Tonight 11/8/2024 I ordered the Apple Pecan Salad. The description on the menu reads: wood-grilled chicken, sweet and tangy vinaigrette, goat cheese, bacon, candied pecans, diced apple, topped with cinnamon wontons. This was the most "challenging" salad I've ever had! First, I couldn't find ONE pecan. Second, the bacon, apples, pecans were SO tiny that if I WAS able to get any on my fork, they just fell through the tines of the fork. Maybe eating my salad with a spoon would have gathered all the miniscule ingredients. So disappointing. read more

Celebrated my friend's birthday with another friend and enjoyed wonderful meals and service by Weston. The Haddock with asparagus was delightful! The Shrimp Skewer with Brussels Sprouts was mouth-watering! The Rock Butterfish just melted in my friend's mouth! And the Strawberry Chocolate Bliss was a perfect finish to our excellent celebration. I stopped by here for a quick dinner with a friend . My waiters name was wess and he's the only reason there's an additional star. He was really fast , sweet and eased my annoyance with the food. Can't say I was impressed. We waited over 35 minutes for our food to be brought to the table and it arrived ice cold. Inexcusable! It must have been sitting in the kitchen waiting. Everything was sent back to be heated and was not much better when redelivered. Leftovers were taken home and will probably not be eaten. The celebrated Bang Bang Shrimp was underwhelming. The sauce was barely spicy and had a texture that was off-putting. The shrimp were crunchy without the sauce, and actually tasted better without it. I had the Cod Imperial. One of the starred entries on the menu. Very disappointing. Sat heavy in my stomach and had no desire to finish. Maybe if it had been served hot, like it should have been, it could have been better. The other people in my party also had issues with the temperature of their meals and only ate about 50% of their food. As helpful as the waiter was, he could only do so much. My husband and I came here for a late brunch on Sunday afternoon, and since we didn't have the kiddos with us we decided to go sit at the bar since it wasn't relatively busy. We were greeted by the bartender after a few minutes, I ordered the Bacon Bloody Mary off the brunch menu, and my husband ordered a Jai Ali. I was excited about the bacon in my Bloody Mary, but unfortunately my mimosa came without it. When I asked the bartender about it, he replied with "I didn't know you wanted the bacon one" which confused me because it's in the name lol! He then proceeded to reach behind him with his bare hand, grab a piece of bacon and throw it on my plate in-front of me . Moving on we order the new crab meat bang bang fries and the Thai chili green beans! They came out quickly and they were DELICIOUS! Especially the crab fries, Omgosh yum! Sunday night's dinner at Bonefish Grill in Boynton Beach was absolutely astounding. The atmosphere was cool, refreshing and very pleasant. The hostess could not have been more polite. We were seated immediately, and proceeded to order a bottle of Pinot. Noir, service was prompt and excellent. We had two appetizers, one of Brussels sprouts and the other of the peel n eat shrimp. both were delectable and mega yummy, entrées were the jumbo large fried shrimp with french fries, garlic roll, and an order of salmon, and an order of trout. All three entrées were fantastic. Each of us sampled the other's, experience was glorious. We finished it off with a piece of Keylime cake. You are missing out if you don't partake in Bonefish Grill in Boynton Beach. read more

When eating at a chain restaurant I tend to lower my expectations. Nevertheless I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised, unfortunately not so. The meal started off on a good note. A Tuesday night, not crowded and quiet. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The bang bang shrimp, fried calamari, and chowder were all fine. However, the scallops and shrimp skewer was a real looser. The menu promises firm texture scallops, the dish did not deliver. In fact probably the worst scallops I have ever had. "Fortunately" the portion was very small. The only dish (out of four entrees) that was a winner was the pork chop which is a bit strange since this is a fish restaurant. Yes, the prices are moderate. We haven't been to a Bonefish in a few years and we wanted some good fish so decided to go. It was just the most average and ho-hum meal we have had in a long time. The signature bang-bang shrimp? Not sure where the bang was. Soup was nothing special. One fish meal was dry and tasteless and the other just awful. The "Oscar" part of the meal should have stopped at "0s" as it definitely fell quite short of any we had in the past. The potatoes and rice were okay, but we came for the fish. This was a very good experience. Yes, Bonefish is a chain, but it's one of the. better chains. Because we frequent the one in Fort Lauderdale, we are active Dine Rewards members. Their loyalty program had sent me a birthday certificate to use for a free dessert or an order of bang bang shrimp. As we were shopping in the area, we decided to stop here for lunch, and use my certificate before it expired. Not all Bonefish Grills are open for lunch, btw. This place was pretty busy during lunch time. It might be because of the demo graphics in the area, where older diners eat earlier or eat a bigger meal for lunch and take their leftovers home for dinner. Not sure. We sat at the bar and had