Terrible gas station. Can't use credit card at the pump and when you go inside to pay you have to give an amount, which they charge a 3% surcharge for credit. Then if you don't user the full amount they ran your card for, you have to go back inside to get a credit. They are still living in 2005 here, will never be back. read more

On my way to a late night service call@ ~1am, in the town of Beaumont, CA; I found myself stopping at this location for gas and some random odds and ends. just after which I was going over notes and confirm exactly where, in this town, I was going/needed..... just prior to departing from the #2 gas pump that I had just finished pumping gas at ~ 5- 10min before. (note: at the time, ~1am, there wasn't a single other vehicle that pulled into this location for any reason during my Total time at the location... being~ 20min) when the attendent came up to my service truck and said that "I am not allowed to just sit, parked at a pump for any reason! And that I needed to depart that location asap! ?? I ask if they were ok? Or there was something up? Or going on? And they said "I am going bac inside the store and I'll be calling the cops, I suggest you head off Now" and walked away back into the store. Super odd and sketchy ppl? Beaumont is the best of towns but it's not some 'back woods 2ppl town w/ a random guy playing a banjo out in front of the place..... ? but perhaps it's a bit odd ball then I had assumed???! I have gone here many times in the past for my propane but tonight the guy working refuses to help me stating they don't sell propane after sunset, so I asked is this your way of not doing your job because there is no sign posted about a cut off time and he said he just doesn't want to do it, so now I will right a bad review every day until he is fired or disciplined well enough he respects Arco customers. This is the WORST gas station I've have ever been to. I stopped there today and the pump was malfunctioning because I had it clipped on and should automatically click off. Not at this gas station! Gas was going everywhere at least 3 feet in all directions. I was in shock another customer yelled for help and then it seemed to slow down. When the manager came out he began yelling at me! This is the worst gas station I've ever been to. They DO NOT accept credit cards. After trying to use my debit card, they charge you a non negotiable $0.35 fee. After accepting it, I went to pump gas and the pump stopped working after my total got to $0.50. I went inside to use the bathroom and buy candy. Bathroom was disgusting and the candy is not priced accurately. The label says one total and it rings up completely different. was using the bathroom and one of the workers wouldn't stop knocking on the door. very rude.

My review the last couple of times we have stopped to get gas a lot of customers have been complaining about the gas station playing all spanish music they feel these people are in America not Mexico. Play their music in their own homes don't push it down other people throats. Don't even play music if you can't play the american songs. If you hate america don't stay here. Can't be just 1 nationality their are several in this county. So as far as we are concern to go to that gas station. Owner needs to wake up. read more

I went into this arco for gasoline. Went in to pay . I had 1-twenty, 1-ten, 1- five. Went back out to pump my gas and at 10.00 dollars it stopped. Back in I go and tell cashier my pump stopped. She said it's because your 10.00 bill is fake. I have to keep the bill. I said may I see it. After 5 minutes of her not wanting to let me see,she hands me the bill. The customer next to me also had a ten and we compared bills they looked the same. I said what makes you think it's fake ? She says I did the pen test. I also work retail and she said it turned the wrong color. I said no, what color do you think it should be and she didn't know. I than asked for manager or owner. She said I will call him . She came back and said sorry I'm just doing my job. I said than let's call police . She says go ahead . I said don't you have the number handy. She says if you want to call them figure it out. Back I go to car find the number and call police. I was there at this gas station close to 2 hours. The police show up . He says I think the bill is good but I will have to take it to station and run tests. Than the owner shows up. He says let me get you your money and a free car wash. That was nice but the cashier should have taken my name and number and said after the first ten minutes the owner will call you. I actually went back in again and handed her a paper with all my info which she replied I'm not going to call you the money is fake. I guess at 24 your an authority on fake money? It wasn't the money it's how the situation was handled that was so wrong. I will never go back after that. I spent a lot of money here . Filling up my car every week. I received an email from the manager of this Arco after I contacted Arco headquarters & posted a yelp review. I was offered an apology, a $20 gift certificate. l won't be accepting either which probably says more about me than the management of this Arco. I did add a star to my review since he did respond to my complaint to Arco headquarters. BTW, the cashiers at this Arco have always been pleasant and helpful. Convenient for close people in area and near highway but coming from the west heading east it can be difficult to enter, also the 2 card machines have been down for a few weeks now everyone must go inside, then they said they can't take credit card payment only ATM debit or cash, that is a bummer, but usually their prices are low compared to other stations. Don/t waste your time going to this ARCO for propane refill. They have invested in a large Billboard at the junction of the E60 and the 10 in Beaumont, CA. stating they have propane for $2.00/gal. Since reading this a month ago, I have carried my empty propane can in my car waiting for the opportunity to fill it up along with my car. Today, October 11, 2014 at 8:30 am I stopped by and was told by the attendant that they only had a staff of two and the other girl was just starting to make hotdogs, so I would have to wait 10 to 15 minutes. Bummer, I left without filling up my car or my propane tank. I suspect the propane tank has a rather long ROI since they probably don't sell enough propane to pay the rent on it. Additionally, they should take down the freeway sign since they cannot actually provide the service.... read more

