Hot food after a long day driving from Denver literally got us melting in our hotel seats. We had to wait half an hour in the car for the food due to Covid but it was worth it especially the short ribs. $20 was a fair price for the amount of meats we got and you can taste the freshness off the grill. Kimchi wasn't too spicy which was perfect for me as I longed for some simple vegetables. The Japche (sweet potato noodle stir fry) was wrapped in a foil pouch which kept its temperature - I was so thankful for that. The two items paired very well I'd planned to return on Sunday to check out more items, but they're closed on Sundays.

Staff was extremely friendly I had the spicy pork aka Samgyeopsal. This is usually my favorite but this one tasted a bit salty. Kimchi was sour. But I think I'm pretty spoiled in Houston, with a larger Korean community.

Takeout Beef Bulgogi, Chicken Katsu, Rice, Froed Dumplings. So good. Trust me, the slow wait is worth it!

Everyone is right. The food at Bokka is very, very good but the service is very slow. Even for being slow, the service is so polite. I think the food was so darn good I don't care how long they take. I'd rather have excellent tasting, fresh food from nice Koreans and go knowing you will wait twice as long as the "30 minutes" they promised it will take over the phone. Yes, they do take out! Tip: they seem to prefer you look at the menu and state the number of the special you want to order rather than the name of the dish. There was a bit of a issue but I don't mind. Portions are perfect. Not too much, not too little. Bulgogi meat was tender and flavorful, Chicken Katsu was perfectly breaded and tasty even without sauce, Fried Rice is the best in town. Fried dumplings too! I can't wait to go back.

Kalbi..potstickers, yummy - A Korean meal featuring grilled beef ribs, rice, fried dumplings, and dipping sauces, served on black plastic trays with a side of kimchi and a small container of sauce.

We came here today for my fiance's birthday. The food and service was outstanding! We ordered fried dumplings as an appetizer, delicious with the side of sweet chili sauce. I got the Kalbi it came out sizzling , a huge stack of short ribs and steamed rice. My guy got the Japchae and loved it. He is a very picky eater when we eat out. Dad got the spicy pork, he didnt speak the entire time after he received his plate, lol. My dainty Mom got the Kimchi shrimp fried rice, she is a health nut. A for of us were very happy with our meals and will go again. We wont to try everything!!!

I've tried this restaurant three times since it opened and I'm not going to dispute that food and flavors are good. Right now my main problem is with the wait times. The first time I went there with my husband, they straight up forgot about my fried rice. Once I finally got it, I realized that they forgot the meat I selected and paid for. The rice was also very under-seasoned. The second time, I ordered Kalbi, not realizing it was the most expensive item on the menu (totally my fault, should have looked). Once short ribs finally came out, they looked great but were so chewy I couldn't even bite a piece off. I ended up taking most of them home and finished them off for dinner - they were great cold. I just think that for the most expensive item on the menu, it wasn't up to par taste wise. The third time I went was with a group of coworker for lunch. We ended up spending over an hour waiting for our food, and we only got it because one of us went and told the waitress that we had to be back at work in 15 mins. We ended up not eating any food there and had to take it to go. To be fair, the restaurant was busy, but at this point they are not equipped to deal with the volume of orders. It was very disappointing to spend close to 1.5 hours just sitting there, waiting on food and then not even be able to eat it. Will I go again? Yes, after a few weeks, maybe. Do I think It will get better? Also yes, once they figure out how to handle large volumes of orders.

Love this place! The ramen is delicious and so is the bibimbap. Not too expensive, you may have to wait a little but totally worth it :)

There were only three: one with Asian food with all its fresh bean sprouts and green onions and crispy fried rice, one with super crispy fried chicken, and the barbecue truck, Jetfire. The owner (I guessed) was out front, talking to another guy. I asked if they were open and if they had anything that a couple of old folks who couldn't chew "too good" could eat, maybe some brisket so fatty it would melt in your mouth. He kind of shook his head and then said, "I could chop some brisket up nice and soft and put it on a plate with two sides or a sandwich or just some meat by the pound?" Long story slightly shorter, he disappeared into the Jetfire truck and emerged a few minutes later with 2 chopped beef sandwiches, 2 sides of beans, 1 side of mac-n-cheese and a side of potato salad. We took it home and began eating some of the finest barbecue I've tasted in a very long time -- maybe sometime in the 30 years or so I lived in Austin, TX, and it wasn't just the chopped brisket -- each dish was a treat unto itself! The beef had bits of charred fat concentrated with the smoke and maybe worcestershire and horseradish? I don't know, but it was delectable! The bun was perfectly toasted on the grill in butter or maybe beef fat. The potato salad was the perfect combination, IMO, of vinegary, mustardy and mayonnaisey and the mac-n-cheese was the perfect texture of soft but not soggy with a lighter, a little sweeter sauce and chunks of Velveeta in it to give you an occasional burst of cheesy flavor. I think the folks running this truck have a secret ingredient that gives everything a depth and complexity you don't find just anywhere. This has become my go-to barbecue in the area and I recommend it to any BBQ lover. Plus the gentleman who rustled up this food for us was a damn nice guy! The plates were 10 bucks a piece-- well, worth the price, but one plate with one extra side would have been more than enough for the two of us who have fairly light appetites. (We will enjoy leftovers tomorrow!) Thank you, Jetfire!

