    #5 Lamb Hot Soup

Love the fact they have individual pots and let you order drinks from Jin Tea Shop next door! Their pots are a little pricey, but honestly do make sense for the fact they are individual pots. They are also secretly big in my opinion. Would go back!

This is my favorite Boiling Point in the SGV. Before COVID, there was always a long line, but nowadays it's not as bad. I used to really love coming here for their brown rice, which was more like a mixed-grain rice to me. Unfortunately, they got rid of it some time ago, which was a bummer. This Boiling Point is probably the smallest location you'll find. The tables are very close together, making it uncomfortable to sit here--you're only about half an arm's length away from the next table. It definitely feels cramped inside. I came here with a friend to take advantage of a deal where you get a free drink and appetizer for completing a survey at the end of the meal. However, the deal was limited to one use per table. We ordered our hot pots, a pork belly in garlic sauce as the appetizer, and an Assam oolong tea. Because the table was so small, fitting everything we ordered felt like a game of Tetris. The tea at 50% sweetness tasted a bit light. The garlic pork belly, however, was actually good, and the hot pots were tasty as usual. The staff members were patient in answering my questions about the deal and were generally attentive to our needs. Parking is usually easy, as there's a parking lot across the street about half a block away. Because of its proximity to my home and the quality of the food, I tend to overlook the space issue and continue coming back to this Boiling Point.

Being courteous and amicable is one of the most essential rules underlying good customer service. Always welcome customers with a smile and a respectful demeanour. Food came out fast and tasted great! Good job boiling point Pasadena.

Never misses. The broth is packed with flavor, rich, and perfectly seasoned comfort food at its finest. Ingredients are always fresh, portions are solid, and everything comes out hot and satisfying. The staff is friendly and keeps things moving even when it's busy, which I appreciate. This is my go-to spot when I want something warming, flavorful, and consistently good. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving hot pot done right.

My friends claimed this location is the BEST out of all the Boiling Point locations and I can finally see why. I got seafood and both of my friends got the Taiwanese spicy. It was very tasty and I can see why it's better than their other locations. They also gave some kind of seaweed appetizer while we waited for our food. We came at the right time, around 4:30pm on a Sunday, so we got a table right away. Service was fast. We all decided this will be our stop after every backpacking trip from now on!

What We Ordered: #4 Beef Hot Pot $22.73 This is our go-to order at Boiling Point. I wasn't in the mood, but my wife always wants it. Happy wife, happy life, right?! We split one Beef Hot Pot for the three of us, and it was plenty. My wife and son were full, but I was saving room for pizza. It didn't make sense to order two pots. We got our money's worth! We came here specifically because it's a concept location. It was similar to other Boiling Points, but the service was great. At our usual location in MPK, we have to flag down servers. The servers here were attentive and nice! This location is called a concept because they have a tea shop next door. You can order drinks from your server, which is a perk. Another perk is the complimentary seaweed dish and the free drink shot when you pay. We really enjoyed this Boiling Point and would definitely return!

Good soup to have in the area, especially if you had a small meal before. I highly suggest that you get something mild, because you can always make it spicier later. Service was slow, but I won't put it against the waiters because it seemed that most were new.

This is my umpteenth time visiting Boiling Point and they never disappoint. Yesterday was unusual as the fire alarm in the condos above were going off, but the restaurant was still open for business. The fire department finally arrived and we had a great experience. For two people we orders the miso with extra beef! It was enough for two people...They even come around to add more broth to your hot pot. BE CAREFUL: Broth is very hot! The perfect lunch after an eventful morning! We came here to eat lunch on a hot day and was pleasantly surprised with the nice AC and good food. We both ordered beef soups and were planning on giving the kid some too. Our waitress surprised us with a complimentary udon noodle soup with bok choy! We still shared some of our yummy beef and fish cakes though. Since we came for lunch, we also got two free drinks included (winter melon juice or roasted oolong tea). We decided to upgrade for just $2.50 for a full tea from Jin next door! As this is one of our favorite boba spots in pasadena, we thought the $5 total for two drinks was a total STEAL! Overall this place is well maintained and run. Come for lunch and stay for yummy soup, free drinks, and complimentary chia seed dessert!

I love this franchise and all things hotpot. My favorite pot at boiling point is the beef pot, but the individual hot pots allow everyone at the table to eat their favorite things. You can customize your order by choosing a select pot, your spice level, and whether you want vermicelli or rice as a side. There's also a small complimentary seaweed appetizer at this specific location, which was a tasty treat! I'd recommend eating here at lunch because they offer free green tea for lunch orders. This location had very attentive staff. We got our food quickly and didn't have to wait long. The interior was cozy and casual, while also offering boba drinks from the next door shop.

