That's why this review is a tough one to write. This year I ordered one of their charcuterie boxes, and while the presentation was cute (the salami rose was adorable!), the overall value just didn't match the $22 price tag. The portion size and variety left a lot to be desired, and I honestly walked away feeling a bit underwhelmed. I was gifted a couple of Cherry Bomb's pre-prepped meals following an unexpected and unplanned surgery. They were so delicious we immediately ordered several more and honestly I don't know if we'll ever cook again. The portion size for the price is great... each meal easily feeds two people two meals. My husband has been complimenting each meal with a side salad, and the combo has been the perfect solution for our challenging circumstances right now. They also freeze really well and a perfect option to have as an on hand meal. So far we've had the lasagna, chicken piccata, and Tuscan chicken. I also ordered shepherd's pie, but we haven't tried it yet. No doubt in my mind it'll be amazing because Chef Kelsi has perfected each of these meals. Recently I planned a birthday outing for my wife and after realizing how close Cherry Bomb was to the venue and how hard it was going to be to get individual orders from a local restaurant, I had to reach out. After a few questions about the style of meal and service desired, Cherry Bomb sent over menus with sooo many delicious options! We went with a grazing board plus four heavy apps (sliders, tacos, skewers) and selected the Spanish Grazing Board, Mojo Pork tacos with pineapple habanero and relish, red wine Braised Short Rib tacos, Buffalo Chicken sliders with blue cheese aioli and carrot celery slaw and Steakhouse Tri tip with caramelized onion and basil aioli. We happened to have two vegan guests and they also made two separate orders similar to ours without blinking an eye! It was SO MUCH food and all so delicious! Everyone was impressed with it and we were so happy supporting this local business. I've always assumed catering would be expensive too, but it was quite reasonable! Our company catered a small holiday luncheon and Dawn and staff were very easy to work with. The menu was provided, and I made choices, and paid 1/2 when placing the order, and 1/2 just before the luncheon. Delivery was on-time, but I do wish they had spoken to me, and gone over the menu choices. I didn't realize bread wasn't included in the price, and I didn't realize dessert wasn't included in the price. So I ended up running to the store for pie and cake which isn't idea 30 minutes before service. It was about $1000 for 25 ppl. We had ham, tri tip, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and scalloped potatoes. The ham seemed to be the star of the lunch. The tri-tip was tough and a bit stringy if I'm being honest. You definitely needed a knife, which we didn't have. An entire tray was left after the lunch. I would definitely try them again for another event, probably with chafing dishes next time to keep it all warm. read more

5 stars to Dawn and her team! I hired Dawn for my wedding back in 2020. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to Covid. I rescheduled for 2021, and again, cancelled due to the Caldor Fire. I rescheduled for 2023, and finally, no more cancellations! I was finally able to taste Cherry Bomb's amazing food and share it with all of my family and friends. Dawn was great to work with, especially with having to postpone my wedding twice. Cherry Bomb offers so many menu options and they definitely live up to the term "cater" because they will absolutely cater to your food requests. Since I had to reschedule my event 3 years later, I was fortunate enough to be able to follow Cherry Bomb's social media and scroll through 3+ years of pictures of the food they offer. Yum yum! We ordered two types of sliders (bbq pulled pork and tri tip), two dips (artichoke and beer cheese) to enjoy on Super Bowl Sunday. Easy online ordering and pick up the day before. The order came with easy reheat instructions. The rolls came sliced and in a nice sturdy container. The meats labeled and in containers to reheat. The artichoke dip came with cubed fresh French bread and the beer cheese came with nice soft bite sized pretzels. All the food was really good. The beer cheese my face and was so addictive with bits of meat inside. My only qualm was I think the pretzel bites to beer cheese ratio was slightly off. Cherry Bomb was an amazing company to work with, when planning my wedding. A couple of years ago, my wife (girlfriend at the time), asked me to come with her to an event at the Stylish Scribe. The shop is really nice and all, but as a man who was not planning a wedding at the moment, it was only able to hold my attention for so long. What did keep my attention however, were the amazing apps being passed around the room. As the only