Amazing wings and love their french fries. Also, their fried rice is amazing. I haven't had anything else on the menu just yet but next time I will. read more

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I've ordered the Bonchon chicken strips several times and it's truly hit or miss. One night I ordered a 20 piece with soy garlic sauce and only about 10 pieces were edible. Some of the chicken was over cooked, however the soy garlic sauce was absolutely delicious. It seems as though the smaller pieces of chicken are cooked along with the larger pieces of chicken. The larger pieces are cooked perfectly, meanwhile the smaller pieces get over cooked. The side of pickled radish is not my cup of tea. The house fried rice is worth trying. I've had better, I've had worse. The chicken sliders are tasty, I would definitely order them again. The seasoned fries are always good; They are seasoned with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese, how can that be bad? I believe this restaurant has great potential, however there are some inconsistencies that need to be worked out. read more

Food was fine. The reviews are right, the spicy is SPICY. I was looking for an east coast alternative to my beloved Furaibo. We had the japchae (large portion), chicken strips (half and half), chicken katsu and bulgogi. The katsu was fine (needed more katsu sauce) and the chicken was crispy--even when cold. I am not a fan of traditional fried chicken (hence the Furaibo reference). This was between american and japanese style. Again, extra points for the crispy factor. The bulgogi was a large portion (and it was the lunch size) it was better than the katsu. This was good in a pinch. Took off two stars for being overcharged (did not receive the itemized receipt; only the summary). If you make a point of telling me that I am being charged extra for an item, I kind of expect that item to be in the bag after I pay for it (especially after I see you check the order against the items in the bag). I did email the location about the overage . . . will update if I get a suitable response. read more

The wait was a little longer than expected but the food was great as always! The service was also very polite and helpful would go again

I've heard of the place from a few of my friends for the wings and when i ordered some of them, i haven't had wings that good in so long thank you guys so much!!! read more

Only leaving one star for the food. Bulgogi fried rice is exceptional. Service was the worse experience I've ever had. I've been visiting this location for several years now and have always loved the service and food. Me and my sister walk in to find two new employees and we should've taken that as a warning to leave right then and there. A young lady with curly hair that wasn't in uniform ready to work takes our order and she returns with our food. And brings our beverages and utensils a few minutes after the food which is strange. Shouldn't the tables be already set with utensils and beverages come before the food? Also the waitress' hair wasn't tied back which isn't hygienic whatsoever. Low and behold my sister found a piece of the waitress' hair in her food. Our waitress was then nowhere to be found and left the other employee by himself and the restaurant went to shambles. Phone was ringing off the hook and the owner stood there and didn't know how to help. We ordered two lunch specials and we were missing a side of seasoned fries which are $2 extra and we flagged down the young man and told him that we saw our fries just sitting there in the window and he said they were for a different table. A few minutes pass by and they're still sitting there. We go up to pay and we still see the fries and I called him out on it. We just told him to take the fries off the bill and it was this whole ordeal that he didn't know how to take the fries off the bill and had to re ring in our order. We even saw a table with a father and his two hungry young children that ordered. Service was so bad that they left and they tried to bring out the food only to find out that this particular table left. Sad and pathetic. This location needs better employees trained for better service. Won't be coming back. read more

Bonchon!!! I've begging/annoying my bf to go here and finally last week he took there and BOY let me tell you, it was everything I'd hoped it would be. We order their wings soy garlic flavored and the potstickers half and half (soy garlic/ spicy). The spicy was a little too spicy for me and I love spicy food but other than that the food was GREAT! read more

I had the half and half, garlic and spicy along with the Salmon and alvacodo ball. The food was very good and the chicken was cooked perfect. In other places I've eaten I usually have to send my chicken back like 2x times. If you haven't been here this is a place you must try. read more

My husband and I love this place. Their wings and seasoned fries are sooooo good! Plus, the workers there are really nice and well mannered; which is always a plus. read more

