Came here on a Friday night with my in-laws and it was packed! Food was good and came out fairly quickly. We really enjoyed the bang bang shrimp, calamari, and parmesan crusted trout. The beef and ginger potstickers were drenched in what I assume is soy sauce - it was way too salty. Our server was attentive as he could be given how busy they were. The only down side which started off the night on a sour note was that despite having a reservation we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table. read more

What happened to this place? Out of tuna and mahi. Lettuce in the salad was not fresh. Too bad it was good at one time

This is some of the WORST food ever!!!! I ordered the two lobsters tail dinner with veggies and Mac and cheese with a house salad and an appetizer of crab cakes. The crab cakes had absolutely no flavor of crab just filler. The pieces of crab I picked out of the crab cake were the texture of an eraser. Both of the lobster tails were overcooked. One of them had a strong odor and tasted sour . For the price of the food, one would expect better quality. read more

Okay. I've done an earlier review of this location. We wanted to give it another shot. We ordered pick up last night. Simple order. We followed the process and arrived only to sit outside for 15 minutes waiting for the food to be brought out. I noticed other cars waiting but no food being delivered. I went inside only to find it sitting on the order pickup rack by the host area, along with other orders. Three people were standing there doing nothing. I told them we'd been sitting outside and had texted our arrival, and they just stared at me. One young man grabbed a bag and said here it is. No apologies, nothing. I went outside and told the other people waiting that they better go inside. Once home, the food was obviously cold, but it was also bland and overcooked badly. I've had better cafeteria food. I suggest the manager shore up operations quickly and speak to your cooks about food prep. This is three meals in a row for us. And at $75 for one meal of a chicken breast and two sides, and the other a piece of salmon with a veggie and extremely dried out rice, that's not good. Not to mention, you automatically add a tip, which is usually fine, but not for me to drive and pick it up? And they don't even bring it out? Hate to write this review, but I hope it helps the manager see a progression in the food and service. Oh! One other thing. I got the order at 7 pm. At 9:02 I got a text saying your food is almost ready for pickup. Sigh. read more

I decided to try them out since I live in the area. Upon arrival, we were seated(I made reservations). Very nice ambiance inside . I ordered the Atlantic Salmon with whipped potatoes and jasmine rice. I also got the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer. Oddly , my main course came out before the appetizer but I was still very pleased. The wait time was less than 20 for both of the dishes to come out. The salmon was okay , just needed a little more flavor. The bang bang shrimp was mouth watering!! I combined it with my salmon and was able to enjoy the whole meal. I also decided to try their apple martini and it was good but I didn't taste any liquor I would still recommend to friends and family ! read more

So I was looking forward to come back to this place since my yelp elite event back in the fall. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked back then. So I made a reservation for our anniversary for last night. We arrived on time and we were sat immediately. The place was full but not packed either for a Friday night. Our waiter came and got our drink order. We ordered the potstickers and they were delicious. Salty and tasty! I wanted the salmon so I ordered the one on the daily specials which was wood grilled. The flavor was on point but it was cooked on the very well done side which was kind of a disappointment. I prefer the salmon medium well/medium. I was looking forward to being cooked perfectly like last time. The mashed potatoes and green beans were very good. My husband had the risotto Del Mar and the flavor was amazing!! I tried some and I really liked it. But the jumbo shrimps were way over cooked which again was a disappointment especially when you go to a seafood restaurant and they mess up the cooking process. Plus this restaurant is more on the pricey side which you tend to expect perfection when cooking seafood. The waiter took forever to come back after we got our entrees and we were ready for another drink and we had to wait to almost being done with our meals. The cheesecake was very flavorful! A bit small but we still managed to share it. Maybe I'll try again and give it another chance and hopefully the fish is cooked to perfection! read more

Victoria was absolutely excellent. She provided us with great service and wonderful suggestions. We asked her opinion for drinks, appetizers, entrees and desert- went with all of her suggestions and they were spot on. Thank you for giving me a great birthday dinner, Victoria! read more

I've Never had a bad meal at Bonefish Grill until today. Been going there for over 5 years and the Bang Bang shrimp were always amazing. Today they were ok but not as great as usual. The calamari was good until a few of the pieces tasted really bad. Had to send the order back. My halibut was dry. The very best part of my meal was the white sangria and the fresh bread. All in all, it was enough of a disappointment that it will be a very long time before I make that 20 minute drive again. I found it odd that at 7 PM on Saturday night, the tables were more than 1/2 empty. read more

