I had such a great experience at Walgreens tonight. I came in pretty stressed because I realized last minute that I forgot to pick up a poster board I had printed for my grandma's funeral, and I also hadn't printed about 40 photos I needed. Even though my photo order said it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow, the employees were so kind right from the moment I walked in. They were helping other customers, but still acknowledged me and directed me to the photo counter right away. The employee there grabbed my poster board and offered to print my photo order on the spot, letting me know it would just take about 5 minutes. That alone meant so much to me in that moment. But what really stood out is that he went out of his way to find me in the store once everything was ready and personally handed me my order. During such a difficult time, that level of kindness and effort truly meant everything. I'm so grateful for the compassion and customer service I received tonight. I experienced blatant racial profiling and unacceptable treatment at this store, and I will not be returning. When my card was declined, (due to old systems ) the cashier refused to assist me or communicate professionally. Despite having both my ID and card-she offered no help other than questioning, "Are you sure that's your card?" She never explained that the machine was malfunctioning or that there was an option to bypass the PIN by pressing the yellow button. I only found that out 35-40 minutes on the phone with my bank, trying to resolve the issue myself. The situation could have been de-escalated much earlier Instead, she stood silently, refusing to void the transaction which only escalated the scene unnecessarily. She eventually called for assistance, but only after I insisted on both that and voiding the transaction- This behavior was discriminatory, humiliating, disgusting and entirely avoidable. It is unacceptable in any setting-especially in 2025. I felt targeted based on my full name, which reflects my Cuban heritage, and treated with suspicion rather than respect. It was clear that this was more than a customer service failure-it was rooted in bias. This is how walgreeens treats Latino customers with accents and ethnic names in 2025 is how I see this now- I urge corporate to take this complaint seriously- Review your staff's training on cultural sensitivity and discrimination . Worst pharmacy I've ever experienced by far. They do not answer their phones. My husband and I have literally waited almost an hour on the phone and will stay on hold, drive down there and go to the pharmacy in person and there will be no one in line and they are doing nothing. Goo lied to us saying they can't transfer prescriptions from different Walgreens. I work in medical so I know that is false. When we asked for a manager she was suddenly able to do that. Interesting. I have asked them to add my phone number to my account multiple times and they never do. My husband had an appointment for a vaccine and they didn't bother to tell him they didn't have it until after he arrived. Ugh seriously I could go on and on about how I hate this pharmacy. Horrible pharmacy and horrible customer service. Long wait times and be unorganized. Called in a refill on Saturday was notified by text that order was out of stock on Monday. Checked back on Wednesday and still out of stock! Said to check back on Friday. Meanwhile I'm out as of Wednesday, so much for trying to be proactive. Tried to transfer my prescriptions over to the Beaumont branch and they couldn't see my profile. I'm done with Walgreens will go back to Rite Aid or try a local mom and pop pharmacy instead. Oh, also picked up a prescription and received mine and subwoofer else's with the same last name! Didn't notice until I got home and returned it the next day. What a mess! read more

Illegal practices at this WALGREENS Calimesa, California pharmacy. NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist is making the decisions of a medical doctor instead of doing her basic job, which is to fill medication as instructed. She has blackballed me at this pharmacy writing false accusations in my pharmacy chart in order to discredit me as a person suffering from acute and chronic pain that I have had to deal with for the past 20 yrs! I am a 69 yr old senior citizen who can't get my medication filled here because NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist refuses to take my suffering seriously. If anyone is not aware there is a national drug shortage of Percocet. I have been taking this pain medication for the past 5+ years due to medical history of LUPUS, Fibromyalgia, Sjogren's syndrome and chronic back pain that in turn causes acute and chronic pain that I am suffering from on a DAILY basis. Due to the Percocet drug shortage -my Pain Medicine MD wrote me a prescription for an alternative pain medication in early December. This medication did not control my pain very well so a week later - I reached out to Walgreens pharmacy to see if they had my regular pain medication back in stock. The pharmacy staff said they did finally have Percocet back in stock and that I needed to get ANOTHER Rx sent in by my Pain DM and I did so. Then NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist refused to fill the second prescription due to me having just received the other alternative pain medication. I said that I understood that but it did not control my pain very well. I offered to return the pain medication I just received in order to get my Percocet pain medication filled instead. NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist called my Pain doctor's office stating that I was "drug seeking" even though MY PAIN management MD wrote BOTH prescriptions!!! THE SAME DOCTOR's OFFICE wrote BOTH prescriptions. All I wanted was the Percocet pain medication I have been taking for the past 5+ years!!! I am 69 years old and suffering. I again contacted NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist and she told me that now the medication is again in