Great Korean food in Clovis. I had the spicy pork and it was tender, flavorful and spicy. The rice was nice and fluffy and the kimchi was tangy with a light spicy Ness to it which helped balance the spice of the pork. All the other options looked good here and the portions were good. Only complaint was the restaurant is on the warm side, but it was over 100 outside when I went. I would eat here again. read more

I really don't leave reviews, but this place went above and beyond. Great food, great service. We are on a road trip in ab RV across the southwest and stopped in Clovis starving! We made a phone order and it was a little confusing as we wanted the egg to be on the side of the bimibap (boyfriend wanted it but I'm vegan) but they said they couldnt do it in a separate container. We opted for no egg because it seemed easiest. When I arrived for the food, the owner graciously allowed us to park our big rv right out front and apologized for the egg situation. I wasn't concerned about it, but he gave me kimbap as an apology!!! What kind, considerate customer service! And the whole meal was DELICIOUS. Amazing Korean food in a small town. Thank you!!! Work a place! I thought I would give this place a try it is my 1st time to try Korean bbq and boy was I not disappointed. The staff is friendly the appearance of the restaurant appears to be top rate yet simple. I really like Asian food and Bokka Doesn't disappoint. I tried the fried dumplings along with the Bibimbap. I took my car to Discount Tire and while I had to wait I saw this mysterious Korean BBQ place across the street. So I thought I would give it a try. Upon arriving the place was dead with only 3 people eating inside, and I feared the worse... This place is one of those order 1st and pay before you sit down at the table. I order 1 order of the fried dumplings and 1 order of beef bulgofi and a soda. The fried dumplings were really good I'm not going to lie. The beef bulgogi was also very taste but my only complaint was the size of the portions. They served me the smallest book ever of steamed rice which was funny, cause I am a big guy. All in all if you want something different to eat in Boring Clovis I would give this place a try. If you're in Clovis, your solid ethnic dining choices are limited, there isn't a lot of competition is there to drive the food quality up. This place though, Bokka has an excellent menu of delicious, consistent Korean cuisine, I've probably eaten there 10 times or so, and I'd easily give it 4.5 stars. I've had the Bibimbap and the Bibimbap Dolsot (Cooked in a stone pot) and several other dishes, everything I've had there is great. Still really good Korean food. The wait time was a bit long but they are learning fast and coming up with ways to expedite and improve the ordering and serving process and very open to feedback. Finally, a taste of home brought to Clovis New Mexico. The prices are phenomenal for the amount of food you get. This is legit Korean food in small town New Mexico!! We were on our last day of a seven day trip and had only had two really good meals the whole time, and we were skeptical of finding good Korean food in the middle of nowhere, but boy, were we wrong!! The restaurant and personnel are very Covid compliant and the waiter was very friendly and explained our dishes and how to eat them correctly. We ordered the kimpap as an appetizer and it was as good as any we've gotten from a restaurant or Korean store, and better than most. We ordered beef bulgolgi and dolsat bibimpap and both were excellent. We ordered two more kimbap rolls for the road. I absolutely love this place. Been here many times. Once we waited really long and there were a lot of people but the owner was super nice and apologetic. He offered us free drinks while waiting for our to go orders and then put extra servings for all our orders. I know sometimes it can be slow but he always makes it right. The customer service is the best. As far as the food goes...I always have to get the Kalbi. I've tried the dumplings, Bimbap, japchae, and bulgolgi. They were all really good! The food is great and worth the price that you pay for. It's the best Korean good spot around. The chicken katsu was perfect and the dumplings were the largest I've ever seen. They stuffed them to say the least. Personally what takes it up for me is the service. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Excellent. The best Korean food I have eaten outside of Korea. The staff was very accommodating to my friend who had never eaten Korean food before and made it a pleasurable experience. I will return as often as I can in the future. I highly recommend anyone who wants to try Asian with a different twist to go there. The yakimandu was excellent and the Dolset Bibimbap was on point. The kimshi was great as well. I really can't think of any negatives to pass along. Others have commented on the wait times, I did not experience any significant wait. The Yaki came out within 5 minutes or so and the Bibimbap came as we finished our appetizer. Amazing service, best Korean I've had in the States, and reasonable prices. What's not to like? The service was very good! The owner/server even offered us a free water after I thought my spouse had ordered one, but actually asked for a cup of water. We tried to return the bottle as it was our fault, but he let us take it. He was very nice! The food was super delicious! We had bulgogi and sweet potato noodles with beef. It was a lot of food! After 10 hours of driving, I ended up in Clovis. If I hadn't had been so tired, I would've kept right on driving, but I needed a break. The town was asthetically unappealing and the restaurants were no different. Fortunately, this little Korean kitchen was a diamond in the rough. I ordered fried dumplings (yaki mandu) and kimbap to go. They were both delicious. As I was waiting, I watched a plate of bulgogi being served and looked tasty as well.
