The last 3 times I've tried to wash my SUV there they have made some excuse of not being able to. Twice I've been told by the guy that writes you the ticket that they have nobody and it would be a while before they did a hand Car Wash almost like they didn't want to do it. Today's excuse was they closed the hand car wash at 3:20 by one person and another person told me 345 and then another person told me 3 o'clock. According to them, it's the owner's fault. They don't have enough people and that they get automatically clocked out at 4 o'clock. They always have an excuse. First of all, this place does a great job, especially considering the cost. Helpful hint though: - get there before they open, there WILL be a line. And, there doesn't seem to be anyone policing the line so today, 2 cars cut the line and it was incredibly annoying (hence, the lost star). Very disappointed with the lack of cleaning vehicle. I talked with the staff in store and walked around to show how the simplest tasks were overlooked. Floor mats filthy cup holders not wiped out and vacuum not done. Just to name a few there is absolutely much more missed or just plain not done. Will not be going back. Super great place to make a quick stop to get gas, go to the restroom, and walk the dog. Their bathrooms are inside with no extra special key to unlock it. Their service is extremely friendly and no one rushes you to do anything. We were parked by the pump for about 10 minutes and nobody rushed us out. Thank goodness because we had my little nephew who needed to use the bathroom badly and a dog in the car who needed some air. They also have a very busy carwash where people were waiting around for their cars to be cleaned. This was our pitstop just before reaching Idyllwild. read more

Amazing results, detailed oriented, great price. Only one small issue. I had messaged the business on Sunday afternoon(June 6) to ask if I needed an appt to get my car washed and wax. I received a reply the next day on Monday morning(June 7) from Eunice. She said no appt was necessary. So I went there at approx 1030am on Tuesday(June 8). When the employee asked what kind of car wash I wanted, I told him just regular wash but I also wanted a regular hand wax too. He had another person(Jasmine) come over to me and said I would need an appt to get my car waxed. I then explained the message I received from Eunice a couple days earlier, she then said ok I could get the wax. However, in the future, I will get an appt just to be on the safe side. The hubby had been working at a jobsite that left our car super dirty and very dusty on the inside. He had a little extra time on his way to work and when he stopped to fill up his tank, he decided to get a quick carwash too. He was surprised at how fast the guys worked and what a great job they did on the car. He was very happy with the service so he decided to take my SUV. We had recently taken our dog to the vet so the inside was covered in dog hair and plus it hadn't been washed in awhile so it was pretty dirty. The guy did a pretty good job, however it took a VERY long time for him to work. We understand that it's a larger vehicle so it would take awhile longer, but this was almost to the point of excessiveness. It seemed as though he didn't want to work on other vehicles so he was going as slow as possible on ours so he wouldn't have to. There were other SUV's that came after ours, and they left before ours receiving just as much detail and care as ours. When you've got small kids you have a small window before they start losing their minds from being cooped up so you do things that are supposed to be fast. This place is normally that place, but this guy was on a whole different level. Although he did a good job, his lack of time management is what knocked this review down one star. We will still come here because the quality of service is good for a decent price (unless you have little kids and have to wait awhile...then you spend a fortune on snacks trying to keep them happy! haha). read more

Let me start by saying this place is great as long as your vehicle can pass through the tunnel wash. My rims won't allow this for me. I've been going there for a number of years now but....things have changed. You can't schedule a hand wash or detail. Thay are always "too busy" or "understaffed" (per Jasmin). I have NEVER been disappointed. This year I brought my Jeep from Maryland. I stopped in AZ, where I went offroading before arriving in Cali. My jeep was absolutely filthy from the trail in AZ. The Oak Valley Chevron car wash got my Jeep shined up beautifully!! Then we went to Big Bear, where I did three more harsh trails. Once again, the jeep was absolutely filthy to the point you couldn't even tell what color it was, and they got her clean and gorgeous inside and out! This is not an easy vehicle to wash, but they were consistent both times. Amazing job! I truly appreciate heading back home in a nice clean vehicle. read more

I don't usually rate gas stations, but I want to comment on the attentiveness and empathetic nature of the manager, Eunice. I've in SF, but am moving to Nashville. I had just purchased a new (to me) car. It happens to be a BMW and sort of a splurge for me. I drove it down from SF and wanted to have it washed before I drove it across the country. My sister lives in Beaumont and said people rave about this car wash. I've never been through a machine type of washer. I went through and I was so sad because there was a small scratch on my passenger side car. I actually broke down in tears. The attendant did something amazing to make it almost disappear! The next day I saw that my windshield was filled with bumpy stuff. I hesitated to go back because I was already the "crying, but nice but strange new-car girl," but I love this car and I wanted to have it cleaned. Eunice, the car wash manager, came out and explained to me what had happened and that it was likely from dust on the freeway. While it wasn't a car wash issue, she said she would clean it for me I wasn't sure I believed her, but she asked me if she could show me. So she cleaned it off and VOILA, my car was like new again. She didn't have to clean it for me, but she did AND she took the time to explain why it happened. I appreciate her attention to my car and for not belittling me! read more

I don't mind paying $40 for a hand wash but it will take 20 min for them to pull someone off the line just to get started. More expensive car washes details, etc should not be put on the back burner. Used the car wash and was favorably impressed with the service and quality of work. This is a no hustle no hassle type of place. You stay in your car while going thru the suds but when you exit the tunnel, you exit your vehicle and the car wash folks polish it inside and out. Found the polishing much better than average as one person stays with your car start to finish as the vehicle moves forward. Tips are appreciated and these guys collect a lot of them as their work is much better than most washes. read more
