Took a while to get the food, then I couldn't even eat a bite. Everything was incredibly greasy.

Lunch special.

Driving around the neighborhood found this cute little restaurant to grab lunch yet. It was a perfect stop. Great outdoors good food pick a nice split lunch more than enough for two. If you're in the neighborhood check it out.

G&L chili dog special.

G&L is a Muskegon classic that dates back decades. These hot dogs were a staple after the Saturday Matinee. They never go out of style. If you haven't tried them, you're missing out

Can't go wrong with G&L. Bring back the onion rings at the Norton Shores location, the onion petals aren't as good.

Love their chili dogs with xtra pickles! Their thin fries are super tasty and I look forward to this meal every time I'm in Muskegon.

We were in search of a good corn dog on a lovely Summer weekend. Reviews led us to Coney Land, and…read moreit was a total win. The building was very small inside as far as seating goes - just a few tables. But you at least get to stand inside to order and wait for your food on a hot day. Things seemed a little outdated, but it was still a fine experience. We ordered only food, no ice cream. It came out fairly quick and the people working were friendly. As far as seating goes, there is a TON of outdoor seating. There are nice picnic tables out the front door in a small fenced-in area. Out back, behind the building, is a very large area, comparatively, that not only has more picnic tables, but also a large play structure with swings and a slide. There were games like cornhole back there, and all of the tables had large, colorful umbrellas. Again, this area was enclosed (for safety) with no front gate for ease of access. Around the play area was the drive, leading to a drive-thru! Love this. There was plenty of parking off to the side. And there was even an ice chest out there to purchase bags of ice. The food - we got corndogs, cheese curds, and onion rings. Everything was fresh, delicious, and absolutely met our expectations. We ended up going back inside to order ice cream after that because of the quality of the food. Just as good! Kudos to this business.

Ice cream and service were good. The playground for kids is a plus. For a place called Coney land I…read morewas hoping for something like Lafayette in Detroit or One Stop in GR. If you want ice cream it's a good stop. If you want the name sake head elsewhere.

First of all, I'm not usually one to review food from my own hometown. Much like a sweet food made…read morefrom fruit and sugar boiled to thick constancy that doesn't belong to me, it's not my jam. But I'm beginning to think it's one thing to review a local eatery that isn't your typical franchise owned restaurant just might not be a bad idea. I saw this place open up late summer and logged it away in the Restaurants I Want to Try (But Will Probably Forget About) folder. Well guess what. I remembered. The real reason is partly because I was introduced to a real Chicago dog while on a food trip in the Windy City. So now was my opportunity to try a Chicago dog from somewhere NOT Chicago. Also, I saw they served Italian beefs. Or is it beeves? And we all know I'm an 18th century street walker for some Italian beeves. Its location is pretty spot on for a place like this. Lakeside, is what it's called. The area. Not the restaurant. Pay attention. Inside is spacious and clean. Plenty of booths (boofs? Booves?) for hotdog consumption. It's an order at the counter type of place. Classic restaurant. I ordered a Chi Dog with a side of chili cheese fries. Did you see the photos of that dog? It tastes exactly like it looked. Like magic. Dog, tomato slice, pickle spear, sports peppers, relish, mustard. I grew WAY up since just ketchup. But I still haven't grown out of eating cold hotdogs. Nothing beats a midnight snack of a cold dog. Anyways. This thing is a beast. Not for the faint of heart or tiny of mouth. This is one of those dogs that once you start eating, you can't put it down because it's just so messy. In a beautiful way. True story coming up, my first bite launched my pickle spear out the tail end of my dog. I might lie about a lot of things, but never the evacuation of a pickle from a hotdog. If you like Chicago or hotdogs or food or things in general, get this dog. My side order of chili cheese fries looked like something out of an art gallery. They used crinkle cut fries, which are god tier fries. They also loaded it up with chili, which I feel everybody else usually lacks what the "proper" amount of chili is. But I will sadly have to dock a point or two for Chili Flavor. It seemed to lack a little bit of...something. It tasted better than plain ground beef, but something a little under chili. It wasn't bad at all. It's meat and cheese on fries. They were more Chili Adjacent Cheese Fries.
