Called to have a remote for a Jaguar programmed. Most locksmiths don't get involved with Jags and had a bad happening with a company that came to us to program a Jag. Cobra's web site said they do Cobras. Spoke to several people after I first called and all were polite and understood what was needed. They called back, spoke with the technician and when he got here, took care of the problem in about 20 minutes. He also without asking gave me the broken remote and showed me what was wrong with it. I googled a place to get a second key made for my motorcycle and found this place. I called and there was no answer but I received a call back. The guy who called me back asked me the vehicle and when I told him my motorcycle he said we don't do motorcycles yet they have it listed on the internet saying they do. when I asked what the name of the place was because I called a few places he decided to hang up phone. if anyone is interested in spending their money with a rude owner that posts services online that he can't do, this is the place for you. I lost the key to my Saab and my options were limited and expensive. I found Cobra late last night and made an appointment for 11 am this morning. Ofir the locksmith was here at 1045 and 30 mins later I had a brand new working key. I saved 800$ and time. Ofir was very professional and friendly. Highly recommended. Stay away and far away .!!!! I ended up losing my keys again and contacted cobra but he was away for the month. I found another locksmith who had worked previously with the cobra guy. Once he started to disassemble he immediately called me to show me the prior work done by Cobra as you will see in pics below. The technique he used to almost fry my board and literally stripped my steering wheel shaft. I contacted Cobra to bring this to their attention and the only response I received was Happy New Year. Nothing more which means they have my money and could care less. I will never recommend them to anyone . I called 4 other places before Cobra. One said they'd get back to me and never did. One never answered. One answered and was rude, said they were busy and hung up on me. Cobra was immediately different. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and all around great. He informed me that a tech would get back to me in 15 minutes and to keep the line free. Already I was happy. The tech called and said it would be 30 minutes. He got here, called me and got to work. 10 minutes later, I had my replacement key programmed and cut. The tech was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I don't recall his name but he made it worth the extra money I paid. I was quoted less from others. I'd recommend them immensely. I waited until 11:30am. No technician arrived. No phone call from Cobra. Called them twice. Was finally told "no we can't program Porsche keyless remotes, you have to go to your dealer." Long story short, worst experience of my life. They ruined my car's computer system. It's the shadiest service I've ever seen. A white van littered with graffiti, they break into your car, then spend 2 hours doing God knows what, then leave you with a 250 dollar bill, which they don't even give you a receipt for. This "company" probably doesn't even have a printer. I could actually go on, this is me being nice. Normally I'd refuse to pay but I was basically bent over a barrel, this company has the key to get into my car and hack it's system. Be warned, don't take shortcuts. It may seem expensive to go to BMW parts department, but it's worth it not to deal with stuff like this. This "business" is a disgrace. read more

I did not have a good experience with the guy who came to open my door. I lost my keys from my house and he charged me $250. Just because was a different lock, and when I said that I would rather wait my roomate, he started to say how he wasted his time, even when I said that I would pay the visit service. I gave him $20 (the service was $15). I asked 3 times to give the $5 back and then when he left to the car, turned on the car and almost left I had to run to ask again the money. If was far from the local, I would understand, but the place is 2 blocks away from my home and as he said, he wasted 2 minutes going there. read more
