Absolutely love the soy garlic wings here! Great spot in the center of Union Township. Looking forward to trying the many other options they offer on their menu! All workers are kind and helpful when you need assistance in ordering. read more

If you're thinking about ordering Uber Eats, Door Dash or any type of Delivery services, don't order here. They WILL mess up your order and do absolutely nothing. They gave me whatever they had available and ignored my entire order and when I called and volunteered to get what wasn't provided - they told me they couldn't do a thing. Food is typically fine, but unless you're there to facilitate what you're ordering, save yourself. There are other similar restaurants. Good customer service is important to me and unfortunately, this bad experience has made me no longer a fan. read more

Fried Chicken . They know how to fry flavorful, succulent chicken that melts in your mouth. I've tried all of the flavors and they are all delectable depending upon your taste for savory or sweet. The bulgolgi wrap is delicious as well!!! I will definitely go here every time I have the opportunity :). read more

Best Korean Fried Chicken I have ever had! Whenever I'm in the area, all I want is BonChon! It's so good and if you've never had Korean BBQ this is the best place to start. I went once and had the regular wings and the sauce on both flavors were perfect. I went a second time and still superb then I went a third time and tried the drumsticks and they were delicious. For sure, will be back! read more

If happiness was a location Bonchon would be it. I've eaten here with friends and family a few times and I'm those times the food here has never failed me. This is the spot I recommend to any person who wants a casual, easygoing and enjoyable experience. All around the energy in Bonchon is warm and welcoming. From when you walk in to when you leave the service is just wonderful, the waiters are friendly and patient, the food is tasty, flavorful, and even aesthetically appealing. Overall the service and food is terrific and as always kept me coming back. OH AND when your finished eating you walk across the restaurant and can enjoy some quality BUBBLE TEA I mean how much better can it get? Go get a taste of happiness! read more

Food was great. The service did a great job despite it being a very busy lunch rush hour. She asked us how we were doing after we got our food which I really appreciate. The chicken tasted like how I remember it. Clean place as well. Highly recommend! read more

So the chicken is good and all but everything else is severely lacking. Not sure why I paid extra for seasoned fries that have little to no seasoning and what seasoning was there is spilled all over the bag since the fries were laid down flat and spilling out. The service here is very poor and has been for a while, I'm surprised the phone actually worked today since it hasn't worked since probably last year. They also forgot the free side with my wings..the chicken is good but very overpriced and not really worth the money. read more

Korean fried chicken! I should not have to say anything else. This place redefines what fried chicken is. I have been here many times and I will be there many more. I have only EVER order the soy garlic chicken and the special fries. They are so good using ketchup is a crime and that is coimg from someone that has a t-shirt saying "I put ketchup on my ketchup". This place is must go to. read more

I've been to the ones in NYC and Fort Lee before, and this Bonchon in Union is definetly on their level. The hot wings are hotter than at other locations, so I would absolutely recommend just sticking with the Soy garlic sauce (make sure you ask for extra sauce when you order).Best wings by far in the area. read more

Bonchon Union - 1/2 Soy Garlic, 1/2 Hot with a side of white rice - Chicken Wings Near Me - Union, New Jersey

One very annoying thing about this place, they won't put sauce on the side. My mom doesn't have a broad palette but she does have diabetes. I would have liked to have the sauce on the side so she could try it and also control how much was used. Apparently, it's "against corporate policy to put sauce on the side." Ridiculous. read more

I love bonchon, but this location has failed to keep up with the consistency of the franchise, ive come here 4 times since they first messed up my order and im sad to say it keeps getting worse, last time i picked up my order and there was no sauce on my chicken at all, my rice cakes were over cooked and the sauce and cheese looked like scrambled eggs in way too much oil, and you never know if your chicken will be undercooked or way over, very dissapointing being that its so close to my house but ill be taking my business to another bon chon from here on out read more

Alright first of all when you put someone on hold and don't give someone a second to even say a word then left on hold for 5 minutes plus then never answer and people are unprofessional in there workers are showing affection for each other while at work, they lost a customer and honestly I'm not upset everyone check out rooster spin in Westfield way better and same price for better quality food! read more

In my honest opinion I would have to say that Bonchon in union has bad customer service. The employees in front seem very immature playing instead of working. read more

Great customer service and the food was excellent with great prices!! I ordered the garlic chicken strips (huge portion) lunch special. AMAZING!! read more

Their garlic chicken wings is addictive! But you have to place your order way ahead of time, so you won't be dissapointed when you pick it up. Maybe an additional 15 to 20 minutes on top of the 30 minutes. Because they said that they have to fry it twice to get that crispiness of the chicken. read more