man in the shop at the time, the servers noticed I was devouring the apps that all of the other patrons were too modest to eat, and started bringing me an endless parade of snacks. Those apps were provided by Cherry Bomb and I never forgot how good they were. About one year ago, when my wife (fiancée at the time), and I began planning our wedding we discussed one and only one caterer; Cherry Bomb. Our experience was great right from the start. Very early on we had a call with the owner Dawn. We went over expectations and options, it was a great conversation that left my wife and I feeling very confident in our decision. Cherry Bomb offered us a variety of menus and also made sure we knew that we were not bound by only predetermined menus, and that she and her head chef Kelsi would be happy to help us curate any menu we wanted. About five months ago, my wife (fortunately still fiancée at the time), and I were knee deep in pandemic wedding planning. For those who haven't experienced it, a pandemic will wreak havoc on wedding plans (all plans really). At this point we had endured a sea of changing regulations and rising cases. We had considered a dozen different plans for our reimagined wedding. One thing we never had to worry about however, was our partnership with Cherry Bomb. Dawn stayed in touch with us throughout the process and kept us up to date with all of their COVID compliance policies and made sure we knew whenever a change was made. This is the way business should be done in times of uncertainty and I can't express how comforting that was to us. Even after we broke up with our original venue, Cherry Bomb didn't waver. All Dawn needed to know was where and when she would be needed. About four months ago, my wife (yeah, still fiancée at the time), and I invited our parents to join us for a very safe and very fun tasting. We were the first to enjoy their new facility on Longley. This was my second experience with Cherry Bombs amazing hospitality and they made everyone in our party feel extremely welcome. About three and a half months ago, my wife (finally), and I were sitting down to enjoy our wedding meal with fifteen guests. Since we were never pressured into selecting our menu early, and we had about 75 less guests than planned, we were able to upgraded our menu to a five course meal with filet mignon and lobster as the main course. The food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. Every one of our guests received special attention. My wife and I were treated like royalty. Early on in my wedding planning process I knew I did not want to have basic wedding food. I wanted to feed my guests something that would tantalize their tastebuds! And, honestly, I didn't want to end up eating a bland chicken breast with mashed potatoes. My husband I actually automatically threw out most potential wedding venues if the catering options were limited. We knew we wanted Cherry Bomb to provide our first dinner as husband and wife. What really makes Cherry Bomb special is the level of professionalism and excitement that Dawn and her team had for our wedding. We started out with a plan for a 90 person family style dinner intended to bring our friends and family closer together, and Cherry Bomb was excited to work with us curating a perfect spread. (Obviously, this was pre-pandemic.) By the beginning of summer, we didn't know what the status of our wedding would be by September. However, Dawn did not hesitate to keep an open line of communication regarding all COVID compliance changes. There was so much compassion and flexibility towards us as the client--even in the event of a postponement or cancellation. We didn't even get another bill from Cherry Bomb until we were able to solidify our pandemic wedding plan. Our headcount eventually was reduced down to about 25 (including some meals for some other vendors). Even though we upgraded our meals a little bit (hello, filet Mignon and lobster), the final invoice was substantially less than the original plan. Even though we ended up spending much less money Cherry Bomb's stellar customer service never wavered. The food was of course totally the bomb! We were the first tasting in their new kitchen, and Chef Kelsi definitely impressed our parents and us! We had no complaints, and Chef Kelsi delivered a magnificent feast on our wedding day! Every single person on the crew was fantastic--especially, the one who helped me with the door as I made my grand entrance to walk down the aisle. I can't even thank Dawn, Kelsi, and the entire Cherry Bomb crew enough for being the rock that my husband and I needed in order to pull off the perfect pandemic wedding against all odds. We hired Cherry Bomb Catering to cater for our 50 person wedding this past weekend. We wanted to love it but unfortunately found that the staff dropped the ball a few times during our event. I would love to give them 5 stars but unfortunately cannot. Here's why... We did a burger bar, potato salad, watermelon feta mint salad, make your own potato chip flavor bar, & soft drink bar. The food tasted great but when you cater an event you really hope for three things: 1. For there to be enough food for everyone. We were very disappointed to find out that there was not enough burgers for everyone. That is a major drawback at a wedding to not get fed enough. 