My daughter loves Bonefish and we stopped by to treat her for lunch. She is obsessed with the bread and herb oil and it is always delicious. We ordered bang bang chicken and they accidentally brought the shrimp (which I totally get because it's usually how it comes, but my husband can't eat shrimp) our waitress was really sweet and quickly fixed it and she took it off our bill even though we told her it was not a big deal at all. First of all, the bread is amazing and the olive oil that's served with the bread is flavorful and pairs well with the bread. The Imperial Wahoo is on their seasonal menu and was served with rice and broccoli. Everything was seasoned perfectly so no need to add salt or pepper. Worst experience- we will never go back. Bonefish in Allen has been one of our top favorite restaurants for many years. We've always had great service and food. However, we went thursday 10/1/26, we dressed our best and walked in ready for a great time. The hostess asked if we wanted a table, we specified booth. She looked around (the place was basicly empty from the weather) and she asked again if we wanted a table. So we AGAIN specifically said booth. We found this odd but didn't think of it until everything else fell apart. They then proceeded to place us at a booth in the back of the restaurant, when there were ample seating options elsewhere. Then came our waitress. I've never seen someone not care so much. She had an I don't give a f look in her face, she reached over my friends plate and cup several times without announcing herself so he had to lean back and stop eating. The bread was cold. I got the swordfish with pumpkin ravioli and broccoli. The fish was super smelly. Not typical for that dish. There was juice all over my plate, which tainted my broccoli to taste and smell like old fish. My ravioli was ok but should have been in a separate dish with all that gross fish juice. My friends steak was a joke. They gave him a crappy cut, and their version of blackened would be anyone else's barely touching the grill, sure it had a few grill marks but it was far from blackened. He also got new potatoes and they may as well been mashed potatoes and they were unseasoned! He had to add salt! We are not overseason people so that was shocking. His salad was also wilted. We got out of there as quickly as we could, the hostess gave us a crappy smile. I've never been so disappointed in bonefish in my life. We will never be going back here, we will take our business to Texas roadhouse for a quality steak and peice of salmon next time, or cheesecake factory. For the appetizers = Bang Bang Shrimp and Blackened Chicken Egg Rolls = GREAT! I had trout for the first time (Rainbow Trout with Lemon Caper Butter, Asparagus, and Garlic Whipped Potatoes). I don't remember what everyone else got - but everything was wonderful! The waiter ~ Nick G ~ was GREAT! On Saturday, 10/18, I went back with some friends after a church event. We had the same appetizers. I got the Dynamite Salmon on Dinner Special Menu (think that's what it was called) - it was FANTASTIC (picture attached). Watermelon Martini- 3.5 STARS...This martini was good. A fresh taste of summer. It comes with two watermelon cubes. The vodka is cucumber and it's refreshing. I just wish it had a tad bit more watermelon flavor. Lychee Martini- 4 STARS...This Martini was yummy and delicious. You could definitely taste the Lychee flavor. I really enjoyed this one My mom had her usual cocktail the coconut crush and enjoyed it. She gave it 5 STARS! Service 4 STARS-The staff was pleasant and our waitress was nice. Never have tried this restaurant before and called ahead for information and was told one thing was no problem and when we arrived to dine we were told something else entirely by the server and when we requested a manager he came up with another story and refused to accommodate us. We will not be returning because if you can't rely on what is being conveyed to you before arriving and then other excuses being made after, how can anyone know what is happening in the kitchen? Now this place is offering lunch deals that also seem worrisome. I assume the food is frozen discounted items imported from Asia. We ordered to-go before we got to our hotel. We selected the mussels in the white wine garlic sauce to share. My fiancé ordered the sirloin and shrimp plate. His two sides were the broccoli and Cole slaw. I ordered the trout from the grill with mango salsa, whipped mashed potatoes and broccoli. They gave us the crispy cauliflower initially in the place of the broccoli. We told the hostess that we did not order that but they let us keep it anyway. I wish I ordered a different fish. The trout was butterflied and made it very thin. And because it was so thin, it came out dry when they grilled it, and got even more dry when I had to heat it up in our room. It used the mango salsa on top hoping it would give it some moisture but that didn't correct the dryness. The fish also needed more seasoning (like blackened). The sides were good and I really enjoyed the mussels. Their coleslaw came as a dry cabbage salad with a "sauce" on the side. It was not what I expected for coleslaw but that sauce they use on it was very good! It was a pleasant surprise. The sauce that came with the crispy cauliflower was good too. read more

My rating is 3.5 stars and the dining experience as a whole average down to this. The service, location, and menu prices are excellent, but the execution on our main entree was disappointing. My brother, who uber eat his steak meal from here, said it tasted better delivered than dining in. I was so sad to hear that his steak was burnt and cooked well done which he did not enjoy at all. He was shocked and was not in the mood to complain during this Xmas season. My meal on the other hand was cooked fine but it lacked flavor. There was nothing spectacular about it. The bacon mac and cheese tasted plain, the steak and mashed potatoes were OK. I did not like the house merlot but I did like my old fashion. The winter Cranberry cosmo was great along with the pomegranate martini which I got a few sips of each. The key lime cake was different and unique to try. I'll stick to the pie but I had fun trying something new and never saw anyone offer it as a cake. The bang bang shrimp was tasty and it was a solid appetizer. The service was great from start to finish and I was impressed. I've never been to a Bone Fish Grill, even though we have them out in California, so I didn't know what to expect but the service was very attentive and I liked that the most. What happened? Food was terrible today. Haven't eaten here since great food in February, but everything is bad today.The grilled fish was overcooked. The asparagus were absolutely garbage, yellow and tough and shriveled. The broccoli was nasty looking some pieces were rotten and it had a rancid grease taste. This never happened previously over past 2 years. Something is wrong here! Maybe a new manager? Not returning until I get some answers.