I went to Bonefish Grill after work with friends. We went on Tuesday because we knew they had dinner specials. We started at the bar with drinks and appetizers on the happy hour menu. I got the blueberry lemon drop martini. I liked this drink. It was very tasty. We also got the cure, which is French fries topped with cheese and shrimp. It was delicious. We moved to the dinner seating area and picked items from the three course Tuesday special menu. I decided to try another cocktail. This time I got the Tropical Tiki Martini. I thought this drink was a little sweet, but it was nice. I decided to get a Caesar salad, lobster bisque, salmon with lobster Mac n cheese, cheese scalloped potatoes, and cheesecake for desert. The lobster bisque was ok but I've tasted much better. The salmon was a little over cooked and the lobster Mac n cheese was just ok. The scalloped potatoes were good and the cheesecake was good too. I think the Tuesday special is a great idea and will be back for happy hour or dinner. read more

My wife and I had dinner at the Allen Location a couple of weeks ago. One of our appetizers had a HUGE hair in it (Disgusting). Manager came over apologized and blamed it on the morning food prep crew. Took the appetizer charge of our bill but nothing else, ordered drinks before the appetizer arrided but left without touching them although they made us pay. WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN! read more

Bonefish grill has always been amazing. I've frequented this restaurant several times around the country and one thing they have down packed is consistency. I visited this location for a Yelp Elite Event and was expecting to have a couple of items to sample as passed appetizers in a dining room with casual conversation; what I didn't expect was a 4 course meal with champagne and wine---WHAT! (Ohh to be a Yelp Elite). We had the bang-bang shrimp, a salad with a house dressing that was amazing and Salmon with Scallops and broccoli/mashed potatoes for our main course. Yall, as always, it was amazing. Top that off with A1 service, cheescake for dessert and being given gift cards to return for a future visit--yeah, I love this place. If you haven't tried it, GO and you won't go wrong eating their crab fried rice, crabcakes or steaks either. The place is very legit! read more

We decided to order from Bonefish because they were 1 of the few places offering delivery during the snow storm. With it being Valentine's Day, we were also excited to get our grub on with some good food. What a severe disappointment. By the time the food arrived, it was cold and had to be microwaved. The portions were laughable. My side of fries was the equivalent of what you'd find at the bottom of a fast-food bag and they were overly salty. The side of "seasonal vegetables" was unseasoned broccoli. 1 vegetable, not many like it leads you to believe. The only thing my meal had going for it was the steak, but again, that was cold since it would've been tricky to reheat it without making it chewy. It's also questionable whether or not I got the correct oz of steak since mine was significantly smaller than my husband's who ordered the same size. My husband's food seemed to be "okay," but he's been on the toilet since dinner ended so something's obviously amiss. His food was also cold and not well-portioned at all. The mash potatoes looked like someone took 1 heap using a baby spoon. Overall, I regret ordering from here. Tiny portions at a stupid price and cold food that won't settle well. read more

The restaurant was 90% empty on Superbowl Sunday. The food served has the feeling of mainstream food so not the highest quality or taste but definitely edible. I had the rainbow trout which was heavily seasoned which may appeal to some, but was not dimensional enough to me. Portion size is modest. The mashed potatoes were tasty. Calamari was oversalted. I liked the bang bang shrimp best. My father had the hamburger. He liked it but he doesn't eat out often so it was a treat for him. My mother had the mixed grill with mahi and shrimp. She liked it okay but wasn't overly impressed. If you're in a pinch for a mainstream seafood restaurant that doesn't break the bank, I think this a fine option. It's not something I would go out of my way to visit again. Service was nice. read more

I went here tonight to celebrate my birthday. The service was slow and the waitress was rude, condescending, and couldn't answer the simplest questions about the menu. when called out on her poor service and having to have managers involved, she became even more combative and verbally abusive. She ended her subpar service with a sarcastic "happy birthday". I have never had a worse experience. Avoid Victoria. read more

Don't waste your money! I ordered a grilled shrimp Florida salad with mango's and it was pathetic! The shrimp wasn't even cooked much less grilled and the rest of the ingredients were below any expectations anyone could have. I had coconut pie for dessert and it was hard and stale! I will not be back! I've been to locations in other states and have never had a bad experience like this. read more

