Pulled chicken and corn bread, tea, and half chicken plus cole slaw and corn bread, and loaded pittatoes.

I was in town with my parents on vacation and I saw Cluck Bucket on Yelp. I'm so glad we checked it out! The people were incredibly friendly and helpful to us when ordering, and the food was great!! The pulled chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned, the corn bread was sweet and delicious, and the pittatoes were perfectly cooked! I had a lemonade, and my parents had an iced tea and both were great! My parents commented that the chicken was well seasoned, but not excessively salty, and I agree. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Ludington! I'd love to try the wings next time :) Also, I thought the serving sizes and prices were spot on. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Love it! Vegetarian's who love that bbq flavor but never quite get it? Order the loaded pit-tatoe with a side of bbq sauce. YUM! Both types of coleslaw are available and good. Corn bread good. My kids had the chicken and loved it. The hubby inhaled the Hawaiian chicken sandwich (I didn't even get a pic). The Mac n chz was also a hit. It took us longer to order than for them to put the order together.

I am a sucker for a good food truck. If you've ever been to a place where there is a strong food truck culture, you know that you can find unique and high quality cuisine. Enter Cluck Bucket. It's much more like a food truck than a brick and mortar restaurant in set up. Although Ludington isn't known for a strong food truck culture, Cluck Bucket could easily hold its own if it was. Let me start with the staff. It's clear to see that this family ran business is done from the soul. They are super friendly and helpful. But in my many restaurant visits over the years I've had those experiences when the staff was great but the food missed the mark. So let's talk about the food. Cluck Bucket is known for their chicken. This is BBQ'd over charcoal, rotisserie-style while passing through their secret sauce in their special pit. They have several different cuts you can choose from. I had the 1/2 chicken. As one who loves to eat and cook BBQ, I'm both skeptical and intrigued by a eatery advertising it. So I was impressed seeing their pit, smelling the smoke, seeing the golden brown chicken, and then experiencing the ease of cutting into a chicken with plasticware. This means the chicken was super tender. It was fall-off-the-bone juicy and had a unique flavor. It wasn't super smokey nor slathered with a sweet sauce. That's not a slight on Cluck Bucket's approach, it's just that it's unique and super good! I ordered the Cluck Bucket Special that came with their Pit-Tatoes (BBQ'd on their pit), choice of two types of slaw (Grandma's or Creamy), & Cornbread. I was asked if I wanted to have my pit-tatoes loaded (sour cream & cheese) and I said, "sure why not!" They were good, especially when you add a little of their tangy red sauce. Most BBQ joints I've visited usually serve fries, a small side of coleslaw, and some cheap bread that I usually throw away. I was pleasantly surprised by Cluck Bucket's unique approach these things. First, they do not serve any fried food. Second, their coleslaw isn't "token coleslaw" but is worth having. I chose "Grandma's Slaw" which is a oil/vinegar base with the nice hint of celery seed. Lastly was the cornbread. Wow! This was an unexpected treat. It wasn't the boring "Jiffy Cornbread" type that's usually dry and bland. This cornbread, however, was moist and sweet, more like a corn cake. This is a PERFECT marriage with all the savory elements of the other part of the meal. Do yourself a favor and check out the Cluck Bucket if you live in or are visiting the Ludington area.

Have been very hesitant to try this place because I generally associate any chicken places with BBQ, which I'm not a fan of but I was so wrong! They have the BEST food. We had the chicken Hawaiian tacos, Mac n cheese and the Mac N Cluck! My new favorite place in town for Mac n cheese!

Great spot for you foodies. Chicken served from a food wagon along with little spuds, sour cream and cheese. (Cluck and Pits) Awesome food and service. Check it out. You won't be sorry.

This was a great little family owned food truck! The workers were very friendly and happy. I got the Cluck & Pits which was char chicken and pit-tatoes. Their homemade red sauce was very good! I will go back if in Ludington again!

I love the smoked pits, which are potatoes. Full of Smokey flavor. The 1/2 chicken was juicy and Smokey and tender.

We were smart to arrive around 5 because everyone piled in behind us, then there was a wait. It's a hopping place. I had some kind of orange chicken cranberry stir-fry. My compainions had a roast beef dip and 2 diffferent versions of a turkey sandwich. Mine was the BEST and so were theirs. We normally skip desert, but we had noticed a line down the block for House of Flavor Ice cream. If you are already dining, you get to skip the line and eat at your table. We had to. They have no less than a bazillion unique fkavors. Between 4 of us, we had 8 different ones, all as amazing as the next. If you are coming just for ice cream you will get ice cream at the back of the building. As mentioned, the line can get very long. They close at 9:30. Highly recommend!!

The place seemed busy but luckily there was no wait time. There was a lot of vegetarian options and mostly each combination was available as a salad, wrap or a sandwich. I ordered the cranberry chicken wrap . The wrap felt a little dry but the filling was quite good. I also tasted chicken fajita sandwich and it was awesome. This place has started as an ice-cream shop. They hold a lot of records including one in The Guinness Book of World Records and it shows in their elaborate ice-cream selection.we ordered vanilla with butterscotch and raspberry rendezvous and liked both. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit when in town. PS : we walked by the restaurant's ice-cream shop side in the evening again and there was a queue extending to over a block :)

We ordered online: a deep-dish cheese pizza ($15) and an order of 10 boneless wings ($13). The online ordering system also had an option to request disposable silverware, which we selected since we were traveling. Our order was ready in about 25 minutes, and pickup was quick and easy. The restaurant itself felt very dated, and while we were picking up our food, employees were vacuuming and didn't stop or pause the vacuum while customers were inside. The staff wasn't rude, but it didn't make for the most welcoming experience. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment. The boneless wings were incredibly small and tasted like frozen, heavily processed chicken. Paying $13 for 10 tiny pieces felt like a poor value. The pizza was even more disappointing. Between my husband, our three children, and myself, not a single one of us enjoyed it. It was very greasy, the crust was dense with an unusual flavor we didn't care for, and overall it was just bland and unexciting. To make matters worse, despite specifically requesting disposable silverware through the online order, none was included, leaving us scrambling since we were eating away from home. Overall, spending nearly $30 on a meal that none of us enjoyed was very disappointing. Based on our experience, we have no plans to return and would not recommend it to others visiting the Ludington area.
