Overall: Cava never disappoints. Food was good like always, service was fast, and I had a good experience overall. Location: Good location and convenient. Staff: The staff was really nice and welcoming. Service: Fast service -- I didn't have to wait long. Food: I usually get the rice with lentils, one scoop of the white sauce (not sure of the name ), cucumber, cucumber & tomato salad, cheese, chips, and I love the pita chips. I also get the yogurt drizzle on top as the finisher. Everything tastes fresh and the flavors go really well together. Drink: For my drink I get the lemonade with a splash of the blueberry lavender -- definitely recommend trying it. Ambiance: The only thing I'd say is the ambiance was a little lacking. Nothing bad, just not super cozy or memorable --more of a quick in-and-out kind of vibe. read more

A somewhat big Cava location which is nice as they have a few tables inside an outside if you'd like to eat there. The workers were very helpful and efficient. The inside was clean and the food itself was great, just like most Cava's. A great place to pick up a bowl if you're passing by or in the area and want a quick meal. read more

Nice foods, fresh ingredients, great staff! Clean and the best tea! Google Recommend!

My guys at Cava are always great. Pro tip: extra olives and double chicken to get that protein in read more

This is a review based on the Cava app: I submitted an order through the CAVA app and did not get all the items I selected for my bowl. Based on the receipt, I was missing 4 other toppings. I paid to add extra toppings and ended up receiving less. Due to the lack of in person interaction and customer service, I will refrain from using the app in the future and just go inside the restaurant to order instead. read more

I bought a Grains Bowl with chicken. As you can see the amount of food you get for around $14 (with tax) is a joke. This isn't considered an appropriate protein or nutritional intake for a kid. It's just easier to cook at home nowadays I guess. read more

Used to go here regularly especially mid week when I don't want to deal with weeknight cooking. Staff used to be so nice. Now, however, there are new (summer?) staff members who are just flat out rude. This is especially true of the guy who handles the toppings. Seen him a few times, and he just looks miserable and rolls his eyes at customers when they're listing the items them want. Such inconvenience to him somehow. Really, dude, get another job if you're that miserable and don't flat out roll your eyes at people. I usually don't write reviews about bad service if the food is good, but the service is so bad here now AND you are not getting what you pay for as a result. I used to get bowls that are full to the rim. With this new staff, my bowls come half full. I will not be going back until after the summer to see if this is just a summer staffing issue. read more

I love cava but this branch needs serious attention. Today was my third time trying the Burke branch and as it was in the previous two times, the staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly. They sounded like horrible cafeteria workers. The whole place looks depressing! read more

I used to like it more. Lebanese and/or Mediterranean food is healthy. If you're in the area it could work for you. Yet value wise it can't keep up with Mezeh. It's a night and day difference. Yes you can get healthy bowls with vegetables here, but I am not as impressed as I used to be. The ingredients are decent quality, but again they've been surpassed. I do want to say thank you to the employees. Very nice men and women working here. You'll definitely have good service. Decent tables and seating as well. Fairly comfortable and relaxing. It can't hurt to give it a try, but I'm on the Mezeh bandwagon now. read more

This Cava location is fast at churning out orders - it's quite impressive to see how well the team work together. The food is pretty decent in here if Mediterranean cuisine is your kinda thing; a word of warning if you come late at night, they may not have what you want or the grilled chicken may be a little burnt (the only reason this place is 4 stars in my opinion, as it's been burnt on several occasions - doesn't stop me from coming back though!) Super easy to find, located just off Ox Rd in the Burke shopping center. A solid 4/5; a hardworking team is always ready to serve you in here. read more

horrible customer service. do not online order from here ever your bowl will come half empty and you'll likely be missing half your toppings. Ontop of that when you go in the staff will demean you. Used to love coming to cava staff just sucks now because it's a bunch of huffy teenagers who act like them making you food you pay for is doing you a favor. read more

Road-trip to Philadelphia w my son, stopped for a little lunch where we knew we could get a quality VEGAN meal on the go. Delicious bowls of nourishment. Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Cashier complimented our shamrock necklaces (it's St.Patrick's day, we come prepared) and said she had on her green socks. YES: vegan friendly read more

Young man was friendly. However, he did change his gloves from register to salad. Young lady came in from Break but didn't even look to see if he needed help as he was running the front line alone. I have never seen this before at a cava. There is typically a team to keep the line moving. I had to wait until the gentleman in front of me order was prepared and paid. Make sure they are using proper cleaning methods. read more