short supply. NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist stated to me that she will only dispense it to people with...certain "priority medical conditions" that SHE DEEMS WORTHY of treating their pain. I asked NORA how she DETERMINES WHAT TYPE OF PATIENT has a "priority medical condition" in receiving PRESCRIPTION pain medication and who does not. I asked NORA the SENIOR PHARMACIST at WALGREENS if this "priority medical condition" pain medication dispensing POLICY is based on a WALGREENS pharmacy policy, a CALIFORNIA BOARD OF PHARMACY policy or is she using her own personal criteria? NORA the Senior pharmacist then hung up the phone on me. NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist refused to answer my question. My MEDICAL DOCTOR prescribed this medication for me based on my medical problems. I have also reached out to my MEDICARE insurance company to assist me. I don't know what else to do. I have been going to this WALGREENS in CALIMESA, California for the past 10 years and have never been treated so poorly by any medical professional. NORA, Senior Manager Walgreens pharmacist has no right to label me or discredit how I feel physically based on HER OWN PERSONAL BIASES!! Getting there: This location is right off of Calimesa Blvd in the new shopping center. There are plenty of parking spots all around the building. Experience: I like this Walgreens because it's clean and convenient. I've been here to purchase products as well as pick up medication. Fixed my prescription and lowered my copay, have been dealing with my doctors office for months needing insurance approval and she magically found a way to get my medication covered, I only ask for her now she is great! Just went through the prescription drive-thru. It was even slower than normal. When I got to the window the person there opened the drawer halfway and shouted through the gap. This place has been going down hill since Covid and was never great to start with. Much if the time you get a surly attitude from the employees. The pharmacy section at this Calimesa location is the most dysfunctional and incompetent pharmacy I have ever dealt with. 2 years ago I transferred all my prescriptions to the Redlands location and took them off automatic refill. The Calimesa pharmacy continues to refill them even after my multiple calls telling them to stop. 2 years now!! My husband had to call his prescriptions in 3 times this week and also go there in person because they wouldn't refill due to needing authorization from MD. The MD sent In the authorization 4 days ago! Go to CVS pharmacy in Yucaipa if you can and avoid this place because they will cause you nothing but headaches. read more

This Walgreens is ridiculously stupid. I ordered an online order and pulled up to pick up curbside. I waited 8 mins before going inside to be told the power went out a little bit ago and couldn't be helped. It was an online order that didn't need to be paid for. I also explained it was medicine my daughter needed because she had just got out urgent care and needed her next dose of Motrin. She would not give me my order and kept blaming the power being out. The power was out for 2 mins before I came and had already waited 8 mins in the car (the power was already back on before I pulled up). The employees are rude and useless. Purchased a $50 Starbucks gift card on Feb. 17, 2021 for my daughter. Received the regular receipt and an electronic card activation receipt. My daughter called a couple days later and said she tried the gift card and the Starbucks employee said there was zero balance on the card. The employee also checked and said there was NEVER a balance on the card! She called the number on the card and was told she had to bring it back to the issuing store (Walgreen's, 1186 Calimesa Bl., Calimesa CA 92320). My wife took the card and receipts in on Feb. 24th and talked to shift manager Linda. Linda said they don't refund gift cards. Linda was told we didn't want a refund, we just wanted a card that actually had a $50 balance. Linda said there was nothing she could do and we would have to call the number on the card. We told her we did call the number and they said there was zero balance and we would have to bring it back where we purchased it, which was her store. Linda took my wife's information and said the store manager would be in on Feb. 25th and would give her a call, which he didn't. My wife went back in on the 25th and was told by "Linda" that the manager didn't come in today and she (my wife) would just have to deal with corporate. LISTEN LINDA....we will deal with corporate!! Basically at this point, they stole $50 from us. It will get resolved, but even if it is in our favor, we are done with this store. I called in my husband's rx refill two weeks ago, 5 days later they called him to let him know it was ready, so I showed up, waited in line for 30 min and was told it's not ready. Then why did you call?? The gal at the counter didn't seem to know what was going on, so I left and called everyday since for a week and was told it's not ready, tried to call a manager and got the run around, until today, when I was getting ready to call somewhere else, literally 2 weeks after I called it in its ready. Now I've been waiting in line for about 30 min again, and there's 3 cars ahead of me that haven't moved since I've been here. WTF is going on? My husband can't wait two weeks for medication every time! I hate being THAT person but the incompetence here is just out of control. I scheduled an appt. for my teenager to get her first Covid vaccine and waited 10 minutes at the check in window. There must have been 20 people waiting in the pick up pharmacy line and others as well all clustered together some with masks some without. Finally a worker asks why I was there and I told them I had an Appt. and was told the Pharmacist was going to lunch and I had to wait 45 minutes! Who treats people like this? I walked out and will never return to Walgreens again if this is how you people run your store. Rite Aid doesn't do this.
