It feels like a cafe or coffee roaster, so modern and clean, but with a clear love of everything chocolate. I'm told on the weekends it gets super busy thanks to their menu of chocolate infused everything including coffees and teas. On the left to the inside is their full range of bars, which includes a placard with the location of the cacao and tasting notes. There are also free samples of everything, and the servers can help you with questions. They even have little tasting sheets for notes if you want to get serious and remember for future visits. They have a few tables and bar seating at the front, with more bar seating along the back right leading to the clean restrooms. Here you'll also find educational displays about chocolate and viewing windows to the roasting and processing rooms. Even though it was afternoon, it was so much fun to order things with caffeine just for the sheer joy of it. We had the chocolate milk, I had a chocolate infused black tea, we shared a special new bar, and were given their signature tiny cookies. Prices are reasonable for the quality, both the drinks and the bar. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they clearly love the place as much as we do.

They do not add any food coloring or processed flavorings, so they are distinctly rustic and natural. It is not sticky, gooey or has too much sugar stuck on them. I like the hazelnut flavor. The cupcakes are decorated nicely. Their Italian Meringue Cupcake is a rich Double-Chocolate cake with a light and fluffy marshmallow-like texture makes me think of a hostess cupcake. I had two yellow cream cheese frosting gingerbread cupcakes, raspberry chocolate and strawberry vanilla cupcake. I am happy with the selection I received which is a great way to try and determine if this bakery knows how to make a good cupcake. I enjoyed their carrot cake cupcake. But who makes the city's best croissants? The San Francisco Chronicle recently held a blind taste test to answer that serious question, and lo and behold ONE65's version ended up being the SECOND-BEST croissant in that competition. ONE65's building is quite the destination. Their croissants are found in the first floor patisserie, the second floor hosts a chocolate room where their in-house chocolatier crafts artisanal bonbons, on the third floor you'll find the ONE65 Bistro & Grill, the fourth floor is home of the Elements Lounge, and the 5th & 6th floors are where you'll find O' by Claude Le Tohic, a luxurious, fine-dining French culinary experience. Our breakfast at ONE 65 of course included croissants, one sweet and one savory. Yes, they were both amazing- soft and flaky and chock full of yummy fillings.
