Came here for a low-key birthday meal - great as always! Our waiter was friendly and attentive and the place wasn't too crowded. We ordered some tteokbokki, fries, and bulgogi fried rice. Good flavors and portions across the board and it all came out quickly. We also tried the new Korean BBQ flavored chicken strips - they were a similar vibe to the soy garlic, maybe a little sweeter. I would recommend giving it a try, I believe it is limited time only. The strips had a little less meat than I remember, but that could probably be resolved by ordering the wings instead. I originally came to the area to get jersey mikes but saw that they were closed. I went on Apple Maps to search for food places in close proximity and surprisingly, this was the only restaurant with great reviews. I walked over to placed an order in-store and was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and assistance. Hostess was very knowledgeable about the menu items and waited patiently as I bounced back and forth between what I wanted to order. The restaurant was very clean and had an open floor plan that allowed easy walk-ability. I went on a weekday night and the crowd was more enjoyable for me (a person who enjoys more of a quiet space to savor my food, and room to eat without feeling like others were on top of me). I gave this location 2 stars base on my first and only order at the location. Service is 1 star. I ordered a special 20 wings for togo. I did not know the special promotion does not come with any side. This is the first time I had Korean fried chicken without pickle raddish. I understand the cost of ingredient is crazy at the moment due to inflation and bad business market but its just a cup of pickle raddish. I would not hurt the business but only please the consumer. The package does not come with chopsticks or utensils. Bad customer service. Food quality is 3 stars. I have ate several Bonchon locations within the area. The taste in Springfield is great, reminds me the first Bonchon location in Annnadale. I gave only 3 stars because most of the wings are soft, not crunchy at all as it is supposed to. This is by far one of the worst Bonchons I've ever been to My food was not good at all, when I complained, he laughed and said the that the sauce that I ordered ran out and that they're trying a new one I asked him why wasn't I aware of this and he struck his shoulders, I asked to get a refund and he said that they cannot do a refund because of a new policy. I asked him if I can speak to a manager and he said there is no Manager available and that there is nothing that he can do along with laughing. Finally! The Bon Chon in Springfield area opened up.. Went here with my wife and kid to try this place out and was very pleased. I came here for the chicken which was good as per usual - crunchy and very flavorful. My wife ordered the chicken tacos which she enjoyed and we got takoyaki as an appetizer. Our server EJ was very kind and courteous and brought us everything we needed which really elevated our experience eating here. Ordered via GrubHub. The chicken katsu, mandu, and kimchi tasted exactly as I had in Korea. Kimchi wasn't to my liking (sweeter than spicy) but was no different than any restaurant in Seoul. For the potstickers I select the spicy sauce. Hard to see in the pictures, or in person, but they are fried with the spicy sauce. It was certainly spicier than I'd have liked. Had similar in Korea in a few restaurants and the spicy was there for flavor, these were nearing Buldak level of spicy. Good flavor but couldn't finish them. Katsu was as good as you can get, however it did not come with the slaw that was listed on the menu. The fries are where I had an issue. Granted they were delivered so texture aside, there was no flavor. For $9.14 it's a hard pass for any future orders. Fries, mandu, katsu, and kimchi came out to ~$50 via GrubHub. For the type of food very over priced but alright for once in a while and to split amongst 2 people maybe. read more

I've always loved Bon Chon for years. The chicken is solid here, but the service is hostile. There is a waitress who works here, I think she's Filipino, but she gave me an attitude for just existing as a customer. I came in the restaurant and she seemed annoyed that we wanted to eat there. I don't know who pissed her off or what happened before we came, but don't take it out on people who have done nothing to you. I understand there are difficult customers who may ruin your day, but if you can't control your temper, don't be a server. There are retail jobs where you can stock things in the back. You won't have to deal with any people. Just trying to help you find peace here! Anyways, I love Bon Chon, but I rather go to the Annandale location now. read more

I have to say, I've ordered food from this location before and it wasn't always the best. Last night, however, I placed an order through DoorDash close to closing time so my expectations weren't high as I was fully expecting to be served old, cold food. To my surprise, our food was so fresh and delicious. We got 8 piece strips combo, half spicy half soy garlic with pickled radish and japchae. The chicken was great but the Japchae was amazing! It's usually the other way around as they are mostly known for their fried chicken but I highly recommend trying their other entree's as well.
