Great chicken BUT weird service--- my son asked for salt for his french fries and the waitress said they don't do that---- don't do what? Don't give out salt. As in no salt shakers? No salt packets? And were totally out of caffeinated soft drinks but had a full bar. Other aspects of the service were weird too--- we were a group of three, so we were not seated at a table for four and instead, a third chair was brought to a tiny table for two that couldn't hold all of the dishes ordered. In short, absolutely awesome chicken--- which is what we came for, but an inexperienced staff, uncomfortable seating, and not kid friendly at all. My plan is to give it a couple of months for the owner to work out the rough spots and try it again when the chicken cravings are too much to resist. Awesome food. Bad experience. read more

Bonchon is some my favorite Korean​ fried chicken that I have had, and I have Korean​ fried chicken in Korea. Our food (half and half wings) came out super quick. The seasoned fries were also really good... unique for sure. The staff was nice and attentive. My boyfriend's only complaint was that the pickled radish did not come with free 'refills', however,​ I would guess this is a company policy? Anyway, it didn't bother me too much. I think some of the original reviews are way too harsh. The people who are upset went during a soft opening period.... isn't the point of that time to work out any kinks? I would highly recommend​ Bonchon if you are looking to try Korean style fried​ chicken. I am excited to go back! read more

I don't usually do reviews but this experience made me want to share with anyone who is thinking about going here. 1. REALLY EXPENSIVE for what you get. 8 wings (small order) is over $1 per wing, think about it. That's ridiculous. 2. Menu pictures and what you actually get is NOT THE SAME. Pork buns show a big thick slice of pork belly in photo on the menu. What you get is specks...flecks (whatever is smaller) of pork and a spoonful of grocery store cole slaw. 3. Hot dog water soup asian style. Tasted awful. It's a rip off and not worth the money. Popular right now because it's new and has a good company reputation, but local franchise owner is seriously cutting corners for profit and you'll suffer. read more

I had a coupon so I tried this place out last week, and it was great. The chicken was a bit dry, but worth the crispy nature. The attendants were nice and when the pork belly came out a little dry they immediately refunded it. Great fast service, and I suggest checking them out during lunch, as they have some great prices. Bon chon Stapleton is the best! Amazing service no matter the time of day and the owner and staff are super friendly. This was bombdotcom! I never clean a wing completely.....until tonight! The wings were super crispy and delicious! We also had the potstickers that were pretty good too. The pickled reddish was a different flavor but also pretty good. I love cream soda and this one hit the spot. The food was great and so was the service. I'm only giving 4stars because the space was super crowded and there was no space to wait while we were waiting for a table. The servers and other customers kept bumping into the table and I probably apologized and said excuse me ten times. Besides that, I will definitely get food here again! read more

Placed an online order for pick up at 9:00, received an order confirmation at 9:06 with a pickup time of 9:30. Arrived to find the kitchen dark and the only visible employee eating his dinner at the bar. He tells me they never got my order, even though I had a confirmation number and my card was charged. He then proceeded to tell me that it's no big deal - I can just call my bank and dispute the charge. Really? I spend 30 minutes driving for nothing because they wanted to get out of there early and chose to ignore my order, and my reward is that I get to spend my free time on hold with my bank to get a refund? Sent a quick note through the corporate website contact link to give them a chance to make things right in case it was just one employee having a bad night, but no reply. The quality of food at this location has been inconsistent lately, and this incident tells me all I need to know. I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

Last time I came here, the chicken were undercooked. The server didn't offer to make a fresh batch or give us a refund but instead, asked us to tear open every single chicken wings to see if they were uncooked as well. This order is for their takeout. The takeout menu is featured on their website and the first page is dedicated to the Lunch Specials, with the phone number in large type at the bottom of the page. Yet apparently you cannot call to get the lunch specials. You cannot call to get ANY takeout. You have to walk-in and order in person (ridiculous in 2018) or pay the inflated prices of their app, which does not even offer the lunch specials. read more

Literally the best fried chicken in Denver hands down!! So I've been going to Bonchon since they opened and there hasn't been a single time where they failed me with their chicken. The food overall is amazing I've had the calamari which is a new feature, their bul dak, and takoyaki balls. Their tacos are a little too creamy so not my favorite but they tasted good so can't complain. My one and only complain I've ever had here was a server one time, actually the time I had the tacos. I had one bite and it had just too much creamy sauce so, I told our server. I really wasn't expecting anything except "oh I'm really sorry you didn't like that". I mean it would've been great to get it off our check but since I had ordered it and I knew I was trying it, I decided to bite the bullet and pay for it. Instead of any of that she just said ok to my complaint and just left the tacos on the table. Other then this one incident (also never saw that server again) this place is absolutely the best! read more

Initially, we were excited to have Bonchon in Stapleton, however several conflicting experiences had changed my comfort level with this venue. I tried to give it a chance multiple times, since we live in Conservatory Green, I wanted to like it but it hasn't turned out that way by default. The staff, needs experience. The location needs more space to be a in dining location. The bar needs to be downsized and relocated away from the door. The manager needs to focus on managing rather than trying to do other staff jobs. She is all over the place. The tables are too congested. The chairs are too big. There's no flow in this restaurant. It wants to be a bar/restaurant, but it isn't spaced out enough to do that realistically. The tv is way too loud and playing sexually explicit videos, that need to be censored since my children watched the videos and could hear the explicit lyrics. That was uncomfortable to sit through. The chicken gets forgotten sometimes, after you order, check again that they put the order in queue because they do not sometimes. Make sure there is bulgogi in the taco, fyi, it's supposed to be a bulgogi taco not a cole slaw taco. For to go orders, check it before you leave, because they forget things all the time. Especially the sides you may order, so check it all. The chicken is sorta overpriced compared to rice chicken on Havana, the quantity and pricing is steep. Still trying to figure themselves out it appears, but lots to deal with especially if you're hungry, maybe don't go there's hungry because things will go wrong especially when you want to eat timely unfortunately. Almost forgot, sometimes you'll see other tables getting their food before yours, they came later than you, and you were waiting for 20 mins or so, it's also happened to us and we ask but they say, our chicken takes longer when I think they just forgot to put the order in or they served the wrong table first? So we watch them eat b4 us. Lastly, there are no condiments, no salt, pepper, soy sauce, shiracha, sesame oil or any Korean sauces, they said that corporate doesn't allow it but I've seen it at all the other locations on yelp that carry at least ketchup? So strange to not have anything at all. Oh well, if I have to bring my own anything, I may as well cook at home, or do a rice chicken run instead. We went during soft opening weekend. The layout of the restaurant was pretty poorly designed. It was wayyyy too crowded. Got seated relatively quickly and placed our order within 15 mins. About 40 min went by, our server came by and said that she must've lost our ticket during the soft opening craziness. We replaced our order and asked to speak to the manager to make sure that our order would be expedited/prioritized. The manager apologized and agreed to do so. Another hour went by, our server never checked on us during this whole time. We finally got a plate of potsticker while seeing plates and plates of fried chicken being served to other tables who arrived later than us. Asked to speak to the manager again to see if our food would be ready in the next 10 min because we've been there for 2 hours and only got one plate of potstickers. I think what I am the most upset about was the second time the manager came by, her response was "I'm really sorry but I can't control the kitchen." I'm not sure what she's managing if she can't simply divert one of the 10+ plates of fried chicken that were served. Left without getting any real food. I don't think I've ever experienced such terrible service before. read more
