Having never heard of Whataburger prior to moving to Tallahassee a few years ago, I was under the assumption that it was simply just another fast food joint. Well, it is just another fast food joint, but what makes the difference is the consistent quality of the food. While I have certainly left other fast food chains fairly disappointed with the outing, I've never had such an experience at Whataburger. For one thing, I've never received soggy fries from Whataburger and the patties they use are huge! I give Whataburger a 4/5 simply because the wait for your food can occasionally be upwards of 20 minutes, which detracts from the whole "fast food" thing. I've heard so much about Whataburger from people who have been to Texas, and I was so surprised to see one in Tallahassee. I've heard the place is amazing and one of the best burgers anybody's ever had, which also surprised me because it's just your average fast food burger place. I came in late at night, when the place was full of young drunk college kids, which was highly obnoxious and annoying, but it wasn't their fault so I can't hold that against them. The place even had a security guard walking around to make sure it doesn't get too rowdy. The food came out very fast and honestly I must say, I now understand why anybody would say they love this place. It truly was one of the best burgers that I have ever had. I live in Orlando and I can't wait to come back to Tallahassee just because this place exists. Absolutely amazing. It's ~ $6 for the burger but it's so unctuous and juicy! It's double patty with cheddar cheese, bacon, sauted onions, and this secret chophouse sauce. This was my first visit to a Whataburger franchise, and - I gotta say - this is a darn fine fast food place. To paraphrase a popular pizza chain, "Better ingredients, better burger." Top-notch beef, bacon, onions, buns... And this may sound strange, but the lettuce is fantastic. Fresh, crispy - everything you want in a piece of iceberg topping your burger. I can't say much about this place. It's slow but then they cook their food to order. I think. It's was travel food. Just down from the gas station in which I filled up at. The place was easy in and B to get out of and back on the highway. The burgers are really good with that combination of mustard, pickles, and raw onions. I usually don't eat fast food, but for some reason I was craving a burger at Whataburger. As soon as I approached the register, I was greeted by 4 different employees with a warm smile. I thought it was a little strange since I'm accustomed to people being rude at fast food places. My food took less than 10 minutes to make and was brought to me. The burger was made to perfection and the fries were hot, "mouth watering", and crispy. I definitely recommend trying this place out when you get a chance.