This was a stop on a road trip for me to have lunch with a girlfriend I haven't seen in a while. When she suggested it I trusted her recommendation but had never heard of this restaurant before. My salad was super yummy. So yummy that I got one to take on the road with me to have for lunch the next day. This is what healthy and yummy look like when they come together and have a party.. read more

I had to break away from the office today for a lunch. I admit I have never been to Cava. I tend to not go to places that are overly busy for lunch. Since I try to mostly eat a low carb diet, I don't like to hold up the line asking questions about what is this is and what is that. I honestly do love carbs but my hips do not. And ain't nobody got time for that. I asked the Gentleman behind the counter if he could help me figure out what to get. Alejandro was very helpful and suggested a Romaine and Spinach salad mix. I picked grilled chicken, veggies and Greek Vinaigrette dressing. The salad was good and flavorful. I will definitely return here to try other options now that I feel more comfortable. read more

This Cava location is very clean and the staff is super friendly!! This is my go to spot.

Great food the place is super clean and really friendly service. I love cava and the atmosphere.

Fast service, delicious food and nice staff. I'd recommend. The restaurant is also kept very clean.

Yesssssss CAVA got the win!!! My first time at this location and let's just say I was impressed!!! Meatless Monday's require a Mediterranean fix, if you will! I was greeted immediately as soon as I walked in. Making my bowl was super easy!!! I like that they asked me if I wanted the pita on the side instead of my having to ask for it!!! The ingredients were all so fresh and so vibrant, I love a colorful bowl!! I always gets a light drizzle of the Greek vinaigrette and a dab of that lemony oil concoction that's by the silverware. Made it through the line in no time flat and checkout was speedy!!! Everyone was so upbeat and friendly, I like that! I'm an early bird at lunch time so it was not crowded at all and the ingredient bar was super clean!! Plus plus!!! The location overall was clean and easy to access since it is on the end of the shopping center! I would definitely visit this location again read more

in the battle of the "fast casual" Mediterranean restaurants, I prefer Mezeh over CAVA. I had occasion to visit this CAVA location as part of the recent "check in to check out" YELP event this past Monday. I've been to the CAVA in DC before and my impressions haven't changed over the years. Generally I find the staff to be skimpy with the toppings, the meats to be "meh". Impressions of the decor tend toward the modern, with homages to a "Chipolte-esque" feel and color schemes. When I dined at Mezeh last week, they had a great selection of fresh veggies included big slices of roasted eggplants. The staff at Mezeh were also generous with the toppings and didn't even blink an eye when I asked for additional scoops of olives, roasted hummus, or Israeli couscous. I ordered the grains and greens bowl along with the meatballs. While the bowl was large, the amount of food that wound up inside, was small by comparison. The server who helped me gladly piled on the brown rice and greens, but was sparing with everything else except the hummus and "crazy feta," and Harrisa sauce. The spoons they use to add the toppings are akin to the size of baby spoons. Seriously, the next time you walk in, examine the spoons they use and you'll also come the realization that they look like they belong in a jar of Gerber's mushed peas. I also got a bit of a "reaction," when I asked one of the staff if I could get an extra scoop of olives and cucumbers. The meatballs were not amazing, but also not terrible. The first couple of bites were tender and juicy, but towards the center, the ground meat was dry and flavorless. The staff were friendly and efficient, so they get a star for that. If I had paid the approximately $10 for my bowl, I would DEFINITELY been hungry afterwards. Otherwise, if I'm in the mood for this type of cuisine, I'll probably head to Mezeh which I find to be a better value for the money and serves tastier versions of Mediterranean fare. read more

After a while of not coming here, I came back for the Yelp Elite Event "Check In to Check Out". Again, not impressed with their customer service. The employees look miserable and even bring my mood down. I came here around 3:30pm and the young lady helping us was very unpleasant. We had to ask for the complimentary pita bread 4 times. It was evident that she wanted to be anywhere else but here. The place was empty except for 2 tables. We love this type of food, and even though this is the closest cava I don't like to come here. I really hope that the service improves because we would be regulars...maybe even dailys. One thing I love is their drink selection. read more

I ordered a bowl and a falafel pita tonight. I had to wait for fresh falafel :) That was the 2nd best, freshest, sloppiest falafel pita I've ever had. read more

The food is always great and the people super friendly and helpful! I come here quite often and it's always nice.

