Terrible service ordered food thru the drive-thru and they left 2 of the only four ingredients on my biscuits but definitely charged for them. I had to go back in with my receipt to get them correct and the young lady looks back Jordon the supervisor for approval he doesn't even look at me or apologize and tells her to give it to me. Not sure what he's giving me but all I want is what I purchased. He then comes up grabs the bag still without a word or even a look and takes the food that had been handed to me out the drive thru window and handled by me and puts it back on the line to be reserved to others. Once I get my correct to do's I leave to the sound of the drive-thru operator snickering as I left. Bo knows biscuits but in this location he don't anything about service food safety or simple manners.

At the end of the meal I would have to say I was not impressed. I was really looking forward to this Bojangles. We used to have them in Fort Lauderdale in the 90s. So whenever I see one I want to stop. When we first walked in the place presented well. Clean and neat. We ordered. Everything appeared status quo. Good so far. They gave us a # and called us about 10 minutes later. When the food came up the order was wrong and on the wrong plates. I ordered 2 thighs and a leg. I got one leg, one thigh. My gf beans was on my plate. The food was bland. No kick. The spicy chicken was not spicy. It was bland. The sweet tea was suspect. It has an odd taste. The unsweetened tea was good per my gf. We refilled with lemonade but it tasted like it was cut with water to make it go farther. Not c ool! This Bojangles disappointed me.

    Raw chicken. Yummy.

The chicken is bland and overfried. The sides are mediocre. The sweet tea is not sweet. Good bo-berry biscuits.

The lady at the counter was super friendly when we came in! The prices here are pretty good for a meal consisting of a meat, rice, 2 sides, cornbread and a drink. If you're a student, there is a $2 discount off of lunch and dinner plates from noon to 5pm. There is a $1.50 charge for using a card, though. I got the Stewed Chicken dinner plate with Mashed Potatoes and Corn Casserole as my 2 sides. It's a bit of a wait for the food, but it looked like there were only two people running the whole operation by themselves. Everything comes out in a to-go box, but there is seating and TV entertainment available. The moment the stewed chicken entered my mouth I was in love with the flavor. It's a bit too salty but goes really well with the yellow rice, which was recommended to me by the lady at the counter. They didn't skimp on the stew broth either! I love when there's potato skin in my mashed potatoes but I wish they were a little creamier, and the corn casserole was really sweet which complimented the chicken stew really well. The only part of my meal that I wasn't a huge fan of was the cornbread, which was really dry. My friend Marley got Fried Chicken which took longer to come out, and when she ate her corn nuggets she said, "That's a good corn nugget." I tried one too and it was indeed a good corn nugget. I'll be back again for lunch!

We enjoyed brunch so much we came back for dinner the same day! The menu items include both traditional and creative thoughtfully prepared offerings that are delicious and attracted plated. The decor is classy and modern with the addition of a very nice bar and sport spectator area. For brunch I had the half fried chicken which includes 4 pieces separately fried. I had collard greens which were fresh but just okay flavor wise, but I really enjoyed the roasted carrots! My aunt had a pork chop sandwich which came with delicious home fries! My uncle had fried fish and grits with scrambled eggs and biscuit. The seasoning and crust on the fried items was perfect! When we returned for dinner, we enjoyed the unique appetizer....boiled peanut and neckbone boil. I enjoyed the vegan black eyed pea soup. It was classic comfort food, I had the chef add in some collards and it was delicious! Also enjoyed the BBQ shrimp even though I was expecting it to be a little more wet. I did not get to taste the gumbo or the smothered fried shrimp and grits but I saw some clean plates-lol. The staff is super friendly and attentive and it's very clean. Looking forward to our next visit!

When I read the email announcing tonight's Chef's dinner, we couldn't resist. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can fry an oyster better than Chef. Perched atop a great classic--deviled egg with bacon bits--the oyster was tender with a light batter-fried coating. Chef's duckfat cornbread drizzled with just the right amount of avocado butter provided the perfect podium on which two blackened shrimp lightly dusted with a hint of subtle spices rested. If you know me, you know I don't like my food to hurt me, and this dish met my requirements with a whisper of, "Here I am." Now, my hubby doesn't like anything with coffee, so he was worried about the hickory smoked chicken with espresso molasses BBQ sauce. However, he admitted the sauce didn't have any hint of coffee and, in fact, it was a delicious complement to the chicken. As for the pancetta Mac 'n' Cheese, its creamy cheesiness balanced out the smokiness of the chicken. Chef Joseph often offers one of his Pot de Crème varieties to finish a meal. I always look forward to them. Tonight's Pineapple White Chocolate version was a perfect finish to a perfect dining experience. Sparkling wines and summer--the perfect pairing. Even more perfect when you are enjoying them with a fabulous meal at Lucilla.

During Sunday brunch, we were seated quickly, even without reservations, even while it was very busy. I got fried deviled eggs (yummy), fried catfish, red velvet waffles, eggs and corned beef hash. The catfish was extremely fresh. The red velvet cupcakes came with a cream cheese sauce that tasted more like Krispy Kreme donut glaze or just a sugary sauce. I wish it had more of a cream cheese flavor. I wasn't pleased with it. The corn beef hash was good. My friend got the chicken and pancakes. The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried. The customer service was great ~ warm, attentive, inviting, quick, and well managed to be so busy. Jordan, our server, was amazing! The ambience and crowd were nice, diverse. Seated at 6pm as a large party of eight and were not served main courses until 745 with almost zero communication from the server, no floor manager and no offer of restitution to make our family dinner salvageable. Worst of all bread ordered from menu took 20-30 minutes to table and we were told "the kitchen is firing up fresh bread" which btw is not offered just for sitting down. The aforementioned bread was room temp upon arrival and did not remotely taste like something freshly baked. No need to tell a tale when the kitchen is either short staffed or incompetent. Also when the mains came out they were highly staggered, dishes were ok at best and at least one dish was cold and needed to be returned (mine of course). They brought it back warmed with my bite still visible. Weak. They do start with an amuse-gueule (small taste) and that was immediate and was fine. Applaud trying to bring a fine dining or European type experience to town but this is not it. Close and retool if what we experienced was typical. Bottom line a generally bad and highly tardy meal can be salvaged by staff staying in touch with the table and at the end offering a return visit or comp to make it right. The server did apologize when presenting the check with a service charge applied. I would never return here.
