Unfortunately, this location now feels like it has been on a steady downward spiral. On this most recent visit, one of the first things I noticed was that they no longer appear to sell alcohol, as they don't currently have an alcohol license. That alone wasn't a dealbreaker, but it was noticeable. What concerned me more was the lack of attention to hygiene in the kitchen. Watching the cooks prepare food without hairnets and seeing some of their food-handling practices was surprising and honestly uncomfortable. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. The employee working behind the buffet bar was doing a very good job of keeping his area clean and organized. Everything on the buffet line looked fresh, and there was a good variety of options available. The bathrooms were also clean, which I appreciated. Another ongoing issue has been menu availability. They never seem to have the sauces or items listed on the menu. Each time I've asked, the response has been that they're "waiting on the truck." The first time, that was understandable. After hearing the same excuse multiple times over several visits, it no longer feels believable. One thing I will say I still enjoy is the trivia game they run on the TVs. You can download an app on your phone and play along, which is a fun touch. My little brother and I really enjoyed that feature, and it's one of the few highlights that still stands out. As for service, I want to be fair the waitress herself was doing her best. However, it was clear she was overwhelmed. The restaurant seemed understaffed, with only one waitress managing the entire place. She was trying to seat guests, take orders, run food, clean tables, make drinks, and handle online orders and pickups all at once. That's simply too much for one person, especially when the restaurant could have easily scheduled at least one additional staff member. Overall, this location no longer feels like the restaurant I once loved. I hope they're able to turn things around, because it used to be a great spot but right now, it's hard to recommend.

Instead of telling me they were short-staffed, out of certain items, or close to closing, I was given food that appeared rushed and poorly prepared. The meat was burnt and extremely dry with little to no sauce, and the rice was undercooked and wet. This was not a cheap order, and we did not receive the quality we paid for. I called and spoke with Manager Michael Warner. Before I even had the chance to fully explain, he immediately apologized and offered to replace the meal with two complimentary entrées. I appreciated how professionally and respectfully he handled the situation. We returned on Thursday to use the replacements, and the experience was even worse. The manager, Sylvia, was rude, dismissive, and made us feel as though we did not belong there. She repeatedly questioned whether we had eaten there before and whether we knew what the food was supposed to taste like. We have been customers many times, and this restaurant was one of our regular go-to places. She also told us we could not order our meat well-done because it would be dry, even though we have ordered it that way before. She then stated that if the food was cooked, it could not be remade. I have personally witnessed other customers complain and have their meals corrected, so this felt unfair and insulting. Our waitress was also inattentive. She rarely checked on us, we had to go find her, and I had to get my own drink from the bar. My fiancé and I are both working professionals, but no customer should have to explain their occupation or background to receive basic respect. We came back in good faith after being served an unacceptable meal, and instead of being treated with courtesy, we were questioned, dismissed, and made uncomfortable. After two horrible experiences in a row, we will not be returning. We spent our money, tried to be understanding, and still did not receive the food quality or respectful service we deserved.

I waited over 10 minutes without any server acknowledging our table. When leaving, the server was chatting at the front desk. There was zero acknowledgment, and I left for a place with better service and lower prices. The experience felt unprofessional. After enjoying so many positive visits in the past, this one really turned me off. Sadly, I don't see myself coming back.

I wasn't sure if the promotion meant we should have received two free bowls, but honestly, I was so pleasantly surprised by the deal that I didn't even ask. The only thing that wasn't quite my favorite was the salmon being fried--I personally would have preferred it grilled--but it certainly didn't take away from how enjoyable the meal was overall.