2. When it came to the toast at the top of our sit down dinner, the wait staff had not a single drop of water in our guest's glasses. If you can imagine, the first toast happened and literally no one had anything to drink. We specifically asked for Martinelli's sparking apple juice for our toast and that never got served. Instead, our photographer rushed to serve water to ALL our guests. Cherry Bomb did not do a single thing to help her but just fill up the pitchers with tap water. YIKES. 3. It would have been nice to have been given the option to get served everything as a bride and groom first. We never had any of the potato chips. Never got to try many of the sides that were served because they were given to our guests. We didn't even have drinks on our table! In all, I think this place is great to hire if you are PICKING UP your catering order. The staff unfortunately does not have it together and are an actual hot mess on the day of. Their menu options were just a little more special than the other caterers we contacted and since our wedding was a simple ceremony followed by family dinner, we wanted food that was in our budget but unique. The fifth grade team at Cold Springs MS had their annual bbq and spared no expense for the kids! Cherry bomb was the caterer and the kids were treated to hot dogs, fresh fruits, soft cookies and potato salad ( loaded!) which was "bomb"! Parents also were invited to help and got a free lunch too. Some of the staff pre-ordered lunch also which was off another menu so I didn't have the hot dog but a tri-tip sandwich, pasta salad and a decadent chocolate mousse with raspberries. The lunches came in boxes with napkins, plastic utensils, salt n pepper and a horseradish sauce for the sandwich. It was a very good lunch and sorry I didn't get a picture of the dessert but it was so good! One of the Teachers used Cherry bomb to cater her wedding and will be using them for her sisters wedding so I guess that speaks for itself! Planning my mom's memorial service was, of course, difficult. However, cherry bomb catering was so great. Gave my sister and I helpful tips, and answered many questions that we had, and were very responsive. Their menu is extensive and they offer a lot of wonderful choices. They also delivered, set up and picked up the day of the service and I didn't even have to see them. After all, we had enough going on. We received many compliments about the food and many people asked who provided it. The amount of food was also perfect. I was concerned about not having enough but we had plenty and actually had leftovers for guests as well. They also offer beverages which was a nice touch also. The food was excellent and all of my guests raved about how delicious the french fry bar was. Dawn brought everything I needed, including signage and a beautiful centerpiece for the French fry bar. First time shame on them, second time shame on me. I used them a few years ago for a business lunch and there was not enough food. I ended up having to get Olive Garden on the fly to feed everyone and when I talked to her about it she said it should have been plenty. Then I tried again for a Christmas brunch and again, there wasn't enough food. I ordered for 15 people for a party of 10, only 8 showed up and no one would go back for another round because of food available. Again, I ordered for 15 people. There were 30 mini, and I do mean mini, quiches, 15 biscuits with gravy, 15 sausage patties, 15 yogurts and 30 strips of bacon. I work at an awesome place that brings us catered lunches for monthly meetings and other events. I always look forward to the food since it's typically something different and delicious. We had Cherry Bomb cater our lunch and it definitely left something to be desired. Pros: salad dressing was delicious Cream puffs and lemon bars were delicious Chimichurri sauce (on its own) was very tasty Cons: Barely anything in the salad besides mixed greens. I think I got a single tiny piece of cucumber and tomato Tri tip was super over cooked, chewy and fatty. A bunch of us were peeling off the pieces towards the outside to see if any closer to the middle were not well done but we were barely able to find any pieces with even a little pink. Brown sugar glaze did not work flavor-wise with the chimichurri sauce that accompanied it. Always appreciate a catered lunch but would not order on my own dime. read more