Lunch today was pretty blah. My "blackened" Baja fish tacos were pretty tasteless, and the side salad was so bland that I poured the seasoned bread dipping oil over it with little improvement. You know if you really like a place if you are willing to drive two cities over to go for dinner. Yes folks, it's true, I left the city lines of Richardson to head north of Plano to Allen, TX just for dinner at Bonefish Grill. Was it worth it? Absolutely. This is a classy joint, so shed the shorts for the day. The wait staff are professionals with the menu memorized, and will offer personal suggestions if asked. Food and drinks are delivered to the table in a timely manner. There is no milling around eating endless bread and oil waiting (but it's available if you want to snack) for the next course, nor do all of the courses arrive at the same time. Our water glasses were always filled and the service was never obtrusive. By the way, be sure to try one of their craft cocktails. I went for the watermelon martini. It was cool, sweet, and refreshing. I especially enjoyed the frozen chunk of watermelon garnish swimming on the edge of my glass. My husband "doesn't drink", except when I order something like this, and well, it was quick race to the bottom of the barrel. Everyone raves about the Bang Bang Shrimp. FYI, I don't eat shrimp...EVER, but I suggested my husband order it because you'll never see these underwater cockroaches prepared in our home. It was supposed to be a special treat for him, but somehow I ended up "sampling" more of these lightly fried crustaceans than he did. Do yourself a favor, start with the Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer. It's quite filling and damn...it was delicious! We both chose a 3-course meal. I went for the ahi steak which was good, but why did they drown it in sauce and slaw? Fine steak doesn't need to be dressed up. My husband did a surf and turf with a lovely lobster tail. We both chose the overwhelming, cooked spinach for one of our sides. I opted for the broccoli, and he chose green beans for our second sides. The green beans were a bit rubbery, and they didn't do a very good job of de-threading the green bean spine. Dessert was divine! Michael offered to share his macadamia nut brownie, but I wasn't falling for that trick. I wanted Jen's Jamaican Coconut Pie doused in rum all to myself. read more

Food was good and consistent with what we have come to expect at Bonefish. We sat in the bar area, and sadly, the service was really lacking. The server only had three tables at the time but was clearly overwhelmed. He was a nice kid, but it took 30 minutes for us to get our first two drinks from the bar. My husband later requested a second drink and that took a long time as well. Food came out in timely manner as kitchen support was bringing things out, but poor service can really detract from an evening out. (We could hear the table next to us grumbling about waiting for their drinks as well.) I had hoped a manager would stop by the table to check on us but no one ever did. read more

I moved to the area 2 years ago and just now experienced Bonefish! I can't believe it took us so long. The atmosphere was upscale yet casual, service by Eddie was great. The imperial dip was rich, hot, and cheesy....so good!! I enjoyed the swordfish special and my husband had the butterfish special catch of the day. Both dishes were served hot and the portions were a good size. The only negative is the Mac and cheese needed a touch more salt. We also split a Caesar salad and it was brought out split from the kitchen which was nice. The key lime cake was awesomely not too sweet with an essence of key lime. I would rather graham cracker crumbs instead of toasted coconut but it was still good. read more

No seasoning on the meat, the fish, brocolli at all. Actually the worst Tenderloin I have ever had. Salad was ok. NO bread served and customer service was lacking. It was a group meeting and anyone thinking of having one here, don't. We had never been to a Bone Fish and would not even consider going back. There are too many choices out there to consider and they should try to give service and quality to want you to come back instead of stay away. You have to work pretty hard to mess up a tenderloin. Fish was tastless as well. Glad they had salt and pepper to add some seasoning. Seriously. The food was just pitifully bland. Pay attention to the latest reviews. Nuff said. read more