My experience at this Arco was the worst I have ever had. They charged .75 to use my credit card. I questioned the clerk and he told me that most people do not use credit and that they need to use a "special machine". I was tired and traffic on the 10 was terrible so I said O.K. But driving the rest of the way home in Palm Desert I started to think about how rude he had been and I have NEVER been charged at a gas station to use a credit card. When I got home, I called to speak with the manager and things got much worse. He said to me "what is your problem?" and told me to get a better life. I do not know if I had been charged the fee at the pump, but will return to see what happens. This place is a rip off and I suggest using other gas stations in the area that do not charge a fee. It might be cheap, but it's also inconvenient. There are only two machines outside that accept payment , the cash option does not work, and the card reader declined my card repeatedly. Going inside , the girls are busy chatting rather than helping me. I was trying to have a quick fast stop off the freeway, but I was wrong. I pumped gas here when raining and silly me shoulda thought twice about it. The gas truck was there pumping the gas into the floor. Well I fill up my car. Go home, next morning go to get into my car and it wouldn't start....I know it's not the battery because it was replaced car sounded scary. Paid cash for fuel at the pump and the cashier could see me through the business window. After the machine took my money, the cashier either zeroed out or cancelled the transaction and the receipt would not print. Went inside the Arco and informed the cashier that cash was paid at the pump and no fuel dispensed, he said the fuel was already pumped. After a dispute with the cashier and the Arco manager, I started to call the police when the manager then checked the pump gas machine. The manager then stated he would pump the fuel minus one dollar. I told him I wanted what was paid for and then he checked the pump's fuel receipt dispenser. The dispenser was jammed full with printed receipts including my receipt showing the paid amount with zero fuel pumped. I believe this tactic of keeping customer's money has occurred at this Arco before. read more

I was at the Arco in Beaumont (450 E. 1st Street - corner of Beaumont Ave. and 1st Street.) Upon exiting their Car Wash in 2018, after completing the drying process I turned left toward their exit on 1st street and hit something I absolutely could not see - it stopped my car, I backed up, turned right and then saw what it was. They had a concrete wall maybe 14" high which extended approximately 5-8' beyond the exit of the car wash on the left. It dented two panels of my car, removing all paint. I could not understand why it was even there and why it wasn't marked in any way. No sign said right turn only. Why didn't they have something stuck in it so you could see it! A metal pole, flag, a sign, anything to make it visible to unsuspecting users of the car wash. About a month later I saw where they put up three poles for people to see - so obviously I wasn't the only person that had hit that wall. I then went into the Arco and told them what had happened to my car and that I felt they should assume responsibility for the repair. They were very snotty and the manager told me that they should sue me for the damage I probably did to their wall. I recently got an estimate and it was $2,680.76 to repair. I then decided to file a small claims court action, and would encourage others to do the same. read more
