I was initially going to give this spot 2 stars, but our server was fantastic--really friendly and attentive. He was the lone bright spot of this visit. We came here as a larger group to grab something to eat and watch a game. Unfortunately, the hostesses were very unwelcoming. While they weren't outright rude, it was clear they didn't want to be bothered and seemed annoyed by our presence. This was especially frustrating given that the restaurant was nearly empty, so it wasn't like we were overwhelming them. We had a great time at Kickback Jack's. Asharee 1379 was our host. She had our appetizers out in 10 minutes , kept our drinks topped off and food out in less than 20 minutes. Very positive minded and mad us feel welcomed. We had the Firecracker shrimp, fish and chips and barbecue baby back ribs combo. Order a drink and you might not see it for 15 minutes, which may be blamed on the kitchen being backed up. The food is typical bar food-nothing spectacular, but may go well with a drink. So why would I recommend it? Because I honestly have not been anywhere that sells cheaper pints. Both domestic and draft pints are anywhere between 3-8 dollars per. I do NOT recommend Kickback Jacks Midlothian at all. We ordered from Grubhub to pick up. When we got there, right on time, the order had supposedly been given to a Grubhub driver. HOWEVER, it was clearly marked for pick up and nothing ever arrived at my house. The restaurant refused to remake the order and refused to issue a refund saying it was Grubhub's fault. So I drove home and got on Grubhub's chat. The GH CSR said the order was waiting to picked up from the restaurant. I found that hard to believe so I called them. "Oh yes. Grubhub told us to remake it". WTH did you not do that when I asked???? No matter. We drove back over to get it and I am now staring at a plate of ice cold food. Everything started off fine. The hostess was nice and my party of four was seated quicker than I expected. They were busy but not at their peak so things seemed manageable for the amount of staff they had there. They have lots of tvs so there's a good chance your game of choice is on (even though mine wasn't) After being seated we waited at least 10 mins for someone to acknowledge us and start our orders. They do have a "happy hour" from 11 until like 9 which is cool. On Saturday's the tropical crush is one of their specials so I ordered that. It took 20 minutes for me to get my drink. The tropical crush is very good so I ordered another one as soon as I got the first and that one took even longer to come out. Perhaps the alcohol experience is better at the bar? Not sure. Our waitress was apologetic and seemed eager to do a good job. She made sure she put in our order correctly and checked on us throughout the night. Once the food came out everything was correct. The consensus was everyone's food was pretty good. At our table we had a burger, chicken tenders, ribs, shrimp and a chicken wrap. While the food wasn't five stars it was super close...I'd return! I visited the restaurant on an early Saturday evening say and the parking lot was pretty much full. As a result, I opted to order takeout with hopes of a short wait time. I checked out the search via Yelp and came across this place. I also read some reviews and was set on ordering wings from here. Well the kids wanted wings and fries and this place seemed like a sure thing. The restaurant looks huge from the outside...while I didn't tour the entire inside of the restaurant it appeared to be pretty spacey inside. The setting seemed dark as well not a well lit restaurant. I walked in and was immediately greeted by two employees at the hostess/cashier/take out area. I had questions and one young lady was on point with guiding me through the menu and she was also influential with my decision making on what to order, the flavors of wings. We also received a recommendation for this place from the hotel staff at the hotel we were visiting this particular weekend. And I'm happy to say, the hotel staff even had food coupons for this restaurant as well. Unfortunately, they were for dining in only, but I thought hmmm...let me see if I can use them anyway on my to-go order. So I placed an order for two or three different flavors of wings and ordered fries on the side. I also requested the wings to be fried hard...I find most places don't fry or baked the wings long enough, whereas the fat meat on the wing isn't well done in my opinion. I like to crunch. Again the restaurant was busy, as a result, I didn't receive my order until 30 minutes later. And the coupons from the hotel we accepted on my to go order - yay!!!! Thanks to the Manager on duty - How awesome was that!! Super thankful! A great first experience thus far! We didn't dive into the meal until we returned to the hotel. So a hang time of about 20 minutes ... the wings and fries were pretty good! Still warm in temperature too. While they were not the best wings I ever had, they did fit the bill and the kids were happy. Money well spent. I will say the wings/fries were pricey and I did think twice about ordering, but the coupons helped. Nevertheless, keep that in mind if you do decide to dine here. I did get a glimpse of the guest seating area and noticed TV's everywhere. This place may be along the lines of a sports bar because of the crowds that were entering and exiting, a party, family atmosphere as well. This was a big weekend for boxing as well, so guests probably decided to dine in early to secure seating before the big showdown. By time I walked out the restaurant had began to use a waiting list. So my wife and I stopped by for lunch. We wanted to sit at the bar. There was no bartender insight. After at least 5 minutes wait I asked an employee for a manager as there was no one tending bar. The manager came out and she wasn't sure where her employee was but took my drink order. She later found out the bartender was in the bathroom and apologized. Fast fwd we ordered doors my wife ordered the smash burger and asked for American cheese instead of velveeta l. The bartender said she was not allowed to substitute. Go figure. The food was average. Management needs to be commutative about such scenario and not have customers waste their time. I really love the wings from this but NOT WORTH IT! They charge on average $2 a wing (not even the whole wing) but you can't get NAPKINS in your bag. I do not recommend this location if your visiting the Chesterfield area of Virginia. I brought 2 guests here, as we were traveling through the area for an event. Our server was Jennifer M., whom was a nice server but she informed us that she had worked all night, and had to work early in the day, and she was very tired. Although we sympathized with her plight, this was no fault of our own, and we gave her a very nice tip. My guest ordered a 20 piece honey bbq wings to go. They asked for them to be fried, and well done. I assumed when your bill comes to $61.00, and you tip more than 20%, the server would make sure the order was correct. We did not check the order because everything was packed to go. Late that evening when we arrived back to our hotel, my guest informed me the order was wrong. The wings were grilled with some kind of dry rub, as if we were given someone else's order. At 1:30am in the morning, and the fact we were over 90 minutes away. We felt that calling when the restaurant was open to make them aware of the huge error would be best. I called on Sunday as we were traveling back to the Richmond area, as were heading back to NJ. I asked for a Manager, and a young lady named Nicole M (the name she gave) answered. I explained to Nicole, our order was wrong. We had not touched the order, and was heading back to the area, and wished to simply have our order corrected. Nicole M replied; Why didn't you call last night? I mentioned; You were closed. Nicole M replied; Don't give me attitude! I mentioned; I am not giving you attitude, I simply wanted my order corrected. I tipped well, and had expectations that my order would be correct. Nicole M was very rude, non professional, and definitely was not management material. What was shocking for me, and my guests in the car, was the fact, Nicole M had a attitude because we complained our order was wrong. I asked for her Supervisor, she stated, call the District Manager. I was never given the District Managers name, phone number, or how to reach them. I called the Henrico (Broad St) location, and spoke with a Hillary, who was an exceptional manager. I explained the situation, and she gladly told my party to come to that location, and they would fix the error of the Chesterfield location.
