After we sat, our waitress immediately greeted us and asked what we would like to drink. Service was great throughout our visit. One of us had the country combo breakfast. The biscuit and gravy were really good. There was enough food to fill up the eater without over stuffing him. The other person had the Chile relleno plate. It was also very tasty. Two soft fried rellenos with rice and beans. Again, the right amount of food. I was impressed that the beans and rice had flavor. I totally recommend Don Maria's if you are ever in Clovis.

Sausage was a little bland. I wish it had a little spice to it, but I'm probably being a little picky. *** great roadside diner in northeastern New Mexico ***…read more After checking out a local pumpkin patch and corn maze on 10.12.2025, my daughters and I were quite famished. My youngest let me try her chicken enchiladas ($12.99) - pretty good! The other girl had a cheeseburger which she seemed to enjoy ($13.49). My heart was set on the "Cook's Favorite Con Queso" ($15.99) - "A hamburger steak topped with our own homemade green chili cheese sauce, sprinkled with cheddar cheese served with rice, beans, red chili salsa and basket of tostadas." The green chili cheese sauce was amazingly hearty and mild with spice. I did not want to stop eating it. Lol. I was not, however, a fan of the red chili salsa at all. It tasted too much like Pace Picante Sauce to me. The service was really great. Plenty of free parking. To date, they only had a sign that said "Restaurant" on the outside, so it was hard to tell if we were at the right place. No wonder my work crew always eats here when they travel to the Clovis area. Seems like a good option for breakfast too. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4| Price: 4

My usual is the pablano omolette without the serrano peppers because the pepper is too spicy for my taste. I have always asked for more pablano/hollandaise sauce because that's what makes the meal in my opinion. Today, I received the omolettes with either little to no sauce, which didn't make it as enjoyable. Id give it a 1.5 stars without it, but at least 4 stars with the sauce. So I just averaged it to 3 stars for the review. Given that this is the first time I came into IHOP not allowing customers to enter the store, you can just call them and they deliver it to you once they ask for your vehicle description. What confused me was that they said they would charge me a dollar for the extra sauce over the phone, as opposed to them just giving it to me for free when i ask in person. My wife mentioned they do actually charge only 25 cents each per small cup. For future reference, I will always buy extra sauce since what I had today left me unsatisfied and disappointed compared to how they typically serve my food. P.s. I still favor this place over Clovis' Dennys.

We YELPed restaurants, and one of our other favorites in town was closed, so we took a chance on the Cotton Patch Cafe. They were open for dine-in, and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful. Service was excellent. Our server, Hope, did a great job meeting all our needs -- including a large print menu (during COVID, when everything has to be wiped down again...), and she was as accommodating and pleasant as can be. The food was off the page. We both ordered burgers, one Nachadoches, and one traditional with cheese. We got sides of fries and onion rings. Normally, we don't eat the buns, but these were magnificent, not your run-of-the-mill hamburger buns! The burgers were juicy and tender, and the toppings as fresh and tasty as could be. The onion rings were HUGE, and perfectly breaded and fried, and there was a slight sweetness to them that was delightful. The french fries were nicely cut, but could have used a bit more time in the fryer to get just a little crispier. Not everything can be perfect, right? Next time we come through Clovis, we'll be back. And to the owners, thanks for that message of hope on the windows: Faith Over Fear!

The food sure is good but I'm waiting for Mike the manager to deliver the missing items because I didn't want to go back out and I'm so upset I'm going to start always auditing this place because I noticed they twist the bag shut every time..."ugh, don't close it up; let's go through everything on the receipt first?" it gets better so the phone number I called on the receipt is actually for a location in Dallas Texas?
