Fun fact: Red beans & rice are traditionally made on Mondays. Mondays were washdays and a pot of kidney beans with the trinity of vegetables (bell pepper, onions and celery) and spices could sit and simmer on the stove while the women washed and scrubbed the clothes. The building is updated, and the parking lot was very clean. Upon entering the lobby, I could smell the aroma of the fried chicken. The order taking area and the lobby were both clean and guest friendly. The customer service was extremely professional, friendly, and attentive to my needs. Since this was my first visit to this location, the customer service order taker took her time to help me navigate the simple menu and offered suggestions to help me place my order. I only wanted chicken, so I ordered chicken by the piece (breast, leg, & wing) which totaled $7.67 with tax. My order was quickly expedited and ready in less than 3 minutes. The chicken was hot, delicious, and served with a roll; however, the chicken does have a little kick to it (spicy), but I like spicy food with a kick. Unlike, Popeyes, the pieces are big and crunchy. Not only was I thanked with a smile for patronizing the business after receiving my order, but an employee outside who was on break took the time to acknowledge me and thanked.