Bonefish Grill is always wonderful. I had the Cod Imperial which is very rich and decadent. It's stuffed with shrimp and crab and mozzarella and has a lemon caper butter sauce. Delicious. If I could give 100 stars I would! This past weekend I decided to dine in on a Saturday night. The establishment was pretty busy but there wasn't much of a wait time. I decided to seat myself in the bar area. I had the best Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer... I had the pleasure of having two servers take care of me. I had an issue with my salad but the MOD Bret came over and took no time having me another one remade. We went there for lunch. This was the third time we had dined here. It was a special occasion which we stated in the reservation, but they did not even mention it when we were there. A greeting and acknowledgment would have been nice. We were seated promptly. The booth we had was quite uncomfortable. The seat tilted forward, there wasn't much belly space (and I'm not a big person). The seat back was short and stiff. Our server was nice but seemed extremely inexperienced. You could tell he was reciting from a memorized script. Quite an unnatural delivery. The food arrived promptly. Our crab cakes were delicious as we remembered. I ordered the ahi poke bowl. It was delicious but rather spartan of things. Basically consisted of rice, cucumber, few lettuce pieces, tuna cubes, and some sauce drizzled on it. No sesame, seaweed, nothing like you'd get from a poke place. While tasty, it was quite underwhelming for the price. Our party also ordered corn chowder and steak & lobster. Both were delicious but we had to remind them of the potatoes that we ordered with the meal. Lastly, they used to offer a gluten free dinner roll in lieu of the bread for those who can't eat gluten. Sadly, they no longer offer that. The food was delicious, service was ok. This used to be our go-to local place for special occasions. They certainly didn't make it feel special today. read more

A gem in Allen for food and service since 2016 when Bonefish Grill was S.R.O. for a few years. Performance that was gold and silver is showing tarnishes the last couple of tough years; paradoxically, the competition has increased within this price-point. The dining room and especially the bar area are both expertly served and enjoyed by many area regulars, some are brand investors caring about the business success for all involved. Food and service remain my favorite at their price-point and aren't this review's topic. Guests aren't coming here to surf the internet but do desire wi-fi along with their Surf and Turf. In late 2023, this Bonefish Grill added wi-fi for guests at probably big operating expense. Heard too often is that their open wi-fi "works and is available"; however, guests regularly report an I.T. access problem using either iPhones or Androids. This Bonefish Grill is located at the high-traffic intersection of Stacy Rd. and N. Central Expy, adjacent to shopping centers in Fairview and Allen, plus an outlet mall. Here, the cell phone density may often consume the overtaxed local cell tower's bandwidth or capacity. Businesses utilizing their private dining room for client or sales meetings - remember to bring pens and paper. Well liked is the bar area containing two modest-sized monitors which is fine since this isn't a sports bar. What's less than acceptable is intermittent satellite reception due to low signal-strength. A cost-free improvement and satellite vendor's remedy might be a dish alignment, or possibly an equipment refresh. Last year's hail-storm beat-up satellite equipment too, maybe a roofer leaned on it some other year. Take care of this, it's been neglected for more than one or two years. Providing guest wi-fi and satellite programming isn't satisfactory if it's nonfunctional or interruptive of the dining experience. Restaurants can provide good food, drinks, service AND wi-fi or TV which were two commonly available side-dishes long before 2024. Also notable, after years of operation, the bathrooms could be painted and refreshed but definitely need professional weekly deep cleaning. Opportunity is abundant; however, managers can't simply remain cavalier to guest satisfaction. Milking the same cash cow daily isn't competitive in this area's restaurant market. read more

Oh goodness this place is the PRIME reason you should give a place a second try. After my initial visit I found myself back at Bonefish for a special event (March 2017) and was blown out of the water by the food, ingredients used, and drink offerings. I swear it was like a brand new restaurant! I've since been back three times and it's my go-to place when I have a night to myself (no kiddos) or date night with my hubby. The bartender is no joke, he/she is an artist and the mixed drinks are top notch. I usually stick to wine, but Bonefish made me change my tune and I cannot get enough of their seasonal martinis. I dream about their BangBang Shrimp and Doughnuts. AND this place is not just a Seafood joint, their Wagyu Beef sliders are no joke. The Teriyaki Chicken Bowl & Seasonal Vegetable Pasta has been calling my name and I can't wait to try it. PLEASE give this place a try. I PROMISE you will not regret it! And with the weather cooling down do yourself a favor and sit on the patio, it's divine. A+ service A+ food quality A+ portion size A+ drinks options & ingredients A+ atmosphere read more

We had the salmon salad, ahi tuna bowl, and fish (Atlantic Cod) and chips (sub mashed potatoes). Each entree was generously portioned with a nice presentation and tasted great.