Found the cafe part of the place stood and pondered the menu (pretty much same menu as posted in the pics) and decided what meats we each wanted on our 2 meat plate + 2 sides. Spicy sausage link with cheese, brisket, slaw and potato salad for him; ham and turkey meat for me with the beans (warned that they'd be talking later) and slaw. Each had a big slice of bread + butter and a sugar cookie. Drinks of lemonade and unsweetened tea were all you could drink and came as part of the meal. There are canned sodas and bottled Coca Cola for an extra price. I saw there was fresh coffee in the pot. All food was very delicious, fresh made, and served generous sized portions. We had so much leftovers we have a good start on tonight's dinner/supper. On the television was the Western/INSP channel with High Chaparral playing. Blast from the past. Great Wall art all over the place, and even outside on the "patio" area where there's cooking going on (spare ribs were smoking for tomorrow's customers). This looks to be a family run business with a friendly attitude. As the husband went to pay the owner-ess started to type in the credit card machine. My husband asked "Do you take cash" to which she replied "yes, we just do see it much." There ain't many a truer statement, everywhere we go it's typically the card. Husband tried to leave a tip and she wouldn't accept it. Just come on back again. I highly recommend this place as a stop over for a leisurely, friendly meal. As we left, the husband said "Nice ole folks ... Usually we have to pay for the cookie (home baked sugar cookie) and they gave it to us free as part of the meal."

However, this small town…read moreboasts a Texas Monthly Top 50 barbecue spot, so if you are like me and trying to get stamps on the passport, you inevitably have to make the drive. Funnily enough, it is both the northernmost and westernmost spot on the list, so everywhere after this is quite literally downhill from here. We drove in on a Friday and arrived just before 1:30 pm, which is a sin at most barbecue joints. Rejino, however, only had a small line and still a full menu while being pretty busy. They were excited to add a stamp to my book and even gave me a free Rejino sticker to take with me. I love places that go the extra step. One thing I want to note right away is how affordable their barbecue is compared to most places. The Texas Trinity fed both my girlfriend and me and came in around forty dollars, with half pounds of ribs and brisket, a sausage link, and a side. My girlfriend and I ordered their Texas Trinity, two sides, and a dessert. I will share my thoughts on everything below. Brisket: It was well done. There was good flavor throughout and the slices were nicely cut. The balance between the lean and fatty parts was exactly what you would expect and on par with others on the list. Pork Ribs: My girlfriend loves a pork rib and she really enjoyed these. In terms of tenderness and candying, they landed right in the middle. The meat did not fall off the bone, but it was still excellent. The bark was well seasoned. Jalapeño Cheese Sausage: Compared to most joints, their sausages were shorter but thicker. The jalapeños actually had a crunch, which was surprising. I really enjoyed this sausage. Baked Potato Casserole: I thought this was a great side and a solid portion for five dollars. Bacon White Cheddar Mac and Cheese: My girlfriend said this was her favorite style of mac and cheese, extremely creamy. I thought it was good, but I let her eat most of it since she liked it so much. Broccoli Cheddar Cornbread: Unlike most barbecue joints, the cornbread here was free. I really liked the hints of cheese and the broccoli pieces mixed throughout. M&Ms Brownie: I sometimes get dessert at a barbecue joint. When I am with my girlfriend, that percentage jumps to always. Here we ordered a massive M&Ms fudge brownie. The M&Ms were intentionally stale, so instead of being crunchy they were chewy on top of the brownie. It reminded me of a Cosmic Brownie. In Texas, there are smoke cathedrals everywhere for those willing to look, and places like Rejino make stops in small towns completely worth it. RIYL: top notch barbecue that also happens to be pretty affordable

Twice we've ordered chips with queso and twice it never made it to the table and both times when I cancelled the appetizer the server got upset. But isn't an appetizer before your meal not after the meal is served. So today we debated going back but thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt. We were seated and wait for some time before we were approached by a server the restaurant was busy so no big deal. Got our drink order and again ordered the chips and queso appetizer. I wasn't real hungry so I ordered the Texas wings. Waited and waited for appetizers but again no show. Then the server brings out our food. I advised her to cancel the appetizer. The chicken looked good. I bit into a small drummy it tasted weird then I looked and it was bloody I checked three other of the wings and all were raw inside. So I decided to just eat my fries and not make a scene but my wife informed the server who saw the raw chicken and said she would go get her manager. We waited and waited and no manager came to our table. The server returned to the table while I was in the bathroom and informed my wife she removed the wings from our ticket. My wife asked where is the manager and the server said do you want me to get him. My wife told the server you were going to get him earlier what happened. At that point with frustration building we just got our ticket and paid minus the wings. (Of course I'm not paying for food I couldn't consume because it was under cooked) The girl at the counter was very apologetic and said she'll inform the manager. I told my frustration that the manager doesn't have the common courtesy to come out and speak to us. I asked the his name and was advised Devonte. I will no longer dine at this restaurant and will advise family, friends and anyone who will listen about the poor service at this Cotton Patch. Sad I've been told not to eat there but I liked the atmosphere and usually the food and service is good. I'll have to find another location for dinner I have pictures but it won't let me post them.
