So I had my appointment with Cindy. This appointment was for her to fix my hair. She fixed the…read moreorange highlights the best she could to turn them more blonde. It turned out fine except for some dye left on my forehead. As I was walking up to the front desk, I already told her I was going to re-tip her prior for fixing my hair that day. Her other client was already sitting in the chairs in the front, waiting to be seen after me. Once she saw me and Cindy walk out to the front, she started to walk up towards the front desk and was kind of just standing there. I was trying to get my phone out of my bag and get to Zelle so I can re-tip Cindy. There was also another either receptionist or hairstylist who was behind the counter or front desk. I wasn't sure what she was doing. All of a sudden I hear Cindy whisper "stop losing weight. " I heard her say that, but I didn't think it was towards me. Then once again about three seconds later, I hear her say it again whispering "stop losing weight. "I then turn to Cindy and I say "are you talking to me? I weigh 150 pounds and I'm 5'4, What do you mean stop losing weight? "At this point her next client was already standing right by us, waiting to be like called back and the other stylist or receptionist not sure who she was was behind the desk also very close to us. So after I asked her if she was talking to me about stop losing Weight Cindy's next client and the stylists were receptionist were like frozen and kind of things got awkward because they heard me confront Cindy about why she said to me to stop losing weight. After I ask Cindy why she would say that to me, Cindy then says "Skinny Minnie." I then am looking her in the eyes at this point and I say back "Skinny Minnie?" I say what does "skinny mini mean?" I then am waiting for a response from her and she says "you look.... good." In a very condescending way as she blinks twice. All four of us, the stylist behind the counter, Cindy's next client, me and Cindy. It seems like time froze because it was so awkward. I don't think Cindy expected me to stick up for myself and to stay out loud and bring to light what she was whispering to me, which to me seemed like such a high school bully move. I felt like she body shamed me and bullied me that day. Then once I stuck up for myself and both girls around us heard me then Cindy tried to double back and act like she was complementing me. How can you compliment someone by telling them to stop losing weight? I'm sorry but whispering to me twice to stop losing weight? And then calling them a skinny mini after I stand my ground and tell her how can I be a skinny mini when I weigh 150 pounds and I'm 54. This happened on September 2 around 12 PM. It could've been maybe 12:05 PM. we did exchange text messages after I was crying in my car from the adrenaline and peer shock of what she had said to me and I was parked right in front of the salon so I'm sure she saw me upset. I told her to never take my kindness for weakness again, and I said I will walk into that salon and let every one of those stylist know what you said to me and let them have an opinion on it. I don't know if she treats other clients like this or if she was just angry she had to fix my hair so she was trying to lose me as a client that day and whisper some mean stuff to me and didn't think that I was gonna stick up for myself. The reason is unknown, but it is uncalled for and no one should be treated that way by their stylist, I will never go back to her. I was nothing but kind to this lady. I have text messages if the manager would like to see them and I put the correct date and time that it happened if you would like to see who was working that day and they can verify what I said was true. She never denied saying those things to me in the text messages. She just had excuses of why she said those things to me in those text messages anyways, I thought I would share my experience because I hope she's not doing this to any other girls. Shame on you Cindy.

I have been very patient and understanding within my hair lightening process but she didn't seem to care. There's like 3 different colors in my hair, some strands don't look blended at all, it's super uneven and just doesn't look good overall. I was getting more blonde put in and so was my husband and we were also getting haircuts. While she was waiting on both of us, she also had somebody else come in and she was doing their hair as well. I think because of this, the chemical was on my hair too long and my hair got really dry and damaged. She barely did a shag cut, not very noticeable from before I walked in. She was very nice person, but I have to say that working on too many people at once is probably not the best idea. I walked in there with the healthiest hair I've had in the longest time, and I walked out of there with dry damaged hair and a haircut that was average at best. We did make appointments while we were there for another visit, but we canceled them and would never go back there again.