Cava is pretty good. Lots of interesting flavors in a bowl. I had meatballs here which were extremely tasty. If you want to know the difference between Cava and Mezzeh, here's by best stab at it. Cava is pretty fancy. Their seating is great. Their chairs much more comfortable. The style of the decor is much more slick. The food is similar, although Mezzeh gives a giant bowl in which you are not going to eat it all. Cava is a bit more stingy with their portions. Also, Cava seams a bit more environmentally conscientious, which on paper is good. However, using cardboard straws sounds like a good saving the earth kind of thing, but you stay a bit longer than you should and you're left sucking moist paper that is disintegrating in your mouth.. not fun. Definitely worth it, but if the Cava and Mezzeh were next to eachother, I think I'd pick Mezzeh. read more

Great location- glad to find Cava outside of DC and in my northern Virginia neighborhood! Came here for a Yelp stop in event and was thrilled with the quick and efficient service. I stopped in around 1:30. It wasn't very busy but I was glad to be in and out. I chose a chicken salad bowl with arugula. It was tasty, flavorful, and fresh! The Cava team was super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back here again soon! Thanks, Yelp! read more

I have to admit that Cava has become a mainstay of my diet since moving to the DMV. If a week goes by without a bowl, there is something going wrong and I get antsy and plan immediately to remedy that void. Cava is a great place for a quick, but substantial bowl meal. They have a Mediterranean flair to their food and you can eat in or dine out, but you order at the front. The bases are a choice of grains (rice, lentils) or greens (lettuce, mixes of brussel sprouts, lettuces, etc) or both; dips like hummus, "crazy" feta, harissa, tzatziki; proteins like lamb, chicken, beef, or veggies and falafel; then your toppings such as pickled cabbage, onions, tomatoes, feta, cucumber, hot peppers, olives, quinoa, mint, lemon; and finally dressings like lemon herb tahini, garlic, among others. When I go I end up getting a pretty hearty bowl with lots of toppings. I love their braised lamb, honey harissa chicken, and falafel. The staff at this location is pretty great, as well! I've always had friendly interactions with them and they are very patient when I ask questions. Finally, if you order a drink, I suggest their different iced teas! Even though they have more interesting ones, I'm a huge fan of their jasmine tea, so good! read more

First time at this location but I will definitely be back! Not only is it about a 7 minute drive from home, but the service was stellar and I was impressed with the amount of each requested ingredient in my salad bowl. I love that this is a healthier alternative to the other fast food in the area and with the app it's super easy to order online and pick it up in the store or have it delivered curbside. read more

The staff is friendly. However, when ordering online, the food does not arrive on time. I hope this issue will be improved.

The food was really good, but I asked bro at the register for a water cup and he didn't tell me they charged for that thing

My experience at Cava was amazing and that's mostly due to the friendly staff. One person specifically Diosis. She made my first cava bowl perfect and she helped me with any questions I had. The food was great but the service is really what made this a 5 star experience. read more

Super yummy food! My children love the chicken and rice bowls with pitas. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Love the modern wood and metal themed interior. They offer several seating options from tables, to booths to low bar top (handicap accessible). This is a "chipotle/subway style" restaurant where you build your own bowl/salad/pita pocket. Compared to their competitor, Mezeh, they offer fewer toppings and have some up-charges for certain add-ons. I wanted to get falafel and grilled veggies and it was an extra charge. So that was a bummer. Overall I received good customer service and was impressed with the cleanliness of this location. My bowl was delicious and I enjoyed trying some new toppings like their black lentils and spicy humus (tread lightly, it only has a one pepper spice rating, but that thing was kickin'). I love that they use earth friendly bowls and utensils made of plant based resources. We LOVE a business that's tryin not to wreck the earth. read more

I have spent my fair share of time in Burke, but I honestly didn't know about this shopping center, so I'm glad Yelp alerted me that Cava was located here! Service was great - I went during a weekday lunch hour but was lucky enough to be the only one in line so I got in and out in 5 minutes. As for the bowl itself, everything was fresh and delicious. I also have to give Cava credit for being able to offer a bunch of food options, and still have them all work together. I usually order a little of everything but it still manages to taste good mixed together! And even though I steered away from the carb options, it was still a filling meal. :) My only desire is that Cava's signage at all Cava locations would be a bit clearer for first timers. There are signs identifying the options, but they don't say how many you can pick of each item. For example, how is a person supposed to know they get 3 scoops of dip? read more

I've been to another chain restaurant a couple of years ago and was delighted to discover that a Cava opened up near my dad's place in Burke! I got the bowl with rice and chicken and all sorts of different sauces, dips and veggies. Everything tasted fresh and super healthy. For a side I got the pita chips that just got made and they tasted great with my bowl. I got the strawberry mint tea with agave. I will def. Be back next time I'm in the area :) read more
