Prime Rib Dinner Not As Advertised, We sat in the bar area as we have done many times to look out and view the casino. The bartenders are the wait staff for the bar area. Many times we wait for our order to be taken or wait for our food to be delivered as we see them watching TV or talking to other wait staff since the bar had minimal patrons. We decided to try the prime rib dinner that looks so good on the menu. It wasn't the 1" slab that's advertised- it was 1/4" Thick, very grizzly & chewy. If only the wait staff came back to ask how we were doing, we would have complained. We have eaten many meals there. Most are delicious & large portions. We were very disappointed with the prime rib. The potato was almost bigger than the piece of meat was. The bar wait staff needs to be more attentive to their guests. Of course we will go again, but we will not be having the prime rib. read more

Sat in the bar section for breakfast food was delicious as always. Heather the bartender/waitress was covering the entire section, it was very busy. She handled herself very well, kept communicating with all the customers, and got to each one of us. She made her rounds and that made me appreciate the excellent service she provided during that morning rush. Absolutely terrible. Wife had spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are cooked but not in sauce. Sauce tasted like it came from #10 size can. Garlic bread was just brushed with a little bit of butter and put on grill. My cheese burger was a bit over cooked but not terrible. Waitress was present. I would not go back. read more

Stopped for lunch yesterday. Order the 8 oz NY steak. When it finally came it was too tough to eat. Then ordered the fried chicken. When it came it was not fried chicken but it was a hard flat chicken breast that was deep-fried. It was hard to cut. Told the manager I order the fried chicken on the menu. He said the fried chicken was actually this chicken breast. Told him to forget it and I just ate half of the beef stroganoff that my wife had ordered. The manager told me that only three out of ten people eat the steak when they order it because it usually comes out tough and most people are surprised when they get a fried chicken breast and not actually fried chicken. We've been eating here for a number of years without any complaints, until last evening. We got there at 5pm and it was crowded, got seated 5:15, so far so good, got menu at 5:25, water by 5:30 (from a waitress who said it wasn't her table). Finally got "our" waitress at 5:50 who said she had too many tables, and looked exhausted. Took our order, and surprisingly it arrived by 6pm. We both ordered the Chicken Enchiladas form the $7.99 meal (that used to be $6.99), it was the poorest enchilada to say the least. The chicken was dry, the rice was DRY, and the Pico de Gallo was just onions. Poor excuse for Mexican food in a town that has so many Mexican Restaurants. Last time I was there, I had their 8 oz prime rib special. I have had hundreds of prime rib dinners in restaurants in my lifetime and I can truthfully say that this was the worst piece of prime rib I have ever experienced. I ordered it medium. It looked like an uncooked end slice that had been fried in a frying pan so it was brown on the outside and barely cooked on the inside, almost raw. Most of it was grisly and uneatable. In summary, I would say that breakfast there is about a four, lunch a 3.5 and dinner a 1 star. read more

We visited here for dinner with our 10 year old child who brought in his McDonald's. He's autistic and a very picky eater. The manager Krys came up to the table and told him he couldn't have his McDonald's. He started crying because he thought he was in trouble. Our server, Brandon, was great and he didn't even know that was a rule. He stated no one has ever said anything before. My husband had to take him outside to eat. We waited an hour on the food and our group received their meals at different times. The first person to receive their meal was done eating before the last person was served. This begs the question what was the meal that took so long to prepare? Answer; Chicken Enchiladas with rice! The wait staff is great here but the food, not so much. I ordered the All American Breakfast with "fried, over-medium eggs, bacon, hash browns extra crispy, and sourdough toast." The eggs were way undercooked- the yokes ran all over the plate upon breaking them, the middle of the white parts were still runny and jiggly. Half of each piece of bacon was only slightly cooked, which made me concerned whether or not it should be eaten. The hash browns were cooked on the top side only (the bottom never saw the pan) and the top cooked part was only slightly cooked. In other words, the breakfast was terrible and I left most of what I was served on the plate. Oh, I stand corrected... the sourdough toast was good. It's my fault for going to this casino for a cheap breakfast. Just remember that saying, "you get what you pay for!" Might be better to enjoy scrambled eggs or pancakes here instead. read more

The restaurant is inside the casino. The casino a very nice local place and the restaurant fits right in along with it's bar. Four of came for breakfast. We had steak & eggs, chicken fried steak & eggs and biscuit and gravy, and all-meat omelet. A couple of us had Bloody Marys and others had mimosas. The food was very good and the drinks equally good. Our server Rechelle (sp) was excellent. She was personable and attentive. Prices were also excellent. While our two family members living nearby visit often, it was our first time. We look forward to coming again to eat when visiting family in the area again. read more

Stopped in for a Late Breakfast on a Weekday. Not too busy but I told my wife I wouldn't want to come here at their busy times. My wife & I Shared the Ham Steak That Completely Covers a Large Plate! The Ham Steak was 1/2" Thick with a Very Little Bone and Very Little Fat! The Very Best That I have ever had. Eggs, Potatoes and Toast for $8.99! We boxed 1/2 the Ham and had enough for two this morning. The Service was Fair Not Great But I will go back anytime I am in the area. The place was Very Clean! Great Value!!! read more

