Catfish Basket
Shannon T.

This place is such a hidden gem in Pearland!! We were driving around and saw this place and decided to come in and try it and it did not disappoint! We got the catfish basket, cray cray fries, dragon bowl, and lil miss piggy bao. The flavors are soooooo good. The dragon bowl has the tastiest, crispiest brussel sprouts! The crawfish sauce on the catfish and the cray cray fries was soooo tasty, like an elevated alfredo pasta. The shrimp were also super crispy and seasoned sooo well. The catfish was fried so well and the sauce on top was so tasty. This bowl is definitely something I'm coming back for!! The pork belly in the bao was a little tough and not my favorite but everything else we had was 10/10!! We are so excited to try the rest of the menu and will definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible. The restaurant is a trendy casual counter service and the owner and staff are absolutely amazing. The food was out of this world. The dishes are fun, unique, and delicious. We were just running in to get something to go and ended up eating in and I'm so glad we did. Can't wait to go back!

We came here looking for SEASONED crawfish and we were not disappointed. 9lbs of crawfish with sausage and corn. The spice and heat was on point, the service was excellent, and my niece didn't speak for at least 30min because she was chowing down on the crawfish. That means it was amazing! I also brought the shrimp basket and beef bulgogi bowl home for family. The shrimp were huge with a delicious cornmeal coating. My brother said everything was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Boiling Dragon: Location: Located in the Pearland Shopping Center near First Watch, the Boiling Dragon is nestled in this busy shopping center. Food: I ordered the Dragon Bowl, which came with Brussel Sprouts. These Brussel Sprouts can stand on their own they are so delicious! Service: The staff is super friendly and they help recommend great suggestions. Ambiance: This is a standard seafood restaurant with an Asian Flare. I will definitely be back! This food is yummy!

I don't usually give 5 stars but I'm very picky about my gumbo and the Seafood gumbo with ramen special was fantastic a little pricey compared to regular menu items but worth it. The place is simple cafe but food on menu looks great. I will be back Update - Went back and they were out of gumbo so got the shrimp basket and pickled cucumbers and it was all good. Then went back again and tried their regular gumbo with shrimp and crab added. It's not quite as good as the ramon gumbo but still pretty good.

Omg!! I was skeptical to order just fried rice, but I'm so glad that I did. I arrived about an hour to closing, so it was pretty empty inside. There was no line, and the cashier was friendly. I ordered the dragon fried rice, and it was bomb! Packed with flavor, full of blue crab, and so filling. This is definitely a meal for two people. I would come back here just for for the rice. Next visit, I'll try some of the other menu items. Price: About $18 and some change after taxes

Yum!! Found this spot while looking to eat something different and close to where I was arriving by!! And don't regret it!!! Customers service is good, the place has a chill ambiance! Let me start talking about the food!! OMG I ordered a Rita daiquiri, let's not miss the drinks lol Bao little miss piggy, pork belly and the shrimp and I loved them! The flavor was on point and just the right portion. The texture of the bread/tortilla lol if that's what it's called was so fluffy and doughy it made the experience great!!!! The shrimp was sweet and savory!! I would have loved the pork belly to be crunchy but it was still delicious! The saigon shrimp with the rice is just amazing!! The tasty crispy shrimp with the sweet buttery rice and the cucumber salad is just to drool for!!! And the last item we ordered was as the fried rice with shrimp!! Can't go wrong with fried rice and the way they cook it!!!??? It's just savory and tasty!! Buttery and delicious Will be trying everything everytime I come because this is a new spot for me!!! And my family loved it too!! They love when I pick spots

Food came out sure Fresh and hot. Gumbo was really good. Chicken wings came out crispy. Beef bowl was really yummy.

Asian style Salt & pepper wings ! Sorry Was in a rush to eat...pic is blurry

We are exploring their menu during non crawfish season. Asian style salt & pepper wings is chef kiss. Eat it over a bed of steak white rice. If you're gonna order to go.. open your box to not build up condensation. My 15 min ride home my wings were still crispy. My kid is 7.5 and tears this gumbo up . It's not the thick gumbo you would normally see at other chain restaurants. It's a clean broth with okra & sausage..like a simple but comfort taste of it. The consistency of food the past few years still on point, can't wait for crawfish season!

It's not often you come across a restaurant where you can have confidence in ordering anything off the menu. This is one of those places. Everything has been beyond delicious. Locally owned and made fresh. The daily chalkboard specials are always so unique, like gumbo ramen. Service is always fast and very friendly. It's a very casual dining room. It feels very comfortable hanging out and taking our time. Even saw people working on their laptops at lunch. This is one of my favorites! They even have daiquiris

The chicken soup dumplings were flavorful though I'd have liked more soup. I put some red pepper flakes on top as there was no chili oil provided. The combo came with general tso's chicken and I opted for lo mein instead of fried rice. The dish as delicious but the chicken was dry. The combo also came with 2 thumb print pork dumplings which I didn't try and regular chicken dumplings which lacked a bit of flavor. There was also a spring roll which was just very greasy. It also came with egg drop or sweet and sour soup. I'm not a fan of either so I skipped it. All in all, great value and good but not amazing food.