I love hot pots and whenever I want something that I don't have to the all the cooking I go to boiling point. Everything's so tasty. The broths are all good but I tend to go towards tomato or spicy ones. Looks like a lot of food for one person but I would say it's the perfect amount.

    Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup

This was probably my third time having hot pot. I'm generally not a fan of food with a lot of spices, but this place's hot pots weren't overly spiced and were still full of flavor. We shared a milk curry cream and a Taiwanese spicy between the two of us. The Taiwanese spicy only comes in a flaming level, and I had a hard time with it -- it's no joke. There were plenty of toppings inside, so we left feeling full. I'd give it 4.5 stars, but the service was below average.

    Yasmeen S.

Out of all the Boiling Point locations I've been to - and I've been to quite a few - the Pasadena location is by far the best! The service here is excellent! Every employee is fast, friendly, and really attentive, which made the experience even better than any other location. The food was delicious as always and I highly recommend the beef soup (medium spicy) and the winter melon drink!

We ordered the pork soup dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, and beef roll. The soup dumplings were the highlight -- thin skin, super juicy, and packed with rich broth. Just be careful because they come out really hot. The pan-fried dumplings had a crispy bottom with a juicy, flavorful filling, which I loved for the texture contrast. The beef roll was also really good -- flaky on the outside with tender beef inside, and a nice savory sauce that ties everything together. Portions are generous and prices are pretty reasonable for the quality. It definitely has that busy, no-frills SGV dumpling house vibe, but the food is what you're here for. Overall, I'd come back when I'm craving comfort food and dumplings done right.

They're so flavorful and crispy at the same time. and it comes with so much seafood and bok choy so you're getting your veggies in. The beef chow fun was addicting I couldn't stop eating the noodles. The flavor was just too good. I also was very surprised at their yang chow fried rice. The pork meat was so good and the rice was perfectly cooked. If you haven't tried the seaweed fish it's a very unique dish I recommend if you like fried fish, this is a very tasty fish. It's green but it tastes so good. I love ha gow, you can never go wrong with a shrimp ball steamed in rice paper. And always gotta get the green beans in for that veggie dish. The green beans are flavorful and crunchy in the right places. I had a really great time. It's honestly really fun to come here with a big group of people to enjoy a really delicious family style Chinese meal. They also give free peanuts for appetizer and serve jasmine hot tea which gave me so much energy for my dinner! The service here is also really nice the waiters and waitressses are so friendly and helpful. You can always get a refill on your waters and tea. There are also a selection of drinks to choose from. I'm on a no sugar diet because I've been having too much sugar lately or else i would have ordered more! ALSO park across the street! There is a lot for $1 for 2 hours and addition $2 for another hour I think. I ended up only paying $3 for 2 hours and 15 min. Had too much fun at my dinner.

We didn't question it and started eating. Midway through our meal, the manager came over and said it was actually a mistake - that the cucumbers were a paid item. He gave us two options: keep eating and get charged, or have it taken away and not be charged. At that point, we had already eaten about half. Of course, we declined the extra charge since we genuinely thought it came with our order. What happened next is what lost me as a customer. The manager took the dish and immediately dumped it in the trash right behind me, where I could hear it. It felt unnecessary and honestly a bit disrespectful. A better way to handle it would've been to acknowledge the mistake and just comp the dish this time. Instead, it turned into an awkward moment over what couldn't have been more than a few dollars' worth of cucumbers. Not a great experience, and not a place I'd return to based on how this was handled.

The crab fried rice tasted good, but the flavor of the crab was not as prominent. The dumpling was solid, but certainly overpriced for five pieces. The Dan Mein with chicken was a solid dish, but probably could get similar dish at the Chinese restaurant in San Gabriel Valley. Luckily, they were there (waiting in the car) so I told them to walk over so we can be seated. I ordered 2 orders of chiayi chicken (1with white rice and 1 with brown rice), 2 orders of thousand layer pancake (1 with egg and 1 with egg and cheese), shrimp wonton, dance dan noodles, wonton noodle soup, hakka mochi and forbidden rice pudding. For drinks we had a few of the shaken iced green teas and 1 taro milk tea (my sister said it didnt taste like taro) Everything was great. I was surprised my sister's bf liked the food. The chiayi chicken was good with a bit of the chili sauce (sambal). The thousand layer pancake was good if you dip it in the black vinegar (mixed with chili oil and a little soy sauce). The shrimp wonton were surprisingly light and tasty. The dan dan noodles was balanced my medium thin sliced cucumber.