very good service. Their menu had starters, and brunch items as well as lunch selections plus some more expensive dinner/type items, as well. I decided to try my bang bang shrimp sautéed which I only recently learned you can request. I usually peel off the breading about half way through anyway. It was good, but the original is better. For my "entree" I ordered off the brunch menu. I chose their eggs Benedict which came with your choice of one side. Not thinking that there would be ham on the plate already, I ordered crispy bacon. The plate was huge. Two eggs cooked as ordered on top of the ham slices on top of thick toasted english muffin halves liberally topped with hollandaise sauce. It's not something I usually order, but was in the mood for. It was rich and very, very good. I took some of the ham and bacon home. My husband ordered from the lunch portion of the menu. He ordered fish and chips. Three large crispy cod fillets lightly battered were served steaming hot over a mound of well done French fries along with a cup of tater sauce, ketchup, and malt vinegar. As if they had microwaved my cod imperial. The fish was so hard on the outer edge That I couldn't even eat it. The bread is the best thing and we got bang bang shrimp, but you can get that just about anywhere. The dust and splatter on the picture hanging beside our table was nasty as if no one has ever cleaned before. Never will I ever order food from this location again. this is the second time I've placed an order for delivery and had an issue with my order. I get that orders might not be delivered correctly 100% of time buts it's the managers style of handling customer complaints that bothers me. The 1st time I had an issue I didn't write a bad review because I just figured The manager Brianna was having a bad day but this issue has just shown me this is her normal behavior when it comes to customer complaints. I placed 2 orders of bang bang shrimp with 2 sides of fries. The fries were not in the bag. I assumed the uber driver stole them which could be true but she also stated that she placed the fries in the bag herself and the bag was stapled. the bag shows absolutely no signs of being stapled shut. I asked her kindly to not raise her voice at me, I just wanted to have my issue resolved. I told her I will bring her the bag to show her as proof that it wasn't stapled (which could have given the driver easy access to take the fries) and she went on and on in an unprofessional manner. I am frequently here for Happy Hr b/c it is until 6:30 everyday! The bar fills pretty quickly and the staff there are always friendly and mix good cocktails. I made a last minute reservation and was able to get in. It was during their BOGO on the entrees a few months back. I always look forward to their fall menu, specifically the sword fish and pumpkin ravioli and when I saw it was that time, we decided to take advantage of the coupon. When we got there, they were backed up, which they told me could have happened on the phone. No big deal, we went outside and waited. While we were waiting, someone brought bang bang shrimp by so we wouldn't, "starve while we waited." That stood out and I really appreciated a few bites of the shrimp because I was hungry and it took the edge off. Plus, that just shows that they were sincerely sorry about the wait with a reservation. So A+ from the beginning. We were finally seated and ordered their crab dip, which was delivered quickly and was super cheesy- lactose intolerance be damned! We really enjoyed it, but it was super filling. So keep that in mind if you decide to order it. Finally, our entrees arrived, he had a fish that was really good and my sword fish and pumpkin shenanigans did not disappoint! I don't know if it is still on the menu, but if so make sure to get it, or if not, wait until next year to get it! It really is worth the suspense! We wanted to order dessert, but we were so full from dinner. Our server was great with the recommendations and further explanation of the menu. He was also quick to get us what we needed and the experience was positive. I often forget about Bone Fish even though I can walk there from home, so I appreciated that they ran this special. I would have to say this was the most disappointing meal I have had, since moving to Florida in 2003. While the server, Keyshawn, was very good; the food was truly awful. The Medium Rare steak was: 1. Medium Well 2. Fatty 3. clearly not the size promised 4. Came out cold. The french fries were scarce and the Cole Slaw with vinegar had passed its time since the vinegar was sour. I asked for our server and the Manager, the Manager never showed up. As I read most of the YELP reviews, it seems the last few months, the comments are consistently and often representative of the same issues. Several have commented on portion size. Why be skimpy on French Fries? This was my aunts 97th Birthday. By the time she finished her meal, my redone Filet steak had not appeared yet. How long did it take? She was 98 by the time we left. He even waited to take our order while we entertained ourselves by arguing. He made a U turn away from us 3times. Now my husband's dish was disappointing the cod although tasty portion wise has been cut back quite a bit since the last time we were here and he ordered green beans instead of fries and we counted 8 strings of beans. Ok we give up on this location. The fish is cooked perfectly , 5 stars for the fish, but the portion is so small. They forgot the lemon and malt vinegar.
