Jen has been doing my hair for years. She is an amazing stylist which shows in her work. I dont trust anyone else with my hair.

I was there on time, she was finishing up another client and I waited at least 30-45 minutes in the hallway with no explanation after the scheduled time of the appointment. I had paid a deposit saying I would be there So I wasn't going to leave and forfeit my payment. When she finally got to me she explained ed it had been am emergency she had been working on since that morning. Also she did not explain thr cost of her service for cut or anything. It is costly, and for waiting as long as I did it was disappointing to feel like my time didn't matter. My hair cut was nice, however I don't feel like I will return. read more

You might want to reconsider if you're scheduling an appointment with Jen. I've used her for a couple of years and I can't remember but maybe one or two times she was on time for the appointment. There was one time my sister and I had an appointment with her and she had us wait two hours because she fitted somebody in that didn't even have an appointment for hair extensions. I guess she only likes people with long hair and extensions so she can make money. She claims I complained about my hair she was doing and that is not true. I complained because we were always having to wait 30 mins to 2 hours. I'm sure she will respond saying my sister and I were not happy with her service, but it was more of having to wait so much time after our appointment time. She has also left color on our hair and went and ran some errands. My last appointment I was supposed to have was on a Friday at 5:30. She texted me the Sunday prior saying she wanted to change it to two days earlier Wednesday, 6:00 PM. I said sure, no problem. My sister and I are used to our appointments being changed. She then text me on Tuesday, the day prior to the appointment she rescheduled and said that she had to go to her son's school for senior and decorate his locker and she had to be there and wanted to know if I could come in back on that Friday before work and that she would come in anytime to do my hair. I told her I couldn't do that because I leave for work at 6:30 am which meant I would have to be at her place by 4:30 in the morning and I just can't do that. I texted her and asked her when she can get me in and I never heard from her. I text her again, never heard from her. My sister text her, and she replied, saying she didn't reply to me because she didn't have no time and that she had offered me appointments and I couldn't do them. Wow, you changed the first one then you changed the second one and then because I couldn't come in at 4:30 on a Friday morning to have my hair done prior to work, you just decided that I complained and you weren't the best fit for me. My sister and I are the easiest going people, never complained about our hair other than sometimes we walked in and we wanted our hair darker or we wanted our hair lighter, that wasn't a complaint against her that was just our preference. Well...if you pride yourself with professionalism, then take this comment with a grain of salt. Try improving your system of booking first time clients. You may be great at doing hair but it all starts at the initial appointment. Maybe, letting your potential clients know that you have changed the name of your salon is a great start so we don't look for your place when GPS already tells us we are in the right spot but still can't find your boutique since there are a myriad other shops including other salons in your area. Also, do not leave your salon when that 30 minute allotted time is not up yet or at least give your client a call to let them know you are leaving. Or maybe have someone from your salon know where you are at the time of the appointment because they have to call you since they also don't know where you went when you already booked a consultation for someone. So she told me Brooke would help me and I was in good hands. Well I showed Brooke a picture of the cut I wanted, she said ok. She chopped my hair up, left my bangs long. I see Jen here and she's amazing! I had virgin hair when I came to her but wanted to try balayage. The color looks so great and when I asked her to trim it she really did just trim it, not chop it, which was great because I've been trying to grow it out. Jen is just awesome. It is always a struggle trying to find someone in this area that knows how to cut and color thin hair. I came to her with harsh blonde foil lines at my roots when what I wanted was a highlight touch up and to keep my natural brown in between. She fixed it for me by blending the lines and putting some lowlights back in, since I was almost all blonde at that point from someone else having taken big pieces too close together. These pics are not right after that appointment but after my 3rd visit to her (I like to wait on posting reviews because consistency when a stylist does my hair is important to me). She has done a great job every time, actually listens AND understands when I ask her about something, and values my wishes. She does a fantastic job on the cut and long layers and never takes off a large amount (unless that's what you want). She has also done a balyage/babylight on my sister which was blended beautifully.
