First time coming here and I'd have to say that the food is very good. I had the Hot damn smash burger, and well, it lives up to the name.. loved it! The employees, however, were somewhat friendly but at the same time, they kind of made me feel like they just wanted to rush me into ordering quickly.. you can't just order quickly when you need to read the board to see what comes on the burger... unless you're a regular and know the board by heart I guess.. they also could have, maybe learn to smile more.. maybe even say "welcome in" to the customers that come in. It was quiet in the restaurant when I was there, as there was only 1 other person sitting in eating. So I would have given 5 stars if they would have been a little more welcoming, but this time im only giving 4 stars for the food... read more

Most favorite go to here is the pulled pork sandwich! Would be nice if they toasted the bun slightly to prevent it from getting soggy. The collards are briny with pieces of pork in it. Also got chicken tenders which were hot and moist. Plenty of sauces located near the soda for you to try. Prior to coming in today, my kids and I have only dined from their food truck. We came across their truck at Andelin farm a few years ago now. They were busy and all three visits for activities at the Andelin, and my kids ate from their food truck. Burgers and chicken were a hit. They had no complaints! We dined in for a later lunch yesterday. We ordered a two meat plate, a buffalo chicken sandwich and an all American smash burger. This store was formerly Superchix and it was quiet in the dining room. Service was good and who I believe the chef to be served us our plates. We didn't wait too long, but our food was okay. I wish my buffalo sandwich was easier to chew and had flavor. My son liked his smash burger and I tried the chicken and pulled pork, it was okay. Service was great, so thank you for that. read more

We just happened to be going to Starbucks drive-through and pulled up and saw their smoker going outside. And it smelled amazing, so we decided to have barbecue for dinner! The employee, Aspen, who helped us with our order was extremely informative and helpful. He explained a few things to us and also showed us how to get a discount when we want to order to go. I got take out from this place and noticed that they had Cinco De Mayo specials! They were only offering it on May 5th. I ordered the 3-Taco Special and the 2-Keto-Lada. Both were good portions. The specials came with elote, beans, and cornbread. I think the beans/cornbread was supposed to be rice, but maybe they ran out? No complaints from me though, I enjoyed the BBQ beans! But I would've liked to tried their rice too, haha. The tacos were delicious and I liked how it was three different types of meat: pulled pork, chicken, and shrimp. The elote was also yummy. My husband and I had lunch here on day two of their Sparks restaurant being open. Very little of the interior has changed since it was SuperChix. The biggest difference is that there's now a salad bar. I like how much variety they have, and even though I'm only giving it three stars, I anticipate going back to try different items. I got the smoked pulled pork BBQ plate, and the meat was really delicious. The fries were good, but not as good as SuperChix. I really liked the potato salad, and how generous the portion was. The cole slaw tasted unique, and it had cilantro in it, which was a first for me. The biggest concern was that my husband's smash burger ($14) had one patty that was way overcooked and one patty that was way undercooked. Even though I'm a medium rare kind of girl, I was worried for him when I saw how pink one of the two patties was. He brought it to the attention of the staff, and they apologized and made him a new one, and then BOTH of the patties were equally as undercooked as the first patty had been. The new location in Sparks is bangin' high notes! All the great BBQ you are used to from the old location is here, with some new menu items like smashburgers, and various flavors of custard. The house fried pickles are great, nice panko batter, just plain delicious. Ribs are perfect, links are good and Mac n cheese is stellar. Coleslaw is a 4.7 out of five, just fresh vinaigrette style with no mayo and cilantro hit the high marks. Salad bar stocked with absolutely fresh fresh produce. Great variety. I grabbed a chocolate custard, and also a apple mango custard. The Apple mango custard is absolutely 10 out of 10. Chocolate was a good seven out of 10. They also had peanut butter, chocolate, mango, mint chocolate chip, etc. Nice artwork on the back wall and the staff was excellent. Even the music was great, coming in and hearing Zapp & Roger! That 80's goodness. They have only been open a couple of days at the new location. Amazing! I stopped in here Sunday afternoon and was greeted by a friendly crew hard at work. If there was one thing lacking in the area it was a decent locally owned bbq place that's open on Sunday! Prices were great. They offer a $6 meal deal but I wanted to try a platter. Four meats for $21 with 2 sides seemed like a no-brainer to me! Ribs, chicken, pulled pork and shrimp! While waiting for our food they gave us small chocolate milkshakes on the house. They were really good! Ribs were smoky and tender, a bit fatty but like they say on culinary school: "No fat, no joy". Pulled pork was good too. Chicken were smoked breast tenders. A little dry but very tasty otherwise. Dont skip the shrimp here! It may not scream bbq but they're done well! Fries were on point and the beans were very good. Plus there was plenty of food to take home! Next visit, Im trying the smashburger! I hope they hang in there and make it. Everything has a kick to it. I've live in Texas so it's not Texas BBQ good but it's rest of America good. If that makes sense. I had the shrimp po'boy, the shrimp was good but the rest was just not like an original buttery bun etc. but still good. Sausage was spicy, ribs were good & juicy, the chicken was kinda sweet (kid friendly). The Mac n cheese is good, the potato salad was BOMB. The custards are the bomb. Service was good. The family travel 140 miles to enjoy the ribs. Upon arriving we decided on trying a few delicious items. Every bite of our meals were finger-licking. What got us was the custard. Frozen custard is ice cream delectable. The available flavors were Party Pig(birthday cake), chocolate cake, chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Fate had it that we had a cooler with us to bring home the custard. Yes, the custard was awesome. It has a nice, creamy texture that fills your taste buds with nostalgia. The potatoes are undercooked and there are too many onions. They taste awful. The mac and cheese is ok. The noodles are super yummy but the cheese is a bit sharp. My husband and I tried this new location the other day for lunch. We both ordered the American smash burger with an additional side of mac and cheese. The burger is served with a large side of fries. Since I had read reviews before coming in, I requested my burger to be cooked on the well side of things, hoping to avoid the raw patty that another yelper experienced. They were more than happy to honor my request. Service here was on point. We were the only customers in for lunch, but this location is fairly new here. This used to be the old Super Chix location and not much has changed. They even kept the custard machines. They have added a salad bar and some murals. One thing that we noticed was that most of the tables could use a good cleaning. This was also an issue when Super Chix was in the location. The more we looked, the more we noticed. This location is FILTHY. Someone had posted a photo from TWO WEEKS ago, and the same trash was still sitting in the same spot during our visit. The soda machine appeared visibly sticky, and 4 out of the 10 options were out of order. The food arrives, the mac and cheese was the best part. The burger was okay, very heavy on the mustard. My husband said his meat had the texture of sausage and not beef. I also noticed this, but was unsure if it's because I ordered well done. The fries were great. Overall, I think this place could be very successful, it just needs a good deep cleaning. read more

