I had an appointment with Dianna Sanchez on May 4 for a balayage which I received. I reached out to Dianna 2 weeks later to let her know that the color she used on my root had already washed out and all of my grays were showing. I inquired to see if a Demi permanent product was used but was assured that a permanent was used. 5 days after notifying her that I was unhappy with my hair Dianna finally reached back out to me to offer to correct my hair at 7am on one of three days (my original appointment was at 11). When I replied stating that yes, I would take the second day offered she responded stating that it was already taken and could have the third day. I informed her that I was scheduled to work and that would not be possible to make. At this point I made an appointment with my regular stylist (who does not do balayage) for a root touch up as I am unwilling to be seen in public with the hair I was left with. I reached out again to Dianna, this time to see about refunding me the price of a root touch up, not the entire service, as she was unable to accommodate me in appropriate manner, and she replied that she does not offer refunds but would redo my hair. At this pint I have already had to have someone else redo my hair and I will no longer be going to someone who cannot stand behind their work and handle their mistakes timely or appropriately. read more

I've been coming to Laura for almost a year now, and nothing but good things about this girl- her personality and especially her work! She makes being in the salon very comfortable and as if you're going to the salon to hangout with your girls. She does wonders to my hair. She asks me what I want done to my hair and listens to EXACTLY what I'm saying. My hair is a very dark brown, almost looking black naturally. I came into Laura with very caramel looking, grown out balayage. First time, I saw her she made me ash blonde and blended the color very well with my natural hair color. So let me start off with the appearance of the salon, its absolutely gorgeous. It's clean, airy, and a welcoming environment. The entire staff is amazing, and very nice. This is my story, I've been blonde/platinum for 7 years. Out of the blue I decide to dye my hair black, yes BLACK. And it gets better, I quickly grew tired of it and missed my white hair. My brilliant idea....go to Sally's beauty supply buy some bleach and color stripper...(thinking I'd save a few bucks, now it's if I'm lucky enough to save a few hairs on my head) entirely my own fault. Resorting to plan b, CALL MAYRA IN TEARS. My hair was falling out. In HUGE clumps. I couldn't even brush it. I reached out to Mayra pretty late at night explaining myself, she said come in the morning and I'm fixing your hair. And she did EXACTLY that. Next morning I got to elsewhere salon and Mayra began working on my hair, she deep conditioned it and worked on my melting hair, did I mention I was bridesmaid that weekend?! There was no way I was going to be walking down that aisle bald. After conditioning, and dying my hair a light brown my hair bounced back in ONE WEEK! amazing! From rubber band like hair to amazing strong hair and I was a bridesmaid with hair! Yay! :) Fast forward three weeks, I'm back at the salon. It's a joy to be there, I absolutely love it. I looked forward to it all week after making my app. Mayra greeted me served me a soda, and began working on my hair, now this was an intense process. I was a brunette and walked out of that salon blonde. It wasn't easy and Mayra worked very hard, and many hours. I'm extremely grateful. I almost cried in the salon seeing my blonde hair back, I can't stress how happy I am to be blonde again and it all happened in one day, oh and BTW barely any breakage! HOW AMAZING IS THAT! she truly worked magic on my hair. Thank you Mayra for all that you do and all the hours you put into my hair, she even canceled her personal plans to work on my hair, she made me feel important. I am for sure a customer for life with her. The prices are very reasonable and won't break the bank, which is amazing because services out there can be very pricey. Although my hair turned out okay, it looks nothing like I had asked for. It took 4 hours to do "highlights" which actually looks more like a single color. It seemed difficult for my hairstylist to understand what I wanted. When she left to mix the color I didn't feel confident and should have probably stuck to my gut feeling and left right then. I certainly had the time to, it took her nearly 45 + minutes to mix the color as I could hear her chatting with co-workers in the back. My hairstylist was really nice I just felt like she didn't understand what I wanted. When I explained myself several times she often gave me a puzzled look and purposed her two options again. I never had as difficult time before with other stylist at other salons. I loved the ambiance however, if you come here you need to know exactly what you want and be able to articulate the actual technique you want them to use. You can't just show them a picture. I didn't go to cosmetology school so I found it a little difficult to do that. I am used to being able to just say I want a "mixture of highlight and lowlights, blend/darken some of the current highlights that have become a little too bright due to toner coming out". read more

I want to begin by saying that without Amanda (stylist) I would have terrible photos from my recent trip to New York. She took what was a DISASTER of a hair job into something spectacular! I don't have a before and after picture, which I wish I took. The transformation was great. But I want to talk more about my experience leading up to my fabulous hair job. After my hair was completely botched I had to last minute find a place to fix my hair before I went on my trip. It was easy to book my appointment! Just went on yelp selected to make an appointment and picked the time. The next day I received a text from Amanda who asked me questions about my hair and what I the style I wanted. I was open and honest about my hair (the poor work done on it) and what I expected. She kept it real and honest, she said she will do her best to make it all work out. When I got in she did just that!! She was friendly, funny, sweet, and down to earth. She took her time with me and my hair. She spent 4.5 hours on my hair! Her services are well-priced. $25 for a haircut is great! I absolutely love the hair color, cut and style she did! My hair was incredibly soft, shiny and healthy looking. Everyone was commenting on it!! Even after going out and being in the wind all day, the softness was still there and so easy to manage. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the slight mist that comes over when rinsing out the color and shampooing. I went into get a balayage and was very transparent with me that is will take a couple of sessions to get the color I want with out damaging my hair. Mayra Blancarte quoted me $320 to get my hair platinum, and when I went, she tried bleaching my hair and I left home with an orange head, my roots were orange and the rest of my hair was black. It was horrible, I had to wear a hat to work. The next day she asked me to go again so that she can fix it. After she got me to a presentable state, she tried charging me $180 after I had already paid her $300 AND she didn't even get my hair platinum. Then she asked me to come back for a 3rd session for and additional 180$. I obviously didn't pay her for the second session. She was deceptive and I am sure she just wanted to steal my money. I came here for permanent eyebrow makeup after being referred by a friend. They are usually very busy, I would suggest that you book an appointment online. Erika was so nice and took a lot of time (like, a lot!) just working on shape before she even started the process. She gives you options as far as shape and color. It was somewhat painful (but pain is temporary!) but she took breaks and added numbing cream as needed. She really wants you to be happy with the results and I definite am!
