Pleasantly surprised was how we felt overall when we went for the first time today. Didn't know what to expect cuz the staff were all younger. And the ambience was vanilla. But, everyone was attentive. And the food! From the bang bang shrimp tacos to the street steak taco to the Mac "A"rrito, not to mention the crispy fries & the black beans... yum! A nice small place just on the outskirts of Whitehall. The inside is well designed to give and open space which feels bigger than it is. They fit in a impressive amount of seating in small area. The kitchen is open to view and gets the food out at Food Truck speeds. I call the food style as a Bbq and Mexican fusion, not sure what they call it. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you as each dish is ready. The Menu is very yummy, making it hard to choose. I couldn't decide between the Monte Cristo ($9.50) and the Ricki Bobby Burrito ($12). So I chose both, mixed half and half, and had a 2nd meal for the next day. They were both excellent with high quality ingredients. The portion sizes were very good and cooked to perfection. I preferred the burrito, but that's no knock on the Monte. They also include a side with each meal. I got Texas Mac n Cheese and Double Fried Spuds. Both of the sides were very good, however the spuds were very salty. The person I was with got the Smoked Bbq Spare Ribs with Slaw ($15). She stated both were excellent. On a side note the next day meal reheated perfectly. The service was speedy and friendly, even when they got slammed. Overall an easy 5 star review. If your ever near Whitehall this should be a must stop. Will I return? Absolutely! Let me start by saying the Mac and cheese were my favorite. All and all the food was standard like Applebee's or red Robin. We had shrimp po-boy,cheese burger burrito, fries, and an elephant dessert. The service was like ordering a buffet and kinda confusing as to if we were being served or if we had to serve our selfs. Probably would have got a 4 star if the food was a touch more flavorful. Has booths and view of street dinner style restaurant. I would like to try it again, but I would like to order some different items and see if my review changes. read more

We were very pleased with our lunch stop at Bone Ends. We both got specials. The Jamaican Jerk tacos were delicious and filling. As was the Ricky Bobby burrito. It was supposed to have Mexican street corn slaw and avocado in it. Saw evidence of neither. But it was tasty all the same. The Mac and cheese side was great. But the black beans were incredibly mediocre. The only real miss. Food came out fast. Not terribly busy on a Saturday lunch. read more

Sorry, but at best I'd call this mediocre. If this were in a larger city it wouldn't exist for long. It may seen trendy or hip to some but all I see is barely edible cafeteria style food. I got the priciest taco, Steak carne asada. The flavor mix was unappealing and the steak was barely edible. My kids wouldn't even eat it. Tex-n-Mac?? It was worse than boxed Kraft mac n cheese. Brother had ribs.... he said they were just ok. My kids got kids meals that none of them finished. The "twice fried" French fries were chocked with grease and gross tasting. My kids who love fries barely ate any. The best thing about this place was the fountain drink.... same as anywhere else. We spent over $80 and left hungry. Excellent Tex-Mex spot! After spending a day at the dunes, this was the perfect spot to fill up and relax! I had the Tex-Mex French Dip which was amazing! The garlic aioli was perfect! Dade was the gentleman who greeted us as we walked in the door. He was very informative and polite. He answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations on his favorites and what other customers enjoy. We have never been here before. Their menu had a variety of options to choose from. I went with the Hog Sandwich and my husband got Ricki Bobby Burrito, both with the double fried spuds. Both meals had plenty of meat, the burrito was huge. We sat in the restaurant and ate. There wasn't much going on but the place was clean and loved the atmosphere. Dade asked if we needed any dipping sauces or extra bbq sauce. He then went above and beyond by bringing us some additional sauces he liked to use with his fries. The honey mustard and the garlic aioli were AMAZING. 10/10 will be coming back. Bone Ends is one of the few decent places to get some grub in Whitehall. I'm a huge fan of Cuban sandwiches, so having two on the menu adds a little variety to my go-to orders selections. Aside form Cubans, the pulled pork has been juicy every time. Side dishes are okay here, but it would be nice to see a few more options added. No complaints about pricing - it's exactly as it should be. I will be back again, and again, and again. read more

It's fast food! We always enjoy the ribs and coleslaw. Prices are good and the menu is simple which keeps things moving.