We have been eating here for over a year now. Breakfast was not the best. Apparently, the prices have gone up a little bit. This review is about dinner last night at 8 pm. The restaurant was not busy. We ordered for 6. 5 of us got items off the new $7.99 menu. 3 chicken parm, 1 chicken, 1 pork chop. I tried all dishes and they were wonderful. Everything cooked to perfection and delicious flavoring. Best chicken parm I have eaten in a while, pork chops were very tender and cooked perfectly, chicken breast had a nice spicy kick to it. This is not a buffet but the amount of food you get will fill you up. Better than buffet since food is freshly prepared and hot. I can see bad reviews for slow service and they need to add another person as a server. Still it was worth the slight weight. I love to complain about food but I have none here. Great job. read more

Huge portions at low prices with great quality! I went here around 5:30pm on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. Within a few minutes of being seated, our waiter asked about drinks and brought them quickly. I ordered the chicken parmesan special that comes with a side of spaghetti and two chunks of garlic bread (all for $5.99). There was relatively little wait for it to get there and it was a lot of food for $6 so I wasn't expecting it to be that great. I was wrong. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce and cheese on top were amazing. The spaghetti was very flavorful and the garlic bread wasn't overcooked nor did it have an overpowering garlic flavor. Being a heavier meal, the portion size was perfect and it was nicely presented. They have a wide variety of desert options, including fried cheesecake (the description made it sound like a quesadilla, but with cheesecake instead). Not feeling *that* adventurous, I just got a slice of NY style cheesecake and it was very good. The crust wasn't crumbly at all and the it tasted great, probably the best I've gotten from a casino. Excellent friendly efficient staff! The restaurant and bar eating area are very nice. Great menu selection and many items to choose from. Prime Rib is awesome, and the berry cobbler are super! The pizza is cooked in a stone oven and homemade...They also offer homemade daily special soups too.....There are always lots of other specials too!! Jose at the bar does an excellent job and is super friendly and accommodating. Restaurant manager Hugo is very polite and checks on our table to see if everything is good quite often. Norma, restaurant waitress is a nice person and is great with our orders. The bus staff, Francisco and Riley are very nice and efficient. Highly recommend this spot! Food has gone downhill since re-opening. Ordered a Cobb salad and was presented a bowl of brown hard lettuce covered mostly with chopped green onion and chopped purple onion. Should be advertised as onion nasty brown lettuce salad. My husbands steak made him ill later and he could not eat the stale cold French fries or cooked to death veggies. Have eaten here many times, however tonight I was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! My friend and I both ordered prime rib. My friend ordered hers rare and it came looking well done and it was a scrawny piece that looked like it was leftover from a day or two ago. My friend told the waitress (I believe her name was Nan) that she wanted it rare and the waitress took it back to the kitchen. However, the waitress returned within a couple minutes and told my friend the kitchen did not have any rare pieces of prime rib and wanted my friend to accept the piece she got in the first place which she did not. She was then charged for the soup and baked potato. Any good waitress would have talked to her manager to not charge my friend because of the meal that was presented. It was a total disappointment. My prime rib came well done like I ordered but everything on my plate was cold. I should have sent it back but I didn't. It's a shame that this happened. I always liked BODINE'S but now it's very doubtful that I will ever return. read more

We've been going here for years but lately it has been disappointing. We went last week and got in right away. It wasn't really busy. We got water and 2 min to decide what to order. We let our server, Mishelle, know we weren't ready yet but she didn't take our drink order either. We ordered a chicken fried steak dinner with lots of extra gravy, prime rib done medium, and a regular steak medium rare. We then had to prompt her to take the drink order too, tea, pepsi, and root beer. When we got our food, there was no extra gravy which we again asked for. The prime rib was more than medium done, and the steak was very rare with a quick sear on it. It took 5 min to get the extra gravy and we told the hostess that the steak was too rare. They took it back and were back in 90 seconds with the same steak. When we asked what they, did they told us they MICROWAVED it. Microwaving a steak ruins it. So we asked for a whole new plate, when it came out we had the SAME problem. The steak was TOO RARE again. So my friend asked to order something else and got chicken strip with fries. The fries were OVERDONE. WTH? To add insult to injury, they NEVER refilled our sodas. Apparently, Mischelle repeatedly forgot as she kept telling us she would bring over refills and then would go take another order. VERY DISAPPOINTING! NOT GOING BACK! read more

Really a 3.5. Coupon + hungry = stop at Bodine's. I remember when this used to be a little cabin restaurant on a corner lot and people lined up for its burgers. Now it's a modern little restaurant (with the requisite glass pendant lamp shades) tucked inside a casino! Kudos for a great ventilation system - it didn't smell smoky at all in the restaurant. I opted for the small wood-fired Margharita pizza. Thin crust - check. Flavorful - check. Perfect for lunch. I think it was around $8. My friend ordered the 8 oz. sirloin steak for under $10. It looked tiny, but it was thick and looked perfectly done. I tasted the mashed potatoes which were delicious, albeit slightly salty. Vegetables were standard steamed. We splurged and also had a dish of gorgeous ice cream for dessert. I especially liked the fact that they brought over a little carafe of iced tea so I could keep my drink topped up. Nice touch. Overall, your basic menu with reasonable prices in a nice atmosphere inside a little casino. No, don't drive an hour to come here, but if you're in the neighborhood, it's not a bad choice. read more
