I got the Chopped Brisket Salad. When the food finally got there, the salad had no brisket on it. Had to get the waiter to go get it. Flavors were all good, at least the brisket was tender. Everyone else's plate at our table looked good. This comes down to the execution. Very poor. Anyway, some days you nail it and some days you don't.

There are plenty of seating, indoor and outside. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Their menu had a lot of different offerings from burgers, to pizza, to entrees. FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

Today was my first visit to the new location and I came away impressed!…read more The ambiance is great. The service is great. The food is great. I'm so relieved that none of those traits got left behind at the old location! There's usually a wait, but they now offer outside tables for waiting or dining. So that's a plus. And it's worth the wait. There's a new bar, so one can sit there and enjoy a drink or a meal. That's nice. There's a new (I don't know what to call it) "dessert deli"? Where all the cakes and pastries are on display and for sale. So that trapped us on our way out. :-) And there's a dedicated door for take-out only, so if you order ahead you don't need to swim upstream of the other waiting diners to get in and grab your food, Here's something really innovative: Their parking lot is on the small side. But they are adjacent to acres of parking in the shopping center. So they run a golf cart in a loop, picking up and dropping off diners who park in the satellite lot. Wow! That's service. The restaurant business is tough. And endless number of ways to fail. But the Brick House Diner is doing everything right! PS: In a time when restaurant prices seem to be out of control, BHD is doing a great job keeping prices as low as they can. For the meal I had, I've paid 10 to 25% more at other, similar venues. So, hats off to BHD for cost control!

Not great, but if a friend says,"let's meet at Brick House Diner", I'm not going to refuse to go there. There is always a wait. I guess other folks like it a lot more than I do. Parking is limited and you have to go around Taco Bell in the Taco Bell parking lot to get to BHD. I've heard breakfasts are the real reason to go, but I fast until noon, so I couldn't tell ya.

The host and servers greet you with bright smiles and genuine hospitality. The menu reads like a carnivore's fantasy: Brisket Burn End - offered as tacos or tossed with mac&cheese, it's cooked to a melt‑in‑your‑mouth perfection. Pulled Pork - juicy and richly flavored; be sure to sample the house‑made North Carolina‑style BBQ sauce. Baby Back Ribs - my top pick. These fall‑off‑the‑bone ribs can be served with the sauce on the side or brushed with a tangy‑spicy glaze, finished with a light char for that satisfying crunch. Flying Shrimp & Signature Coleslaw - the crisp, golden shrimp pairs beautifully with the refreshing slaw. Flying Pig guarantees a memorable, finger‑licking experience that will have you planning your next visit before the last rib disappears. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, expertly smoked meats in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The man in charge - I think he was the manager - was really welcoming and was great at his job! The location was VERY well run. Skip ahead to sometime mid-2025 till now, and it's a totally different experience... but NOT in a good way. Now all ordering is done by self-service kiosk. (like at McDonald's.) They had introduced those a while ago but there was also a traditional human order taker too. Now you can stare at kitchen staff and NO ONE working there will make eye contact with you. No one will take your order. There is virtually no human contact here anymore. The feeling you got before by the former manager, who made you feel welcomed, is completely gone. It's very sad. The food quality has slipped a little too. And the time it takes to get your order has increased. It is no longer a well run ship. And for that reason, I stopped going in late 2025. I go to Five Guys instead, which still values customer service and has humans welcoming you and taking your order. Please get your act together, Habit. Get a new on-site manager, up your game again, and get rid of the self-service kiosks. Bring back human customer service. If you do, I'll be back.

I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.