Ordered as an appetizer, it was huge and was close to being a meal all by itself. I thought I had over ordered and probably did, but everything was so damn good, I finished it all. 5/5 Coconut coffee - this was my first time trying this. Served like a Vietnamese affogato, it came with a cup of coconut milk with coconut ice cream along with an espresso of Vietnamese coffee. Lord and waistline willing, I would consume one of these everyday. The contrasts of hot and cold, the bitterness of coffee with the creaminess of coconut. It all balanced and went so well together. Highly, highly recommend. 6/5 On top of all the amazing food was the service. I had just arrived from the airport and came close to their lunch closing time. On my most recent visit we ordered mapo tofu with pork intestines off the specials menu - a hybrid of two of my favorite Sichuan-style dishes. The blend of bouncy, savory morsels amidst tender, saucy tofu was at once revolutionary and so obvious; why hadn't I yet seen this at any other restaurant? And sure, innards may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's important for you to know that none of my past orders from the 50+ item menu have ever failed me, whether enjoyed in the restaurant or at home. Maybe you'd prefer the aromatic, classic, perfectly balanced three-cup chicken? Or the sweet-skinned duck, glazed so delicately that specks of sugar crystal threaten to jump off onto the plate as you pick up a juicy slice with your chopsticks? And if you're vegetarian, might you consider the punchy garlic eggplant or the wok-kissed string beans? I could go on. Do yourself a favor and come see for yourself, though I'd recommend parallel parking on the neighborhood streets behind the restaurant rather than the rocky parking lot, to save you some trouble. Bring friends and chow down family style - you'll need help covering as much of the menu as you can, but you'll definitely have to come back to try everything.

It's Kuksu House so I got the kuksu, and we also got the hanum. Kuksu is an Uzbek-Korean dish--a cold noodle soup from ethnic Koreans living in Uzbekistan. It's made with wheat noodles, rice noodles, garlic broth, pickles and beef. For $17 they give you a great big bowl of it. The flavors are intense and really tickle your palate. There's a whole lot of flavor here and I couldn't eat a whole lot at once--I think it works better as an appetizer soup than a main course. You could get 8 appetizer servings from the order. Just for grins I warmed up some of what I took home, and it wasn't bad that way either. One thing I found lacking was the beef--I couldn't find much. But it's a fascinating dish if you're looking for a unique combination of textures and flavor. Hanum is another dish from the same region. It's a steamed dumpling with layered pastry and a meat and potatoes filling, topped with stewed tomatoes and onions. This is a hearty, satisfying savory dish--all melts together in your mouth. There's plenty to share or eat later, and it keeps in the fridge just fine. We wanted to get fries but they were sold out. Service was friendly and enthusiastic. They do have more conventional foods--chicken thighs and Korean tacos. But if you are tiring of Tex-Mex and want something really different, this is worth a try.

We didn't expect him to continue serving us--we simply wanted to sit and eat the food we had ordered. I had already tipped him on the to-go order. His response was blunt and shocking: "No, you have to leave. The table was given to someone else for a 7:30 reservation." There was no attempt to find a solution or offer an alternative--just a direct order to leave. This was a Thursday night, the restaurant was not busy, and there were outdoor tables and other seating available. We felt incredibly insulted by the attitude. When we spoke to the manager, he simply repeated that the table was reserved and backed up the waiter, without suggesting another table or even asking us to wait for the next available one, until we brought up the point that he could have asked if we have an option to wait for the next table?? Then the manager went ok do you want to have another table just because we asked. What stood out most wasn't the reservation issue, but the complete lack of hospitality, flexibility, or basic courtesy. Since we were in the area that day, we made a point to stop at this Wrap & Roll location to make sure it was not a fluke. And by golly, it was exactly what we hoped for! First, the portion sizes are huge as each noodle dish can feed 2-3 people. So unless you brought your appetite, you'll be needing a togo container. Main reason it's so large is because it's packed with protein. Second, the menu has a variety of items ranging from tacos/quesadillas to sandwiches, to noodles/rice, to chicken wings; so there's something for everyone here. And third, the flavors/taste of the eats. The combination fried udon is packed with shrimp/chicken/filet and all the meats are tender along with the noodles and veggies with this sweet/sour/spicy flavor that will knock out your taste buds. From what I read, all the noodle/rice dishes are similar to this. I also saw someone get the quesadilla which was huge and they immediately went silent when eating it cause they couldn't stop stuffing it in their mouth. There's no doubt I plan to return and I hope they expand closer to our neck of the woods in the Heights area. That's a wrap cause they're on a roll!