Short review: Fair to good food, moderate to high price, clean restaurant. Long review: restaurant was very clean, well lit, and arranged appropriately although there was a few tables very close to the cold entrance. Being a barbecue/smoked meat restaurant, I was expecting smoked brisket, pulled pork, and chicken along with typical sides of corn casserole, mac & cheese, cornbread, etc. However, the menu variety was fairly small with entrées consisting of only sandwiches and tacos, along with appetizers and sides. Our sandwiches were pretty good, the meat was flavored well and tender and juicy. Our appetizer, which consisted of fries with mac & cheese and pulled pork on top was pretty bland and dry. Overall I would say Bone Ends is a good place to go if you want something out of the ordinary pizza and burgers. However if you're looking for a true bbq/smoked meat place you will probably be disappointed. read more

Don't let the small town fool you, as the food here is spectacular. Never have I gone to such a clean restaurant. You can see the kitchen from the dining area, and they keep it very clean. The menus are on large tv's above the counter which I find pretty great, as the menus are large and easy to read even from a distance while waiting in line. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the food and how it's made. Everything is made from scratch and made to order. The "Double Fried Spuds" were phenomenal. The Mac-Daddy poutine is to die for. The Tex & Mac is creamy, peppery and bacon'y and everything a good mac & cheese should be. The number of different sauces they offer covers the full spectrum of sauce tastes. The prices are great, the portions are big and the food is great. Will gladly recommend to anyone. Thee worst!! The fish taco tasted like burnt grease. The fish itself was burnt and dry. The chicken cord on bleu sandwhich wad horrible! Chicken was so dry and tasted like burnt fish! My second (bad) experience here resulted in finding a piece of plastic in my Blind Side sandwich. I left a review on their Facebook page describing the food and leaving a photo of the plastic that I found. The owner of their Facebook page replied with a very rude comment, essentially denying that the plastic could have ever come from their restaurant instead of taking responsibility for their lack of attention to detail and safety. They also blocked me from making any further comments on their Facebook page. This is not only unprofessional but extremely dangerous of them to not accept responsibility when the large piece of sharp plastic could have easily cut my mouth. As for the actual food, both times ordering here have been bad. Their fryer oil is old and needs to be changed, resulting in dark soggy fries. Their chicken tenders were hard as a rock, dry and also very dark and had an old greasy taste. The Tex N Mac has an odd flavor of not being homemade. Ours tasted like canned nacho cheese thrown on top of really overcooked macaroni noodles. Everything that we ordered went directly into the garbage both times. After the first bad experience they offered a gift card to come back and give them another shot and that is when I found the plastic in my food. They couldn't pay me to come eat there again. They can keep their gift cards because I definitely will not be returning after seeing how rude and unprofessional the owner is and how bad the food was both times. I have included photos of the plastic in my sandwich and the old, greasy fryer oil items for others to see. First visit and my wife and I split the pulled pork loaded nachos. There was plenty of pork and we left with full stomachs. We'll be back!

We ate lunch here today. All of us had something different, but everything was so good! I had the Pollo Asado tacos that were absolutely amazing, pulled chicken and fresh toppings. The Mac & cheese side was one of the best I've ever had. High quality food and friendly service at a fair price, what more can you ask for? Two of us had tacos and two had sandwiches. Went there expecting real Tex-Mex BBQ and found that they don't even smoke their meat. It's not a real BBQ restaurant and the food doesn't taste like Tex-mex that I'm familiar with (grew up in Austin until I was 14) I was also disappointed when walking in when I heard foul language coming from an employee assembling someone's order. I don't think that is something that families need to be hearing and if you're going to allow your employees to use cuss words then do it quietly, not in front of your customers and kids openly. I had the black beans and they were dry and the pulled pork was dry on the sandwich. The tacos were skimpy and didn't get enough for the price. The flavors weren't authentic. I would say that it tasted like a white person made the food because it wasn't as good as it should have been. I would rather go to Taqueria Diaz down the road from them, way better food any day of the week. read more
