All my friends had been raving about the restaurant. We got there at 5.55 and asked for a table for 4 there were 4 servers . There were 4 tables open but they did not seat us for 10 minutes. They serve more than just fried chicken but everyone just talks about the chicken. They mention that the chicken takes 30 minutes. Restaurant is very casual and chairs very uncomfortable. The plates that they give you are very small not for family style. We ordered soy sauce and spicy wings and drum sticks. The chicken was not overly breaded. The chicken was good size especially the drum sticks. The chicken was good very crunchy skin and a nice blend of flavors. We also tried the glass noodles and the beef stir fried . We did order rice and ended up taking it home . Since our other orders came with rice . They did refills our water twice . The dinner took one hour and 40 minutes. We did like the chicken . Sorry to say I am disappointed.. I ordered using the app for curbside pickup.. I drove 20 min to get there and arrived timely and after waiting called to let them know I was there.. A very nice young woman came out and told me the app had glitched and my order had not gotten to the kitchen.. but they were making it now.. eta 10 min give or take.. the take became 27 min... I ordered wings&drums half and half sauce.. seafood fried rice.. order and tip $50.00.. the chicken was very good.. crisp and flavorful but it all had the soy garlic sauce instead of half spicy half soy garlic I ordered.. the rice was bland and flat tasting.. i looked hard but couldn't find any seafood in it at all.. the texture was odd.. like it had been cooked then reheated in microwave.. I really hoped this would be a new favorite place.. and the chicken is good but expensive.. especially not to get what is ordered :-( read more

This is a great place to go with the family. The food and service was great. We had the fried chicken and fried rice and all was amazing. This place has some of the best wings that I've ever had. The wings are always crispy and the flavors are good. The service never disappoints. For example, we were not able to finish our meal and had to get a to go box for one wing. I went to Bon Chon and really enjoyed the spicy, and soy with ginger Korean fried wings. Lots of flavor from the kimchi coleslaw, pickled radish, and seasoned fries (I like spicy). If you like fried chicken try this place! If you like Korean food try this place! Great service and value! read more

Food was on point. The sauce was great and the chicken was very crispy. I went the first month or two it was open and they seemed to be missing some things. For example, I wanted soy sauce for my rice and they brought out a cup like you'd put ranch in. Will be back again soon. read more

Considering I've been to a handful of CHI-MEK places, this restaurant definitely holds up. Their spicy wings has a good kick and their other wings are decent themselves. I enjoyed my 10 piece with pickled radish thoroughly. I think to if they want to improve on the food is to add specialty dipping sauces like garlic soy, sesame sriracha, etc. Also if they could put in different more comfortable chairs that would be awesome. Finally we spoke to the host and she told us it would be "one sec." remember this was a mostly empty restaurant- with at least half a dozen open, clean tables. Instead of seating us, she proceeded to clear a dirty table that was so full of dishes, it took her well over 5 minutes to do so. Really confused why we needed to wait for that particular table but whatever. The food was just meh. I think between both our entrees, we maybe had half a portion of meat? 95 cents for a side of mayo? Definitely felt Nickle and dimed for food that was just ok. Chicken is bomb, super crunchy great texture. Potstickers don't need any sauce they have a great soy glaze on the outside and still moist on the inside. Really good all around. The slaw that they use for the tacos and pork buns I feel is a bit heavy handed and it takes away a bit of the other flavors, but it tastes great. I've been to Bonchon twice. Once for lunch after they were open 2 weeks and once for dinner this weekend. Lunch was chaotic because they had just opened. My friend who accompanied me did not receive her order. It was taken to another table and wait staff didn't realize it until we asked. They gave a 10% discount for the error. The environment for dinner was noisy and bright. It would help the ambience if they dimmed the lights just a bit. I ordered a white wine which was served at room temperature. I pointed this out but no replacement, which I assumed was because they did not have any white wines chilled. My husband's drumsticks were great. My chicken tenders were flavorful but no crunchy crust. When I ordered the same chicken tenders at lunch, they were very crunchy. For the price that's paid, the restaurant needs to be more consistent with their food and understand the basics of wine. read more

I was so happy to find out Bonchon was coming to Phoenix! I had eaten at the location in Chicago six months prior and craved it ever since. Was very excited upon finding out BonChon made its way to AZ only was such a let down. We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. After waiting patiently for 40 minutes, we asked if there was a way they can move tables to accommodate a party of 6 +1 child, since there were some tables empty, and were told they don't move tables, instead party of 4 were seated. What a load of crap!!! Good customer service would have been to do everything possible to accommodate a customer's request considering the amount of time it took us to wait for a table. Excited to try Bonchon as it's always crowded. No take out I guess they are so busy with dine in. Sat at small bar. Ordered 10 wings and when served I ate one and packed up remaining wings and took home. Ordered half/half sauces. Didn't get any spicy. Ordered coleslaw for side and got 1 tablespoon! Wings were good! Let's try again so we went in and ordered the same 10 wings split evenly with two different sauces, and once again coleslaw, and $4.00 plain French fries. Service was slow but understand they are new and busy. Fries arrive 10 minutes before wings? Wings arrive and we can't detect any sauce of either variety one of them. Flag down teenage server who 10 minutes later arrives. Ask him for drink refills, salt for fries, and sauce for wings. He says they brush the sauce on in the back and that's what you get. We explained there wasn't any on them. Sorry no go? People on both sides of us overheard him and said they too couldn't taste the sauce. Asked for a manager, none available? We ate the smallest side dish of coleslaw imaginable, boxed up the wings, left the cold dry French fries and left. It's a shame too as the wings themselves are good but the sauces are the key ingredient. read more

Couldn't wait to try the wings and yes they are good. However, both times we have dined here our wings were completely void of the soy garlic sauce. The first time we ordered at the bar, were served our wings, and then were provided with to go containers since they don't do carry out. I am serious if your expecting sauce on the wings and don't get it, don't bother asking for some yourself. They don't do that? Too bad eat them like that or leave. We just like a lot of the other reviewers received our $4.00 french fries 15 minutes ahead of the wings. They do not have any salt on them and while they were hot there was nothing special about them for $ 4.00. Side dish was coleslaw. Normal coleslaw but a side for the two of us was approximately 1 tablespoon. We were told to buy a side of it but it too would be the same size. Do not ignore the reviews about service. They are nice "kids" but are kids. No silverware provided for the coleslaw, no refill on drinks, no extra sauce, and really no service. read more
