Brisket & Burnt Ends plate with fries - &32

The only great thing about Famous Dave's are the employees! The food is overrated and extremely expensive. It tasted plain and nothing special. The portions were very small for the high price, and the plate was sloppy. Typical chain restaurant!

Reno Famous Dave's...My Wallet's Favorite Restaurant Listen... if you're in Reno and NOT hitting Famous Dave's happy hour, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you like overpaying elsewhere? Because these prices got me feeling like I'm scamming them (legally). The ambience is chill...BBQ vibes, comfy booths, and the kind of lighting that makes everyone look good, even after a long day. Now let's talk prices, because THAT'S why I keep showing up like it's my second home: Happy Hours 3-6 pm M-F Weekends: all day! Tip:ask to sit at bar area * Happy Hour Fries: $6 (and they taste like they should be $12) * Rib Tips: $6 (my toxic trait is thinking I can stop at one order... I can't) * Monday Burgers: $4.50 build-your-own -- yes, FOUR dollars and fifty cents * Wednesday Smokin' Sandwiches: $6 * Thursday All-You-Can-Eat Rib Tips: $15 * Weekends: Happy hour all day -- because God is good The food is consistently fire. My favorite go to's: The rib tips? Tender, never dry perfectly smoked and seasoned. The fries? the right amount of chilli topped with cheesy goodness. All washed down with a 6 dollar ice cold tall blonde. (They have a large selection of beer and wine for happy hour) The service is always friendly, fast, and not once have they judged me for ordering rib tips like I haven't eaten in days. If you want good food, good prices, and a good laugh at how cheap your bill is, this is the spot. Reno Famous Dave's has me in a chokehold, willingly.

We went when it wasn't that busy we received it right away. The staff was very friendly and got us waters and took our order pretty fast. This was my first time here and everything was pretty delicious. The greens were a little bit different than I'm used to so I really didn't eat the whole thing but the corn muffin was really good and my chicken was not dry. My husband's ribs were really good. I would try it again. Definitely some new items.

What's to say? Is it the best bbq in town? No. But they're good at what they do without costing too much money. Went there today and got the feast for two. Worth it. Includes a good amount of different meats they have like ribs and chicken and brisket and two sides. Was quite a good amount of food and delicious! The sauces are great as well! Never a bad experience coming here for some quick bbq. Service is always great as well! Perfect place for a quick bbq bite with a group as there's plenty of seating and even a bar. Definitely recommend.

Happy hour hamburger and house made chips

Well famous dave's lack of patrons should have given me a clue about the restaurant. I was so looking forward to this establishment being a great experience, fooled me. I ordered the happy hour burger, medium rare and the brisket with dirty and chili for the sides. When I looked at the "medium rare" burger, my first words were, what the hell, my friend also said the same. It was a smash burger, by experience any hamburger patty utilizing less than a minimum of eight ounces or less can only produce a burger that's overcooked. Well the burger was more overcooked than the medium rare I ordered. The brisket was too overcooked as well and the thin slices served didn't help with the brisket being too dry. Well so much for my excitement of trying this establishment but no thanks.

Just an amazing place with great tasting BBQ. The servers are always helpful and friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable. We make a point of coming here every couple of months.

Love how it was quiet when we went. They also had happy hour all day. So we got to try an appetizer with our meal. We both got the two platter meal and it was delicious. I dont like that they have Kraft Mac n cheese. Our kiddos like fresh made one. So we ordered the Dave's Mac n cheese. They liked that, but also ate more of the fries than anything. I got the rib tips and the catfish. Catfish sauce was good, but the brisket was way better. I'm going tonorder that next time. That or the family meal. It comes with so much. It would be good as the kiddos love the corn bread. Our server was super sweet to us amd checked in often. Very attentive staff I would definitely rate the service a 10 and of 10.

These are the happy hour size !!!! Potato skins

Wow, I cannot believe this happy hour. The servings are gigantic for only like six dollars. The service was super fast and friendly. The only thing I didn't like is they were out of blue moon beer. This might be my new favorite, happy hour place.

