I went in today for a few items Cashier Cristi was rude to every single person in line , no people skills, Slams your groceries. One of the customers in front of us asked a question about a product and she rudely answered and continued to slam items in bag. I'm surprised someone with that attitude would be placed as a cashier. Craving for taquitos, Smart and Final have a special promo deal if you purchase $40 worth of frozen dish who's participating, you get a $10 coupon. My was the Jose Ole Taquitos. And writen below price label if your wondering if there one of them who's participating. Gotten what i wanted plus more. Gotten the $10 coupon supposed to spend on next shopping trip. Had to spend right away after dropping off my groceries went back to get my favorite fabric soften to used my $10 coupon just added extra since over $10. They had a Russet Potatoes labeled for $2.99 said old price. She still honored price shown. And a customer infront of me couldn't access her digital coupon for her bacon. The selection here is limited. They dont have many fruits, vegetables, or meats. The store is very small and difficult to navigate with a shopping cart. Staff is friendly but jokes around a lot with each other. I wasnt in the mood for it. I bought a few things here and got the bulk of what i needed at Stater Bros. Next time i will head to the store in Highland. read more

This grocery store is terrible to go to. They don't have anything it's useless. Very very small can barely fit a cart through the isles. The choices are poor not daily necessities and the pricing is high. Not to add NO PRODUCE OR MEAT literally there's a small fridge with a couple items to choose from. Pathetic. read more

I really like this Smart & Final. It's clean, very nice people & very helpful. Yesterday I went to get some groceries at Smart & Final, this location. It was way different than other visits, way more employees than usual a lot of young employees. I was at the deli & cheese dept. when I heard a young man(employee) saying to himself, " this sucks, me having to fix someone mistakes" he went on mumbling things, upset & throwing boxes to the ground. He also yelled from one end to another to another employee and asked her "do u know what sucks" (rhymes with sucks) As I was paying for my groceries a employee came to cashier to let her know that the store had just received 800 turkeys. When I went home I felt upset, tired, worried it wasn't a pleasant trip. read more

Bad review not for store but for C.E.O. That probably has never visited the store. Footprint of store is terrible , have to play musical cart when shopping due to narrow aisles. Register location is terrible, next to busiest aisle. Coolers in stores are always broken. Parking lot sucks , have to share it with delivery trucks. Feel like it is a store that has been overlooked for quite some time. 'M sure employees are trying their best with what they were given. This must be the smallest smart in final in the world. Then again, it is located in banning, so I guess the size is pretty acceptable. All kidding side, the deals here are okay I guess. The building is really old & is in serious need of a remodel. The parking lot is gigantic. It may be wise to use some of that space to expand the store. Regardless of size of store, Its all about bulk, which is what I need. Since there isn't a costco in the area, this will be thee next best thing. read more

The parking lot sucks, but that's not their fault I guess. Otherwise I love this store! It's really the only decent grocery store to buy bulk far enough east to be convenient. The folks that work there have made an effort to connect with me and help me find what we need. I would love to see more cases of orange monsters in stock! I've lived in Banning for 15 years but I've never been to Smart and final mostly because the last two years I've been disabled on oxygen 24 hours a day. Myra, The store manager Was the only business in town to help me get toilet paper and disinfectant spray for my house. I had sent Instacart out four times but nobody would put anything aside for me and of course when they got there everything was gone. Mayra said she would put toilet paper aside for me and if I could just drive to the store she would come out to my car and get my credit card from my trunk and shop for me and put the toilet paper and disinfecting spray in my car which she did herself the next day. I cannot say enough good things about her and this store. They are open at 7 AM. We should support local businesses who have a caring heart toward our community. Thank you so much To Myra. Poorly stocked , understaffed. The freezer foods we're empty yet you could see dozens of boxes of unopened foods in the back just sitting there. Much of the produce was rotten. Only one very slow cashier at 6pm with the line going to the back of the store. Broken glass on the floor and many Homies not wearing masks in this crowded little place. Very Ghetto to say the least. Winco or Food 4 less so much better. Dirty, diseased, Covid infested place. My advise is to stay far away read more

Very old, crowded store. Not at all like the Smart & Final stores I am used to shopping. However, it is what it is...an old store in a not-so-good part of town and a blessing, I am sure, to neighborhood shoppers. I made a list this morning before I went shopping. I got the items and prices from on-line website. I was ready to shop and save some money. Well, that didn't happen! The prices were not the same as advertised, most of the items were not there, some items more costly than other stores. I left and went to Stater's. What can I say....won't go back! I wish Smart & Final would build a new, better store somewhere around Highland. I know it would do great. But for this store, don't waste your time! read more

Purchased 25 packs of hot dog and hamburger buns for a party. When we opened the packages of the hamburger buns they were moldy, even though the expiration date was still five days away. Because we were having the party outside we were not able to save the hamburger buns to return to the store. When I called the store to let them know, they didn't seem to care that we wasted money having to send someone to the store in the middle of our party to get more hamburger buns. They have bad quality products and not very good customer service. I won't be shopping there again. read more
