I have been looking for a hair dresser for a while now (about a year). I've tried a couple of really nice ladies, but they didn't quite get what I was going for with my blonde hair. I'd always end up with dark Grey toners and heavy root shadows ( which I don't care for too much). I have also had someone do my highlights very chucky and sloppy before. Emily was highly recommended by a couple of friends. After last night's experience, I now see what the hype was all about! First, I have a crazy schedule and it's not always easy to schedule appointments. That does not hold true with Emily. She worked around my schedule and booked me for a 7pm appointment. If I could give this girl 10 stars I would! Let me start of by saying. I have gone to so many different hair stylist and no one absolutely no one has impressed me like Emily. I am the most stubborn and indecisive person. So I went to do my hair 2 weeks ago at another place and they did not do a good job! I hated my hair, it was turning yellow. I called her back and she wouldn't fix it until 3 weeks from now. I didn't want to wait. I've frequented several popular salons throughout the area, and while they weren't bad, none of them have provided the kind of detail and care that Emily does. With every request I make, she takes my hair type, color, and lifestyle into consideration. Ex: When I first started playing around with coloring, she wouldn't entertain the thought of doing an all-over color because she knew I'd never keep up with the maintenance - even if I tried ;) Instead, I walked out with highlights that could grow out gracefully. On top of watching out for me on the front-end, she tied things up on the back-end with a 1-week follow up just to make sure everything was looking good. She's always been available through email/messaging to bounce around ideas and inquiries. I've never worked with someone so accessible, thorough, and willing to educate. Look, I'm sure if you took the time to develop a relationship with your stylist, you might get a similar experience but with Emily, you get the most personalized care on your first visit. If you could care less about all of that, just know you'll always walk out with a great cut that seriously LASTS. I finally found my hair stylist close to where I live. I messaged her for an appointment and she replied that same hour and even squeezed me into her schedule the same day. I needed to get my hair back to natural due to my pre-graduation photos that was just in the next 3 days and was afraid I can't get it done since it was so last minute. Emily was the sweetest!