Amazing. The food was fantastic. I would have to say the ribs were my favorite. The potato skins were pretty amazing. Food came out hot and juicy...not dry like most bbq places. Karen was our waitress and she was outstanding.

Right now, they have a lunch special! I get 6 ribs for $18 and it's plenty! This place never lets me down when it comes to their ribs. Flavored great even prior to adding whatever sauce I like. Service was great and friendly. Food didn't take long to be brought out and our food was cooked great. I love how their ribs are not just fall off the bone!

Famous Dave's never disappoints! Good food and amazing service. Dining area was moderately full. Enjoyed the music playing and the company I had for dinner.

Cool pick of Signature Sampler Platter Appetizer.

I tried the McIsley (fried chicken, dill pickles, ground mustard, honey) and nearly passed out from pure bliss. The biscuit is golden brown on the outside while warm and pillowy within. You'll need a fork and knife, but the menagerie of sweet and savory building blocks will come together any which way you deconstruct it. My wife tried The Chatfield (fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, apple butter) and was equally content. The Oregon Marionberry jam was a tart yet sweet customized side, and I much enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese to round off the plate. The breading is evenly blasted with seasoning and the tomatoes themselves are plump but not the least bit soggy. Without a doubt though, the service was unmatched. They handled a line going out the front door with class, getting us tables before we even ordered to remove the burden of seat searching and our food getting cold. They checked on the dining area promptly though they didn't have to. The staff's hospitality matches the southern inspo of the food! We sat outside and enjoyed the slight breeze as the heavenly baked aromas of the kitchen wafted outside. Overall, an 11/10 experience. Love biscuits? Run, don't walk!

The only downside is their weird seating rules. I was in a party of 2 and they would not ring us up until a table for 2 opened up as I did not want to sit at the bar. For context there were multiple areas for parties of 4 and I found that a little annoying. I think what they should have done was sit us at a party of 4 table and move us if there was a party of 4 waiting and only a table for 2 available.

Even with the place being full, everything ran smoothly and the staff stayed friendly and attentive the whole time. It felt like they actually care about making sure you're taken care of, not rushing you in and out. Definitely a strong point of the experience. For food, we had the chicken fried steak and the French toast. The chicken fried steak was exactly what you want from a place like this, large portion, hearty, and satisfying. The French toast was a nice balance to that, a little lighter but still rich and comforting. Overall, it's solid, no nonsense comfort food that hits the spot. Wow! It's my birthday ! My wife took me to lunch, and we have been dying to try this place!…read moreA bit pricey for regular dining, but a birthday is a celebration! What caught my eye is the Prime Rib Dip sandwich for $22.00, and my wife ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich. Now I have to say my expectations were high, a sandwich for $22.00, but Prime Rib, yeah baby! When are food came my Prime Rib looked like it stayed to long in the Sun-bed, brown and dry like a piece of jerky and a sparing amount of meat. How could you do that to a piece of prime rib? The bun was just as spectacular as the meat, nothing to write home about! Maybe a new cook? From Bully's? I don't know ‍ I choked down half the sandwich and asked for a box, my golden doodle might eat the rest. I asked my wife hoping hers was better? No it wasn't, dried out chicken, almost like chicken cooked from another day she said! Don't think we will be back, especially for bar food that is trying to be slipped off as high end restaurant food! Pass!!!

The venue is very nice: warm decor, comfprtable variety of table and bar seating. Short wait at the door for someone to offer to seat us. Longer wait at the table for a server to show and take drink orders. Pleasantly supprised at the lower cost of beers and wine. Even longer wait for a glass of wine and a draft to arrive. The Fish-and-Chips did turn out to be excellent - a light and crsipy batter over very fresh cod. Looked like home-made tartar sauce. Fries were good but might have benefitted from a little salt (and none available on the table). The clam chowder (which has several good reviews on Yelp) was only fair. No potatoes to speak of and carrots -- WHY? The Turkey Club was definitely not a club sandwich with three layers, but the turkey was tasty and the sandwich delicious; maybe a littel overpriced at $18. The menu has some very interesting selections, so we will return to try other dishes and hope that they are as good as the FIsh-and-Chips!

