. He ordered fish and chips. Three large crispy cod fillets lightly battered were served steaming hot over a mound of well done French fries along with a cup of tater sauce, ketchup, and malt vinegar. Never will I ever order food from this location again. this is the second time I've placed an order for delivery and had an issue with my order. I get that orders might not be delivered correctly 100% of time buts it's the managers style of handling customer complaints that bothers me. The 1st time I had an issue I didn't write a bad review because I just figured The manager Brianna was having a bad day but this issue has just shown me this is her normal behavior when it comes to customer complaints. I placed 2 orders of bang bang shrimp with 2 sides of fries. The fries were not in the bag. I assumed the uber driver stole them which could be true but she also stated that she placed the fries in the bag herself and the bag was stapled. the bag shows absolutely no signs of being stapled shut. I asked her kindly to not raise her voice at me, I just wanted to have my issue resolved. I told her I will bring her the bag to show her as proof that it wasn't stapled (which could have given the driver easy access to take the fries) and she went on and on in an unprofessional manner. I am frequently here for Happy Hr b/c it is until 6:30 everyday! The bar fills pretty quickly and the staff there are always friendly and mix good cocktails. I made a last minute reservation and was able to get in. It was during their BOGO on the entrees a few months back. I always look forward to their fall menu, specifically the sword fish and pumpkin ravioli and when I saw it was that time, we decided to take advantage of the coupon. When we got there, they were backed up, which they told me could have happened on the phone. No big deal, we went outside and waited. While we were waiting, someone brought bang bang shrimp by so we wouldn't, "starve while we waited." That stood out and I really appreciated a few bites of the shrimp because I was hungry and it took the edge off. Plus, that just shows that they were sincerely sorry about the wait with a reservation. So A+ from the beginning. We were finally seated and ordered their crab dip, which was delivered quickly and was super cheesy- lactose intolerance be damned! We really enjoyed it, but it was super filling. So keep that in mind if you decide to order it. Finally, our entrees arrived, he had a fish that was really good and my sword fish and pumpkin shenanigans did not disappoint! I don't know if it is still on the menu, but if so make sure to get it, or if not, wait until next year to get it! It really is worth the suspense! We wanted to order dessert, but we were so full from dinner. Our server was great with the recommendations and further explanation of the menu.