I stopped by this BBQ restaurant on a Tuesday evening and had a pretty good experience overall. The place itself is a decent size very clean and wasn't busy at the time which made for a relaxed and comfortable visit. I ordered a plate with a variety of meats including ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. The flavors were good and satisfying though nothing particularly out of the ordinary compared to other BBQ spots. For my sides I went with potato salad and fries both of which were fresh and tasty. The potato salad being a nice complement to the heavier meats. Pricing felt fair and reasonable for a full dinner for one person especially considering the portion sizes. What really stood out was the customer service--everyone was friendly helpful and attentive which made the meal much more enjoyable. Quality meets flavor as the buns were well intact throughout the meal, as well as a burger that smashed had juiciness while a Maillard texture from the smash process that gives you a caramelization of of the beef and it just goes so well.... I had a bite of the bacon blue, but for a flavor experience you don't get locally, this is a unique burger that really just left me impressed. The shoestring potatoes as well were just natural, which I love! The oil was fresh too so it definitely allowed for these to get a 5/5 as well. The owner said... we'll see you tomorrow, as it was my second day there. I unfortunately didn't make it back, but I'll be introducing my friends to this place. I'm looking for something negative to report on, but in my first review you'll note that there's minimal things to pick apart. We came here a few weeks ago to have dinner at around 7:45 PM. We were celebrating after my daughter's performance at school when we got there we ordered quickly. My husband and I had ordered at the salad bar. They told us that it was closed. When we looked over at the salad bar, all of the salad bar ingredients were out and open and available, but for some reason, they wouldn't let us have the salad bar. The lady at the cash register that was working with us was incredibly rude about it too. It's one thing for the salad bar to not be open, but it's another thing to treat us like we were dumb because we wanted it. I've been here several times and the food is always great, but this time we left feeling like we won't be coming back.
