The good: My chicken cobb came in a big bowl and had more protein ingredients than salad, whereas a lot of places do the reverse. I walked away full. What I didn't like was there's a lot of up-charging, especially when other fast-casual salad bars include these things at no extra charge: I wanted to sub feta cheese crumbles for the blue cheese crumbles and I got charged more than a dollar extra. I got a side of focaccia bread - 2 small pieces- about the size of my fingers, and I have small hands. It's a good size salad and you get one small side of salad dressing. I asked for extra, for which there is an up charge for each teeny container. I didn't try their stirfry bowls and me come back to try one, but I'll go somewhere else for my big bowl salads. read more

Recently discovered HoneyGrow and their amazing stir fry noodles. Great spot for quick lunch. Inside there is plenty of seating and there are some tables outside as well. You can order ahead and pick up on their website/app or order in person using their kiosks. I ordered the garlic butter chicken noodle stir fry and made a few modifications. I added carrots and decreased the garlic butter sauce. The bowl was super flavorful and it has a crunchy spicy garlic topping that gave it a good kick! read more

Honeygrow, a chain restaurant, is still quite new here in West Springfield. I really liked my first experience here this week and will definitely be back. I was skeptical when I entered because it was lunchtime and only one other customer was present. But within a few moments a couple dozen people were there and the place was hopping. The restaurant space is bright, airy and cheery though the music might be a bit loud. The best aspect of Honeygrow, I think, is that you can build your own salad or stir-fry, using one of the several e-kiosks. They do also have some standard stir-fry and salad dishes, but your best bet is to still build your own, because you get only what you like. Honeygrow also has desserts. I had a build your own cold noodle salad with chicken and some other toppings, including garbanzo beans and candied pecans. I loved this fresh salad, though not the garbanzo beans and pecans so much. The garbanzo beans were toasted and sweetened, not what I expected, nor what the picture of them on the kiosk suggests. The candied pecans were way too sweet and tasted a bit like toffee. Other than the garbanzo beans and pecans, I would rate Honeygrow as five stars. Though, one other thing I was slightly iffy about was that when placing your order at the kiosk, you do not get a receipt or a text confirming your order. The kiosk informs you that you will get a text only when your order is ready. That in the end was not a problem at all because when my order was ready, not only did I receive a text, a staffer brought my order out to my table. I liked too that another staffer came and picked up my dirty dishes, though Honeygrow is set up for you to bus your own table. Next time I will try a build your own stir-fry. read more

My first visit, suggested by my kids. Clean area, the speed that a customers mess was cleared was impressive. Not a big fan of kiosks, but theirs was easier than many to use. We brought the crew (5 deep) to honeygrow's dinner training preview and we're so impressed with the service and food. Ordering is done thru a mobile app or by onsite kiosk. At one point while using kiosk it crashed but it quickly rebooted. There are 5 terminals, so I could have easily hopped to a new kiosk. From order placement to receipt of our meals averaged 7 minutes. We all had noodles and our dishes were customized to our order specifications. I claimed "mom tax" on the kids Garlic Butter + Parm and dang that's "comfort". The only thing that wasn't as expected is we ordered the kids meals "dine in" but they came in the to-go containers. In the end, it was a blessing as we didn't have to then ask for a to-go since the kids were unable to finish their meals (but loved them), I suspect they are too many fresh grapes first. As for the service, we felt like dining royalty (continually asked to bus trash and fetch water). read more

Our family came for the soft opening and it was our first time visiting honeygrow. You can customize your own salad or stir fry and there's a wide array of topping choices and sauces. Our kids LOVED getting to make their own choices and thought their creations were delicious. Parents were happy too - I had rice noodles with red curry sauce and my husband got the egg noodles with the Serrano chili sauce, both were fantastic.
