I had a very disappointing experience trying to do business with this company. Over the course of several days, I was repeatedly given inconsistent information and told that someone would assist me with obtaining a remote for my vehicle so I could avoid manually unlocking it. I made it clear from the beginning that I needed this urgently. I initially called on a Thursday and followed up with an in-person visit on Friday, only to find the store closed despite the lights being on. I was then instructed to return the next morning and to send my vehicle information, which I did but due to scheduling conflicts, I was unable to return that day, but I continued to follow up the following week. Each time I contacted the business, I was either told that the appropriate person was unavailable or that someone would get back to me, however, I did not receive any follow-up. I was also repeatedly asked to provide the same information multiple times, which was frustrating and inefficient. Model, Make, Year, VIN number and photos of the remote. By the following Thursday, after nearly a week of back-and-forth, I was again asked for my information as if there had been no prior communication. At that point, I expressed my frustration. I even suggested an alternative solution, providing a newer compatible remote if my original model was no longer available but the response I received was unprofessional. During my final phone call, the representative repeatedly interrupted me, did not allow me to fully explain my situation, and appeared more focused on ending the call than resolving the issue. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and mentioned that I would be reporting the experience, the representative responded in a confrontational and dismissive manner, which was completely inappropriate. The call ultimately ended with the representative hanging up on me. Overall, the lack of communication, follow-through, and professionalism made this a very frustrating experience. If the item was not available, that should have been clearly communicated from the start instead of prolonging the process and wasting my time. I would strongly recommend others proceed with caution when considering or find somewhere else completely. A customer should never be treated this way. read more

AVOID THIS LOCKSMITH! On 8/20/25, I locked myself out and called them. The locksmith arrived, immediately quoted $255 to open due to a Multi-T lock cylinder (even though my neighbor paid $155 for the same). It was a weekday evening (8:30 PM), so I agreed. He opened it in under 2 minutes. The next day, I noticed the deadbolt felt off when turning the key. Days later, I was almost locked out again, my son barely managed to open it. The deadbolt was now slanted. After checking with the lock manufacturer, Home Depot, and another locksmith, I confirmed the mortise lock works as a system--tampering with one part can affect others. The original locksmith never warned me the lock might be damaged. When I contacted the business owner, he denied responsibility, dismissed all third-party confirmations, and refused any solution. I even offered to buy a new $350 lock if they'd install it free of charge. They refused. Later, their locksmith called and admitted it "looked suspicious" and offered to install the new lock for free--but changed his mind after speaking with his boss, demanding another $200. This is not an ethical business. They caused new damage while fixing the original issue (at an inflated price) and refused to take responsibility. I've since learned many locksmiths subcontract after-hours work, leading to poor quality. Stay away from this place! read more

I would give Mike, of Bolt Locksmith, 0 stars if I could. Our apt door handle/lock broke. He removed it and installed a deadbolt ($555.00). After saying he would order a new handle/lock he did not put the order in for 3 months. Three months later he said the 'wrong size' came in. Two weeks later, when he finally came to install the lock, it was not the right size, and he charged $1,089.00. I looked up what the lock cost online and it was ~$550.00. I repeatedly asked for an itemized invoice and he refused to give me one. In total I paid him $1,644.00. This guy is a scam artist. Do not use him! read more

While working on my keys, he diagnosed problems with my car unprompted and recommended how I can go about fixing them. Avoid!!! I asked them to repair a door. They quoted $300 to $500... and ended up charging $1,400. They won't return our calls. They established a fake invoice with no address or company name on it.