LOVE their Soy Garlic chicken, it's the one of the best and their Fried Rice with bulgogi is also my favorite. The only thing it that there usually only two people working so it can take a while for your order to come. I love their food but they should hire more people! read more

I was introduced to this place by my coworkers and I'm so thankful. I have only had the lunch special of wings and fries but I enjoyed it so much. If you like chicken with a little Asian zing to it this is your place. The chicken had so much flavor and was a generous size. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying other options on the menu. Highly recommend. read more

As someone who has spent a lot of time in NYC, I've always loved Bonchon so when I found out one was opening in Union I was immediately excited.. this place definitely lives up to the hype. Just be aware that every order is made fresh every time so be prepared to wait unless you call ahead of time... read more

Price is way out of range. They don't serve water, you must buy a bottle. What is up with Korean places and ripping you off? I'm thoroughly annoyed enough to say this. I would not come back because I don't support this type of joint. read more

The chicken was great! It was incredibly crispy and the spice was just right! Only thing is, i wish they can get faster with the delivery.:)

I thought the food was going to be more elevated. I believe it it is a good Chinese food alternative. We ordered the Japchae and the tofu Bibimbob, both were not bad but nothing to write home about. I would recommend this place if you are looking for an alternative to the regular delivery type food. read more

I wish I could review the food here, but I left after sitting for almost 25 minutes and never getting so much as a drink. There was 1 frenzied and extremely overworked waitress who clearly couldn't keep up with the 4 tables in the place. Whoever does their scheduling should be punished. read more

The fried chicken tastes good but a little pricy. But still enough for a lunch . Will go if I miss fried chicken

Tasty but they were dry and fried too hard for me. I bought them just before they closed on a Saturday night. Maybe they had been sitting there for awhile. Who knows? Other than that, it's real tough to think how all these wing places charge $1 per chicken wing! It's amazing how restaurants separate a full chicken wing into 2 parts (wingette and drumette) and charge $1 apiece. I bought a large box to take to a fight. $32.95 for '30' wings. :-( read more

I ordered the 10 piece wings and 5 drumstick combination to go with chicken fried rice after recommending a fellow coworker. I received 4 drumsticks and 5 wings only. I contacted the store and text messaged the pictures of the below food. I never received any word back even the night after and unfortunately I won't return. I compensated my coworker. The food is delicious but this really disappointed I paid almost $30 for it all plus $5 for bubble tea. read more

I feel terrible for writing this review but it's because I was so disappointed with the tteokbokki I ordered. I always order chicken wings from this place and I have to say it's the best chicken wings I've ever had and I am addicted. But the one time I decided to order something else besides my usually and I ended up hating it. I've had tteokbokki before so I know how it's supposed to taste and look. They gave me a bland, runny and spice less soup and the ramen noodles was over cooked and broken into pieces. They basically gave me soup with rice cakes that weren't even soft. I was so disappointed, I love Korean food but I don't think I'll be ordering from them again. read more

Food was great but check your order before you leave. I ordered a 20 pcs with half soy and half hot & spicy and got all 20pcs soy which once I got back home was a little frustrating but food was still great!! read more

Came here on a windy, rainy Sat night. We had the Bulgugi Taco, Udon Soup and wings. The food is just alright, really not that special. We like the taco most, but is it still just a 3 out of 5. The udon soup you could tell is not made right (too much instant powder flavor and too greasy), and the wings are over cooked. To be honest I dont think I will come back again. Oh and the greasy floor kind of freak me out a little bit as well. read more

There food is well seasoned. Good vibes and a nice place to sit and eat with friends and family.