Choosing Blend as our caterer was easily one of the best choices we made for our wedding day!…read moreWorking with Whitney and the Blend team was an absolute pleasure from the very beginning. They were always quick and responsive to answer our questions and the ease of scheduling our tasting was so easy! We loved that the tasting was an option and we both agreed this was easily our favorite part of the planning process. The only difficult aspect was selecting final proteins, sides, and appetizers because they're all SO good that you wish you could choose them all. The catering team on the day of the wedding were so freaking sweet. They were flexible, rolled with the rain, and didn't skip a beat on timing or set-up. It was important to us to attend our cocktail hour (in lieu of photos and missing out on guests), but as an extra benefit - the second I'd finished an appetizer, the Blend team was magically at my side to give me another. Truly, 10/10 service! In an unexpected moment, one of the Blend catering staff had congratulated us on a beautiful wedding and had then said: "They say rain is good luck on your wedding day because it washes away all the hardship that's come before." I've previously heard that 'rain on your wedding day is good luck', yet I'd never heard the second part of the saying or 'why' it's good luck. She couldn't have known our story, but my husband's a Marine and we've been together for 11 years through countless deployments, exercises, and overseas assignments. Her sharing that with us meant so much and it's stuck as one of the profound moments where I felt incredibly present and rooted on that day. Not only that moment, but all of the Blend staff were so kind and present with all our guests. I would see them laughing and joking and our guests could not stop raving about how good the food was!! They also LOVED that there was the option to go back for seconds. Each of the Blend staff at one point had complimented my dress (it was black!) and they all made me feel beautiful and seen in so many ways. As the late night bites were passed around and one of the trays emptied, the Blend girls joined us on the dance floor and it was such an epic blast. On the logistics front, Blend delivered yet again. We had 2 guests with allergies and 2 guests with dietary preferences and coordinating their needs were so easy. We also discovered one of our guests had a tonsillectomy 3 days before our wedding, so we messaged the Blend team to see if they could make any last minute accommodations and again - they delivered! From the food, to the service, to their people - Blend is one of the best choices you can make for your wedding. I can't recommend them, their food, or their staff enough. Our final selection choices: - Appetizers: Korean beef short rib wrap, pork belly skewer with maple bourbon glaze (MY FAVE), and the tuna tostada (my second fave!) - Mains: The gochujang buttermilk fried chicken thighs and New York steak with au poivre sauce - Sides: Mashed potatoes (we LOVED the smashed potatoes during our tasting, but opted for mashed instead to dip the protein in, IYKYK), grilled asparagus. - Salad: Honey crisp salad - Drink station: apple cider, strawberry lemonade, and cucumber water (This was also such a huge hit for our guests that don't drink! They loved having more options than just soda or water.)

Best caterers in Reno? I certainly think so!…read more I've had the pleasure of enjoying the culinary creations from blend catering at many many many events throughout the years and I finally had a chance to have them cater one of my own! I was looking to host a 40th birthday party for my wife and reached out to the professionals at blend catering to help craft a menu. I knew that I wanted the menu to be entirely gluten-free and be something that could be vegan friendly. They directed me to the Mediterranean section of their menu which has clear influences from Israel and I got really excited because this also happens to be the type of cuisine that my wife loves. We had that za'atar chicken Shawarma, spice cauliflower and carrots, dill infused rice, freshly made hummus and a beautiful Israeli salad featuring a ton of mini heirloom, tomatoes, shaved, radish, and cucumbers all in a tangy vinaigrette, and 100% of the menu is gluten-free and everything except for the chicken was also vegan! The team at blend delivered everything to the venue and set it up in chafing trays for easy service. They provided tongs and spoons necessary for serving the food and we brought our own plates and silverware to make sure that was on brand for the party. The feedback on the food was incredible and even though we ordered food for the exact number of guests that were in attendance, there was even still enough food left over to provide one or two meals afterwards! This crew is top-notch and I recommend everybody do their catering with blend!