The hype is real! Bonchon wings blow any other wings I've ever had out of the water. My husband is a self-proclaimed chicken wing connoisseur and orders them anywhere and everywhere we go. I ordered Bonchon on a whim the other night (honestly, I was craving kimchi and just figured I'd bring the wings home for a fast & easy dinner for him). I split the wings up into hot, soy garlic, and naked so he could try all options and flavors because he was skeptical to begin with and had low expectations. Much to my surprise it was love at first bite. Each wing was crunchy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. If you're a chicken wing fan give these wings a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Had a small combo order of soy garlic wings + drumsticks with a side of rice and it did not disappoint. Not only was the chicken crispy and flavorful, I was impressed with the staff. I went on a Monday night and there was only one worker there. She was swamped with phone orders and seated customers, and she handled the entire situation perfectly. read more

I've attempted to get food here at least three times. Every time they are closed or and they aren't accepting online orders (on a Friday evening?!?) and said I could preorder for Sunday! The Union location of Bonchon is supposed to close at 7PM. I get that you don't want anyone coming in at 6:30 pm because I'm sure the staff wants to go home. But at 5pm I should still be able to place an order. Everyone keeps telling me how good the chicken is here - I guess I'll never find out. I try Korean wings next time I go into NYC, there are plenty of options there. read more

Really poor service, unprofessional service. Seems to be managed by that one Asian guy who flunked AP calc. Food took 1 hour to come out. In all seriousness, not sure how long this place will remain in business. read more

Called Fri 12:53pm, Order was for 2 Lunch Chicken Strip Meals. "Ready in 20-25 minutes." Arrived at 1:32pm, was told it would be "3 more minutes." Food was Ready @ 1:46pm. It's unfortunate that they gave the incorrect estimate on how long the order would take (told "20-25mins" and it took 50+mins). The saucing on the chicken looked haphazard but the seasoning was still detectable. Perhaps they were short staffed that afternoon but something is wrong when the estimated time is more than 25mins faster than the actual time, for a simple order. read more

I just spent $35.22 on a takeout order of 15 pieces of chicken. The cashier, Mark Bautista, advised me it comes with a free side order of radish. They never gave me the free side of radish. What a bunch of dishonest, rip-off artists. I want my $35.22 back!!!!!!! I called to let them know that they forgot to include the radish. The same jerk, Mark, who packed my food replied, "Well it's ok we forgot it, because it wasn't charged to your card." I advised him it was supposed to come free with the purchase. He did said he didn't care. Never going back!!!!! read more

I am here with my husband the server is so rude I come here rather often because my husband and I really enjoy the chicken here but honestly if the server continues to be rude we might not come back. I am so surprised because there's another girl who is usually here and she is so wonderful. The food is great but the server has no reason to be this nasty. read more

Everything here is amazing!!! Please try .. staff is friendly and helpful , restaurant is clean and a cool atmosphere

I have been a customer multiple times in the pass month. Location is in Union. Parking is in the back. If you get lucky, then you can probably find street parking. The decor is not much but I don't mind it. There is a tv and I always watch American Ninja when I wait for my food. This location also Korean Pop Music if you are into that. The chicken is amazing, I always get a combination of hot and garlic soy. The fries, beef bugogi, and chicken Katsura are delicious also. If you dine in, you may have to wait. The secret is to call in to and preorder your meal. That way you don't have to wait. Highly recommend. read more

Went to pick up my order with ample time to spare.. It wasn't busy but they claimed they ran out of rice for the order? What kind of Asian establishment runs out rice and had to wait an additional 20 min? Never again.. read more

Not bad .. But it's pricey for wings at the end of the day.. Overall decent food and staff

Waited over an hour for food, then had to approach the cashier before they realized that the orders were never put in. When the orders finally came out, they came out wrong. Manager was not there, therefore that left the workers confused how to handle the situation. Had to approach the cashier multiple times due to them forgetting to put in the orders for the rest of the table. Terrible service and zero leadership to account for their mistakes. read more

I am very disappointed with this place. The first time I went with my boyfriend, the food was pretty slow considering the fact they weren't busy at all. Then they over cooked my order to to point I couldn't even bite into it. So I figured to give this place a second chance yesterday..boy was I wrong. My boyfriend and I ordered seasoned French Fries for our appetizer and wings to for our dinner to share. I am telling they were busy AT ALL, there was only 2 other people in the place and they barely were getting any take out orders. And there was a lady and her child waiting for her food longer than we have. We waited 30-35 minutes and we still didn't get our appetizer. How long does it take to make french fries? I was so annoyed and the waiter acted like he didn't care nor did he check on our food. I truly believe they are just lazy there.. It got to the point that we left to eat dinner at another place. That is ridiculous! Not bothering to spend my money there again..nope! read more