Really good korean fried chicken in northern nj. Don't have to drive to Edison or Palisades park to get my korean fried chicken fix. Only downfall is that they don't deliver, and a bit pricey compared to regular kfc or popeyes. They have the soy garlic, and spicy chicken wings which are really spicy! read more

The chicken wings are truly addictive. The sweet is so good and sweet and the spicy has a great flavorful kick- order some rice to help yourself to minimize the burn! The rest of the food was good, but not authentic korean. The stone bowl bibimbap was good but the bonchon in it was not like traditional Korean restaurants, ironic, I know. Be warned, the dukboki had shredded mozzarella on it... Not sure where that came from?! That I couldn't eat. It was not spicy either. So if your looking for authentic Korean, keep diving to Bergen County... But there is tasty wings, passable bulgogi and jun, and only a 15 min back road drive to the Prudential Center Arena which is why we went! Friendly service, order at counter and they bring you your food. Oh, and no free bonchon, again ironic considering their name. read more

Service is great. Variety of food is on the menu is perfect; I've never been to a bonchon place where fried rice, bibimbop, etc is served. Parking is a bit tough but definitely worth it. Fried rice was amazing and of course so was the bomhom read more

Love bonchon. It's the most crispy chicken wings ever. The spicy is really spicy so be careful.

My BFF loves this place so we went in the snow on Saturday and it was worth the trip I love the wings soy garlic and the fries were so good I will be back customer service was very good read more

Went here because we remembered going in the past at the fort lee location and it was great, this time it was very crispy, spicy and delicious! The fried dumplings are amazing! read more

It was my first bon chon experience and I can't complain. I've had Korean bbq in the city in Korea town and nothing beats that but this comes a close second to it. No joke. The service was great, it was as expected. There wasn't an OVER the top wow factor but very chill and it offers great chicken. Seasoned fries were pretty epic too. I'll definitely be back! read more

Great fried chicken! Even like their fried rice and French fries. But you have to try the chicken!!

We really needed a cool delish place like this in union center!! Soooo good! Thin crispy chicken..soy garlic sauce is great! Clean too! Go eat there! N they deliver!! read more

This is the first Bonchon that we have been in that was full service. It is also the first that I was not impressed with the wings. I tasted fat several times as I bit into my chicken wing. Usually they are so crispy and tasty that you just deep stuffing your face. Although this one is the closest to my house I am not sure if I will return. I was very disappointed come to think of it the food appeared the fast of all the places visited. read more

Awesome food but the wait can be long during busier hours. It's kind of like a fast food restaurant in terms of ordering, but it's also a sit down restaurant with service. Different mix that I think they're still trying to figure out. Regardless, the greatest of the food is undeniable! read more

Bonchon Union - No warm water. No hand towels. Only one of those air blowers. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Union, New Jersey

Used to love their food but they can be inconsistent sometimes and rude. Tried to place an order and they told me they don't deliver to my street after 7pm. It was 7:10 when I called. read more

The best Korean fried chicken around. And the coleslaw and chicken fried rice were excellent!

I've tried two other iterations of Bon Chon (Fort Lee and Midtown NYC), and this one was by far the best both in terms of food quality and service experience. We ordered the takoyaki, salmon ball, and seasoned fries in addition to the large half and half chicken. The perfect amount of food for 5 very hungry people. Everything was tasty - the takoyaki was less so. The sauce was a little too tart, but otherwise, it was fine. The Salmon Ball was a lot larger and tasted better than the Midtown location's, and the seasoned fries were very good. The chicken came out in less than 35 minutes as it said on the menu. The spicy was perfectly spiced and not too hot - served with some pickled radish to cool it down. The garlic and soy was perfectly fried. The service was also nice and just the right amount of attentive. And for all that food, it came out to about ~13/person including tip. It was a good time! read more

Felt viciously ill after eating here. Food was not good and my husband had the wings said the same thing. Ugh!

Maybe because I'm Korean but their kimchi fried rice is really bad. I don't even think they stir fry the kimchi. Almost tastes like they just put the kimchi on top of very dry fried rice. I recommend ppl to not get these if your palate is refined or familiar towards Korean cuisine. read more