So disgusted by this place !!! We entered through the back and I immediately got smacked in the face with the smell of dead animal. It carried through to the front of the place I couldn't even stay we walked to noodle fan for a much better meal. I honestly think the health department needs to pay this place a visit I can't get that smell out of my mind. So nasty. read more

Bonchon is such a welcome addition to the Union community. Everyone needs to keep in mind that the store just opened - only 3 weeks ago - so there will be some kinks they need to work out, and mistakes happen to the best of us. That being said - so many of my friends and I were so excited to hear about the "soft" opening on Easter Sunday. At the time, they just had the wings, and they were delicious! Even though the menu does state that the chicken is made to order and it may take up to 35 minutes, our order was completed in a timely fashion. The manager and his staff are very friendly and anxious to hear about your experience. He explained how the items on the menu would be introduced item by item, so that they would taste just right. Even though they only had the wings on the menu for the soft opening, we were so excited that Bon Chon was even open, as we had been anxiously awaiting opening day. At this point, nearly everything on the menu is available, and there is more decor on the walls, not that the latter matters, in my opinion. It is very clean. The staff are very attentive to your needs. That is very important to me. Understanding that this is considered Korean "fast food", I think it is delicious. The bulgogi was tasty, as was the House Fried Rice, and the BipBimBap. The potstickers are beyond delicious. I personally prefer the strips but others in my family enjoy the wings. If you like spicy - definitely try the "hot" version of the items. If not, the soy garlic is just as tasty. I have been there several times since they have opened and will continue to go back. I know they have provided large quantities of chicken for gatherings for myself and my friends and there have only been compliments! Try this place! You won't be disappointed... read more

Soy garlic chicken is amazing!!!! My only issue is when you pay for just wings they still give you legs which is kind of annoying considering you spend more but whatever. Foods worth it! read more

I've been to bonchon a couple times now, and let me say I've yet to be disappointed. Food is consistent, employees are friendly and the place is clean with lots of seats. I always get the Hot and Spicy boneless chicken with French fries(my favorite) I've tried the soy garlic chicken but I must say not my choice of flavor. this place satisfies my cravings but I must say it is in need of DIPPING SAUCES!!! chicken with no dip? Bonchon Union - Hot and spicy boneless Chicken, with their black iced tea , Delicious!! - Chicken Wings Near Me - Union, New Jersey

Ordered on Super Bowl Sunday and it seems like they were understaffed and overwhelmed. Took about 45 min for the wings to get done and when I got home they were already cold. The wings also gave me food poisoning, safe to say I am never ordering here again. read more

Welcome, Happy to see you in this neck of the woods Been a fan for years. This location been open just over a week been twice love it. I first had Bon Chon chicken in Manhattan, NY, and absolutely went crazy for them.. The soy garlic is perfect, hot Garlic is yummy as well, however, I'm not a fan of spicy food... The minute I found out there was a restaurant closer to my home in New Jersey I ran there soooooo fast. However, my excitement was soon turned into disappointment. I order 20 piece wings, half and half, my disappointment came as I opened the box. The wings were not coated with sauce. We also ordered seasoned fried, the same fries I had in NY, but I received fries without any flavoring. So thinking maybe it was a mistake, we order again months later on Sunday night Superbowl. Once again 20 pieces half and half with season fries, and once again, NO sauce on the wings, fries were good though. We will NOT be ordering Bon Chon anymore, that was $30 in the trash. We would have returned them, however, the game was on, and the store is 20 mins via highway. read more

You can't go wrong with Korean style fried chicken. I normally don't give reviews on Chain restaurants but this one is an exemption. This is a no frill restaurant. Nothing fancy but the soy, garlicky and spicy combo wings were sticky finger licking good. It's just the right sweetness and spiciness. The fries came in piping hot. It's messy and you won't regret it. I'll have it any day. read more

Not fresh! Went to Bonchon for lunch today following a close friends recommendation. I was not pleased at all. I had the chicken wings with soy garlic glaze and they were disappointing. They had the crunch of a very well cooked chicken wing but that's about it. I was surprised that they said it was only going to take 5 mins for the order to come out since the menu clearly states all the chicken is cooked to order....but obviously not ours because it was literally 5 mins or less for our wings and chicken strips to be ready. The chicken lacked enough glaze so there wasn't barely a taste to them and when we asked for more sauce we were told the sauce couldn't leave the kitchen unless it was on the chicken. My friend who recommended the place had the spicy glaze so maybe that was the difference but the proof of freshness was definitely lacking with pre-cooked wings being served. read more
